  • Note: Frank Bartlein, 65, a resident of the town of Menasha, died unexpectedly late Friday night or early Saturday morning at his home. He was found dead by members of the family. Mr. Bartlein was born April 20, 1865, in the town of Harrison and had spent his entire life in the vicinity. His survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. H. J. Rosenow, of Menasha, and two sons, Leon and Lester, both of whom reside at the family home. Of four surviving sisters, one, Mrs. Fred Eckrich, is a resident of Menasha. Funeral arrangements have not been made, but members of the family have asked that flowers be omitted.

  • Death: Elizabeth Huelsbeck died on March 9, 1941, at age 72, in Menasha, Winnebago Co, Wisconsin.
  • Burial: She was buried in St Mary Cemetery, Menasha, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Mrs. Elizabeth Bartlein, 72, died at 2:45 Sunday morning at her home, route 1, Menasha, after being in poor health for a number of years. She was born May 4, 1863, in the town of Harrison and lived on a farm on the Manitowoc road until 1905 and on a farm now occupied by a son Lester in Calumet county until 1926. Mr. and Mrs. Bartlein retired in 1926, moving to the town of Menasha on Manitowoc road. She was a member of the St. Anne society of St. Mary's parish, Menasha.

    Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. H. J. C. Rosenow, Menasha; two sons, Leon and Lester, route 1, Menasha; two brothers, John Huelsbeck, Appleton, and William Huelsbeck, Cantonment, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Schlegel, St. Elizabeth hospital, Appleton, and seven grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church, Menasha. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Hummel will conduct the services. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be said at 8 o'clock tonight and Tuesday night and at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Laemmrich Funeral home, Menasha.

Lucille Bartlein

  • Birth: Lucille Bartlein was born on May 18, 1899 in Town of Harrison, Calumet Co, Wisconsin.
  • Death: She died on April 20, 1979, at age 79, in Neenah, Winnebago Co, Wisconsin.
  • Burial: She was buried in St Mary Cemetery, Menasha, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Age 79, died early Friday morning at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center following a lingering illness. She was born May 18, 1899 in Menasha where she was a life long resident. She was a member of the Sanctuary Society of St. Patrick Church and former Choir Director of St. Patrick Church. She was a member of Butte des Morts Country Club. Mrs. Rosenow attended Lawrence Conservatory of Music. She was a past president of the Wisconsin Confederation of Music and a member of the Elks Ladies.

    Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. James (Alice) Rogers, Racine; and Mrs. Thomas (Helen) Kuether, Waukesha; 11 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Laemmrich Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church with Rev. William Kuhr officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Laemmrich Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday with a 7 p.m. prayer service.

  • Burial: He was buried in St Mary Cemetery, Menasha, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Age 64, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning. He was born in the town of Harrison May 23, 1906. Mr. Bartlein farmed in the town of Harrison until 20 years ago at which time he retired due to illness.

    He is survived by his wife, Reva; one daughter, Mrs. John (Jacqueline) Wurdinger, Kaukauna; one son, Sam, Menasha; one sister, Mrs. Henry Rosenow, Menasha; and 5 grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Laemmrich Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Eugene Hotchkiss officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Laemmrich Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. A prayer service will be held at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.
