    Charles J. Cox, age 76 of Larsen, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly early Thursday morning, March 9,
    2000, at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He was born July 3, 1923, in Menasha, son of
    the late Henry and Caroline (Koch) Cox. He married Marjorie Anderson on November 22, 1943, in
    Waupaca, Wisconsin. They made their home in Waupaca, Medina, Zittau and since 1959 in
    Winchester, Wisconsin. Charles honored his Country as he served with the United States Navy
    during World War II. He was employed with American Can Corporation until a mill accident
    caused him to retire in 1964. Marge and Charles operated a Christmas Wreath business in
    Winchester for 40 years. They had been a major supplier of wreaths for the Boys' Brigade and for
    many Boy Scout Troops for their wreath sales for many years.

    He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Zittau and the American Legion Post of
    Fremont. Charles enjoyed people and especially enjoyed visiting friends and having them over for
    chats and coffee. He was an avid wrestling fan and also one of his joys was to purchase a new car
    every other year.

    He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marjorie Cox, Winchester; four sons and three
    daughters-in-law, John and Ofuka Cox, Neenah; Jerry and Tena Cox, Butte des Morts; Bob and Sue
    Cox, Middleburg, Florida; David Cox and his fiancee, Tammy, Appleton; a son-in-law, Dick
    Cichanowski, Neenah; a brother, Pershing Cox, Neenah; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren,
    a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in
    death by a daughter, Barbara Cichanowski, in 1994, and a sister, Virginia.

    Funeral services will be Monday, March 13, 2000, at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church,
    Zittau, Wisconsin, with the Reverend David Redmann officiating. Burial will be in the Saxeville
    Union Cemetery, Saxeville, Wisconsin. Friends and relatives may call at the Mueller Funeral Home,
    Winneconne, on Sunday from 2 until 5 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the
    hour of services.

  • Note: Marjorie Cox, age 94, formerly of Winchester, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Carolina Assisted Living in Appleton. She was born June 7, 1923, in Waupaca to the late Albert Sr. and Jesse (Lamb) Anderson. On November 22, 1943, Marge married Charles Cox in Waupaca and they made their home in Waupaca, Medina, Zittau, and Winchester. For over 40 years Marge and Charles operated a Christmas wreath business in Winchester; being a major supplier of wreaths for the Boys Brigade and for many Boy Scout Troops for their fundraising efforts. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Zittau where she had served as a Sunday school teacher, and was involved in its Ladies Aid and Prayer & Praise. Marge enjoyed sewing, drawing, cooking, and visiting over many cups of coffee.

    Marge is survived by three sons and four daughters-in-law, John and Ofuku Cox, of Neenah; Jerry and Tena Cox, of Pine River; Sue Cox, of Middleburg, Florida; David and Shelley Cox, of Little Chute; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert Anderson Jr.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

    Along with her parents, Marge was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles Cox; a daughter, Barbara Cichanowski; a son, Bob Cox; and a sister, Eileen Pederson.

    A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, September 9, 2017, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church 9077 North Rd. Fremont. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Mark Kinney officiating. Burial will be in the Saxeville Union Cemetery, town of Saxeville.
