    Langenberg, Clayton J. "Clayt"

Clayton J. "Clayt" Langenberg, 81, Green Bay resident, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at an area hospital. He was born Nov. 15, 1927, in the town of Preble to the late Carl and Catherine (Finnel) Vanden Langenberg. On May 7, 1949 he married Rosemary Kriescher at Holy Trinity Church, Pine Grove. Clayt was employed at Procter & Gamble for 36 years, retiring in 1989. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, who always kept family and friends close to his heart. He was always willing to lend a hand to family, friends and neighbors — fondly known as the "mayor" of Zeise Street neighborhood, with his swing serving as his office. Clayt loved to fish, cheer for the Packers, and especially spend time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Rosemary; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary (Desiree), Brussels; Dale (Judy), DePere; Paul (Shannon), Appleton; seven grandchildren: Ben, Clay, Casey, Keagan, Delaney, Payton and Jaeden; two great-grandchildren, Macie and MaKenna. He is also survived by one brother and three sisters, Ethel (Louie) Monfils, Green Bay; Jerrie (George) Dorner, Sheboygan; Harland (Pat) Langenberg, Green Bay; and Dolly Vanden Heuvel, Green Bay; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Neville, Grafton; and one former daughter-in-law, Judy Langenberg, Green Bay.

Besides his parents, Clayt was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Jerry Barry and Larry Vanden Heuvel.

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. with Rev. David Pleier officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Online condolences may be sent to the Langenberg family at www.prokowall.com.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Clayt's name is being established.

Clayt's family would like to express a sincere thank you to the Green Bay Fire Department Rescue Squad and the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Vincent Emergency Room and 4th Floor ICU.

Ken was a proud 20+year employee of the Milwaukee Railroad. He was also a proud 23-year employee of Jacobs Engineering, retiring in February 2009.

If you ever needed to know something that was going on in De Pere, you could go to Ken. If he did not know, he would certainly find out for you. He also enjoyed being "Papa" to Cami, Carli and Brent.

Our family would also like to thank the De Pere Fire and Rescue, St. Vincent Hospital and Prevea Allouez Cardiology Staff. Thank you also to his "up north" family Tom, Barb, and the good people at the Nine Mile Sport Resort. We also would like to thank his De Pere Mobil Family, Citgo Y-Mart Family, Nicolet Restaurant Family, and his Side Kicks Family. Ken always included you in his daily visits. Ken would also want us to mention his favorite Camp 55 Hunting Crew. He so enjoyed the times spent with you.

Our family is at peace knowing that Dad is once again reunited with Mom. We love you, Dad.
