  • Note: Richard J. Manders, 81, formerly of Wausaukee and recently a resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015. He was born March 8, 1934, in Green Bay, to the late John and Genevieve (Van Den Heuvel) Manders. Richard enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1956 and was Honorably Discharged in 1960. He was a member of the Brick Layers and Allied Craftsman Local #3.

    Survivors include his siblings: Suzanne Boerschinger, Oshkosh, John Manders Jr., Racine, Gerald (Patty Ann) Manders, Green Bay; sister-in-law Lois Manders; and nieces and nephews: Lori, James, Kathryn, Michelle, Ginny, Kim, Kristine, Paul, Mark, and Stephanie Ann.

    He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and James Manders.

    Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Allouez Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.prokowall.com.

    Thomas P. Neuman

    Age 49, passed away at 4 a.m. Thursday. He was born February 18, 1921, in Appleton and resided in Appleton all of his life. He was an owner of a Standard Oil Station. Mr. Neuman was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Elks Club and the American Legion. He served in Germany in the European Theatre of War.

    Survivors include his wife, Katherine; one daughter, Miss Candy, Appleton; four sons, Paul, Madison; Pat, Mike and Thomas, all of Appleton; one sister, Mrs. June Campbell, Appleton.

    Funeral services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church,l Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Edward Wagner officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home from 3 p.m. Friday until 10:30 a.m. Saturday and then at the church until the time of service. A Scripture reading will be held at 8 p.m. Friday.
