  • Death: He died on March 28, 2016, at age 76.
  • Note: Nathan C. Danke, age 76, went home to be with Jesus on March 28, 2016. Nathan was born on March 27, 1940, to Leonard C and Ethel(Dorow)Danke. He was made a child of God through baptism on April 21, 1940. After the death of his mother in 1962, Nathan joined his dad and brother, Arden, and lived and farmed with them on the Danke farm, just east of Readfield. Dad passed in 1990 and the farm was sold. Nathan enjoyed visiting with people. He said he never met a stranger, for after visiting with them, they were his friend. Nathan had many friends, and cared about them all. Nathan is survived by one brother, Alton(Barb)Danke, New London; two sisters, Donna(Dave)Pagel, Neenah, and Elvera Kent, Appleton; a sister-in-law, Norene Danke, Weyauwega; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, who Nathan was very close to. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Owen(Erna), Ivan(Audrey), Leon and Arden; three sisters, Myra(Robert)Magolski, Sylvia Ruppel and Lyda Danke; an infant brother, a brother-in-law, David Kent; nieces, Ronda Danke and Dorothy Magolski; nephews, Greg and Cory Danke, Joseph Magolski, an infant son of Ivan and Audrey Danke, and Timothy Danke; and a great-nephew, Trent Magolski. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, N926 Dale, Ave., Dale. Rev. William Finn will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Readfield. Visitation will be held on Friday, at the church from 9AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Dale; Zion Lutheran Church, Readfield or the charity of your choice , per Nathan's request.



    Nathan's family would like to thank everyone who showed him love and kindness throughout his life including his many friends at Franklin Apt, especially Kim. Out grateful thanks to the staff and team at Kindred Hearts and Heartland Hospice; Pastor Finn-just know your visits meant so much to Nathan; and to others who shared God's word with him.

  • Birth: Arden D Danke was born on August 20, 1945.
  • Death: He died on June 1, 2012, at age 66.
  • Note: Arden D. Danke, age 66, of Readfield, was called home by his Savior on Friday, June 1, 2012, which would have been his dad's 110th birthday. Arden was born on August 20, 1945, the youngest child of the late Leonard and Ethel (Dorow) Danke. Arden lived with his dad and his brother, Nathan, on the Danke homestead in Readfield, for many years and spent most of his time with his Dad, until he passed in 1990. After Arden's health began to decline, he moved into a nursing home, and had been at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega since 2005. The staff at Lakeview became his family, and took excellent care of him. Arden loved a good joke, and was always a caring, big teddy bear of a guy. Arden is survived by two brothers, Alton (Barb) and Nathan, both of New London; two sisters, Donna (David) Pagel, Neenah; and Elvera Kent, Appleton; a sister-in-law, Norene Danke, Weyauwega; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Owen(Erna), Ivan (Audrey) and Leon; three sisters, Myra (Robert) Magolski, Sylvia Ruppel and Lyda Danke; an infant brother, and a brother-in-law, David Kent. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, N985 County Rd. W, Readfield. Pastor Peter Kesting will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for Zion Lutheran Church, Readfield, or the charity of your choice.



    Arden's family wishes to thank the staff at Lakeview Manor for their many years of wonderful care and love. They would also like to thank Pastor Diener for his many visits over the years, and to Pastor Kesting for his visits and ministering, it is all greatly appreciated.

  • Death: Myra E Danke died on July 13, 2010, at age 77, in Appleton, Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Myra E. Magolski, age 77, New London, died on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at Appleton Medical Center following a brief illness. Myra was born on April 2, 1933, in Readfield daughter of the late Leonard and Ethel (Dorow) Danke. She was a 1951 graduate of Washington High School, New London. On July 26, 1952, she was united in marriage to Robert Magolski. He preceded her in death in 1982. Myra loved cooking and baking, gardening and flowers, and enjoyed playing cards with her many friends. In 1983, she became a certified nurses assistant and worked in home health care. Myra was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid, a 4H member and leader for many years and also a member of the VFW Auxiliary, St. Joseph Residence Ladies Auxiliary and Love Lights Christmas program and volunteered for meals on wheels.

    Myra is survived by three sons: David (Carol) Magolski, New London; Daryl Magolski (fiancee, Mary Emerson), Kaukauna; Darwin Magolski, New London; a daughter, Diane Muskevitsch (special friend, Mouse Gerrits), New London; three brothers: Alton (Barbara) Danke, New London; Nathan Danke, New London; Arden Danke, Weyauwega; three sisters: Donna (David) Pagel, Neenah; Elvera (David) Kent, Appleton; Sylvia Ruppel, Appleton; a sister-in-law, Norene Danke, Waupaca. Eight grandchildren: Jenny (Dan) Heise, Greenville; Jim Magolski, Fargo, ND; Bret (Kari) Magolski, New London, Chad (Amanda) Magolski, New London; Cory Magolski (special friend Ashley), Weyauwega; Teasha (Kasey) Kaepernick, New London; Tracy (Paul) Jarchow, Scandinavia; and Travis (Noemi) Muskevitsch, New London. Eleven great-grandchildren: Parker, Kylie, Haille, Kailyn, Porter, Treston, Jolynn, Daniel, Autumn, Chesney and Mariah. She is further survived by a special friend, Millie Gore, New London; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Besides her parents and husband Myra was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph, a daughter, Dorothy, a son-in-law, Joe Muskevitsch, a grandson, Trenton Magolski, three brothers, Ivan, Owen and Leon Danke, two sisters-in-law, Erna and Audrey Danke, an infant sister, Lydia and infant brother.

