Irene was born on June 9, 1929 in Appleton, daughter of the late John and Caroline (Blatz) Weber. She was married to Kenneth Liebhauser until he preceded her in death on January 3, 1993. Irene enjoyed making Christmas candy, doing crafts, cooking, fishing, music, going to concerts, gardening and was very proud of her lawn! She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Neenah. Irene is survived by a daughter and 4 sons, Sandra (Bob) Thurber, Robert (Sherri), Gary (Susan), Brian (Tammy), and Bradley (Terese). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Harold Eichstadt. Irene was preceded in death by a grandson, Jamie Thurber, 3 sisters and 7 brothers.

    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division Street, Neenah with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in St. Margaret's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.     Recent Traffic Accident
    Joseph A. Weber, 38, 745 W. Prospect avenue, who
    was injured by a taxi on the night of Aug. 5, died about
    7 o'clock Saturday evening. The traffic fatality is the
    third in the city of Appleton and the eighth in
    Outagamie county this year.
    Weber was injured fatally in an accident involving a
    taxi driven by Ronald Barrett, 24, 311 First street,
    Neenah, on Prospect avenue, about 10:23 on the night
    of Aug. 5. Weber had stepped from a taxi on the north
    side of the street and was crossing the avenue when hit
    by the second taxi driven by Barrett who was traveling
    east, according to police.
    District Attorney Raymond P. Dohr said an inquest
    will be held and a coroner's jury viewed the body. . . .
    Mr. Weber was born in the town of Osborn,
    Outagamie county, Jan. 12,1901, and lived in Appleton
    the last 27 years. He was employed by the Valley
    Beverage company and formerly operated a tavern at
    118 S. Walnut street. He was a member of St. Joseph's
    church and the Holy Name society.
    Survivors are the widow; two brothers. Matt J. and
    John M., Appleton; two sisters, Mrs. Theodore
    Verhoeven, Freedom; Mrs. Theodore Lorenz, Appleton.
    The funeral will be held at 8:30 Wednesday morning
    at Wichmann Funeral home with services at 9 o'clock at
    St. Joseph's church. Burial will be in the parish
    cemetery chapel. The body will be at the funeral home
    from this afternoon to the hour of services. The rosary
    will be recited there at 7:30 tonight and by the Holy
    Name society at the same time tomorrow evening,

    WEBER FUNERAL
    Funeral services for Joseph Weber, 745 W. Prospect
    avenue, were held this morning at Wichmann Funeral
    home and at St. Joseph's church. Burial was in
    cemetery chapel. A solemn requiem high mass was
    held, with the Rev. Father Myron as celebrant, the Rev.
    Father Gabriel as deacon, and the Rev. Father Ivan as
    sub-deacon. Members of the Holy Name society
    attended. Bearers were Earl and Melvin Weber,
    Vincent and Earl Verhoeven, Orval and Delbert Lorenz.

  • Note: Billie Jean (Boykin Hartleb) Dorn, age 89, passed peacefully onto the Lord on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Dorn family home in Menasha, Wisconsin. Billie Jean succumbed due to complications from breast cancer. She was surrounded by her loving husband Lawrence and close family members.

    Billie Jean was born on March 25, 1926 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to the late Carl and Mary Alice (Stevens) Boykin. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and married Edward M. Hartleb, Jr. in 1947. Billie Jean worked at Upjohn Company in Kalamazoo until the birth of her first child. She was widowed in 1972 after 25 years of marriage.

    In 1975, Billie Jean moved to Florida where she went to school and earned her real estate license, broker's license, and mortgage license. For several years she worked for Peter Kleist in commercial real estate, mainly in Naples, Florida.

    An important aspect throughout her life was her dedication to her faith. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton, and Church of the Resurrection in Fort Myers, Florida. Every day was lived in gratitude for all God created and bestowed on her, her family, and friends. She was a voracious reader and learner who loved life. Her many interests included family, faith, friends, golf, reading, duplicate bridge, and travel.

    She was an active member of the Cypress Lakes Country Club in Fort Myers, Florida for 40 years. As a member of a weekly bridge group she was known for her perceptive play. Billie Jean so enjoyed her monthly book club meetings, and often shared that experience with family and other friends.

    Billie Jean and her husband Larry enjoyed many golf trips around the U.S. and the Dominican Republic. They also traveled to Greece, Israel, Japan, Ireland, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

    Larry will miss Billie Jean, her quick wit, her energy and enthusiasm and companionship. He fully committed himself to providing her comfort during her last days. They were happily married for 22 years. Billie Jean was dedicated to her family, relatives and friends. Most importantly she so enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were the love of her life. She was loved by all, and will be missed and remembered always as a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

    Billie Jean is survived by her husband Lawrence Dorn, Sr.; her children: Edward M. "Ted" (Vicki) Hartleb, III, and Barbara (Norman) Kessling; stepson Lawrence Dorn, Jr.; grandchildren: Valerie (Jeremiah) Johnson; Joanna Kessling and Michael (Jennifer) Kessling; Lawrence (Kristin Roovers) Dorn, III, Jennifer (Matt) Vandenberg, and Elizabeth (Cory) Robinson; great grandchildren: Ella and Issac Johnson; Lawrence Dorn IV; Chase, Sanibel, and Denver Vandenberg; her brother Jack Boykin; sisters- and brothers-in-law: Florence Woldt, Rosella Ernst, Donald Dorn, Charlotte Koerner, Patricia Jack, Marilyn Dorn, and Beatrice (Gene) Otto. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Billie Jean was preceded in death by a stepson Steven Dorn, and a sister-in-law Pat Boykin.

    The funeral liturgy for Billie Jean will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont Street in Appleton. Fr. Don Zuleger and Fr. Bill Kuhr will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Wichmann Funeral Home Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Oneida Street in Menasha, and at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 am until 10:45 am.     Rosella was born on March 13, 1922, in Greenville, the daughter of Daniel and Charlotte (Ulmen) Dorn, Sr., the 6th child of 13. She married Rudolph Ernst in Greenville on October 15, 1940. They had 6 children together. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1980. Rosella had worked numerous jobs while raising her children. She retired at age 75. She loved to travel, including trips to Ireland, France, Italy, Austria, Portugal, Yugoslavia, and many cruises with family members. Rosella had a very strong Catholic faith. She was a member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters for over 70 years.

    Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Portage, where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Gary Krahenbuhl presiding. Burial will take place on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Pardeeville Cemetery.

    Memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Portage.