    Funeral services for Myra will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Readfield. Friends and family may call at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home on Thursday, July 15, 2010, from 4-8 p.m. and also at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

    The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph Residence, staff at Appleton Medical Center, Pastors at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Pastor Finn from Dale and also Chaplin Krueger at Appleton Medical Center.

  • Note: David Lee "Tuff" Kent went home to Jesus on April 4, 2012, after a battle with lung cancer. He was born the youngest child of Elmer and Meta (Ziebell) Kent in Mukwa Township (Waupaca County), on March 18, 1936. Dave became a baptized child of God on November 24, 1946. He was confirmed on March 29, 1953 at Emanuel Lutheran, New London.

    On October 4, 1958, he married his wife of 53 years Elvera Jean Danke at Zion Lutheran Church in Readfield. They were blessed with four children. A son, Randy (Betsy) Kent, New London, WI- their children Tony (Stephanie) Kent and their daughter Olivia and Dan (friend Miranda) Kent and daughter Madelynn. A daughter, Debbie (Robert) Wollangk, Fremont, WI and her children Steven (fiancée Michelle) Levezow, Becky (Shaun) Richter and their son William and Katie Jo Levezow. And Rob's sons Robert M and Casey Wollangk. Another son, Rod (friend Rachalle) Kent and his children Hannah and David and Melissa (Brandon) Hilker and their children Mahlia and Charles. And a daughter Darla (Sam) Smith and their children Robert and Lexie.

    Dave is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, his only brother, Earl "Jerry" Kent, New London, sisters: Doris "Jen" (Robert) Frank, Oshkosh, WI, and Alice "Mudge" Lathrop, New London. He is further survived by his in laws Alton (Barb) Danke, New London, Donna (Dave) Pagel, Neenah, WI, Nathan Danke of New London, Arden Danke of Weyauwega and sister in law Noreen Danke.

    He is preceded in death by parents Elmer and Meta Kent, New London, WI. A sister Beatrice (Gordon) Dorow, sister-in-law, Bernice Kent and brother-in-law, Herb Lathrop. Also proceeded on Elvera's side, brother-in-laws, Owen (Erna) Danke, Readfield, WI, Ivan (Audrey) Danke, and Leon Danke. Sister-in-laws Myra (Robert) Magolski, Readfield, WI and Sylvia "Sis" Ruppel, and their infant sister Lyda. And daughter-in-law, Tracy Kent.

    Dave loved his wife, Elvera, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much! He was very grateful to his sister-in-law, Bernice for insisting that he get a Christian education. Over the years Dave grew to love his Lord and to trust Him in life and death. He kept saying, "When the doctors here on earth have done all they can then the "Big Guy" will handle the rest. I have no problems, it's all good." He was a lover of dogs, especially his dogs Princess and Casey. Over the years Dave worked for Curwood, Inc., New London Co-op and Waupaca County as a grader driver. During his illness he said "when the Lord needs a grader driver in heaven he'll take me home". Dad loved to shoot the bull and stir the pot when it came to his opinions on politics, Buick vs. any other model and Case tractors over John Deere! Thank you to all who indulged him!

    We, the family, would like to thank all of our Pastors from Immanuel, Greenville, and the many friends who have supported Dad and all of us during his illness. We are also grateful to Dr. Swanson and all the Thedacare Hospice team. You are all awesome and appreciated!

    Funeral services for David will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Greenville with Rev. John Qualmann officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

    In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or school.

  • Death: She died on May 5, 2011, at age 67, in Appleton, Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Sylvia Ann (Danke) Ruppel, 67, Appleton, took the Lord's hand and went home on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was born on May 28, 1943, In New London, Wis., the daughter of the late Leonard and Ethel (Dorrow) Danke. On June 27, 1943, Sylvia was welcomed into God's Kingdom of grace through the rite of Holy Baptism. Sylvia later made her solemn vow to God at her confirmation on April 14, 1957, at Zion Lutheran Church in Readfield. Sylvia attended the Yellowstone Trail School and graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School on June 2, 1961. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dale, where she served with the Ladies Aid and the Pioneer Leaders. She was employed at AAL and she enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time with her family.

    Sylvia is survived by her children, Linda Ruppel, Appleton; Charles (Karen) Ruppel, Appleton; Carl (Tara) Ruppel, Appleton; and Jana (Paul Christian), New London; eight grandchildren, Alyssa, Casandra, Destany, Cody, Nicholas, Darsity, Jacob and Connor; three brothers, Alton (Barbara) Danke, New London; Nathan Danke, New London; and Arden Danke, Weyauwega; two sisters, Donna (David) Pagel, Neenah; and Elvera (David) Kent, Appleton; a sister-in-law, Norene Danke, Waupaca; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Sylvia was preceded in death by four brothers, Owen (Erna) Danke, Ivan (Audrey) Danke, Leon Danke, and an infant brother; two sisters, Myra (Robert) Magolski and Lyda Danke.

    Visitation will be held at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont, on Wednesday, May 11, 2011, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dale. Pastor Bill Finn will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Readfield. A memorial fund has been established.

    Sylvia's family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the staff at Tri-Manor South for your many years of service and care. Also a very special thank you to everyone at St. Elizabeth Hospital, especially the ER Staff, Dr. Baum and the staff in the ICU, for their care and compassion during her stay there.
