  • Note: Marvin W. Timm, Sr., age 88, of Neenah, passed away peacefully on Wednesday,

    September 4, 2013. He was born on January 15, 1925, in Menasha to the late Herman and Anna (Kluess) Timm.

    At the age of 17 and with the consent of his parents, Marvin enlisted in the United States Navy to serve his country during World War II. On February 14, 1948, he married Millie Lenz of Appleton, who preceded him in death on October 9, 1993.

    He retired from Kimberly-Clark Corporation in 1990 after more than 30 years of service. He was a long-time member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

    Marvin is survived by three children: Calvin (Melissa) Timm, Kaukauna; Cheryl Timm, Neenah; and Mark Timm, Dallas, TX; his brother-in-law, Robert Lueck, Appleton; his sister-in-law, Jane Timm, Appleton; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Marvin W. Timm, Jr.; his brothers, Raymond Timm and Earl (Leona) Timm; his sisters, Celeste (Jim) Dake; LaVila Lueck; and Marcella Timm; two daughters-in-law, Jane Timm and Mary Kay Timm; and two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Lenz and Merlyn Lenz.

    The funeral service for Marvin will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 9, 2013, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 809 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with The Rev. Catherine A.K. Mode officiating. Visitors may call at church from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Entombment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.

    In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Marvin's name.

  • Note: LaVila Lueck, age 84, passed safely into the arms of her waiting Lord on Monday afternoon, May 14, 2012. LaVila was born in Appleton on December 26, 1927, daughter of the late Herman and Anna (Kluess) Timm. She attended school for a time, but then needed to stay home to care for her ailing mother. On February 26, 1945, she married Bob Lueck in Seymour. In her younger years, Vi worked at Elm Tree Bakery, Food Queen, and Prange's. She also loved the many years she volunteered in the gift shop at Appleton Memorial Hospital (AMC).

    Vi is survived by her husband: Bob Lueck; two daughters: Joan Lueck and Diane (James) Strelka; four grandchildren: Lisa Wilderman, Sara (Kris) Meiers, Jamie (Jason) Daily, and Jaclyn (Greg) Schmidt; eight great-grandchildren: Shannen and Bryce Parker, Noah and Jonah Meiers, Zachary and Kailah Daily, and Kelsey and Abigail Schmidt; two brothers: Raymond (Jane) Timm and Marvin "Bud" Timm; and a sister-in-law: Betty Lueck. Vi was preceded in death by her parents; a son: Bob Lueck, Jr.; a granddaughter: Heather Jansen; a brother: Earl (Leona) Timm; two sisters: Celeste (Jim) Dake and Marcella Timm; a sister-in-law: Mildred Timm; in laws: Elmer and Elsie (Radichel) Lueck; and by Bob's family: Kermit (Fern) Lueck, Victor (Fay) Lueck, Norman Lueck, Dorothy Lueck, Lincoln "Abe" Lueck, Franklin Lueck, Bernice (Jack) Lowell, and Oscar Lueck.

    The Christian Funeral for Vi will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 18, 2012 at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 N. Morrison Street in Appleton with Rev. Paul Jenkins officiating. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

  • Note: Leroy Koehler, 85, Appleton, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Rennes Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on January 25, 1927, in Weyauwega, the son of the late Walter and Elsie (Miller) Koehler. On June 9, 1956, Lee married Geneva Redman in West Bloomfield, Wis. He was a sales representative in the trucking industry for over 40 years in and around the Fox River Valley. Most of those years were with Spector Freight System and Carolina Freight.

    Lee was a long-time member of St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega, and current member of Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton. He was a past president of the Fox Valley Traffic Club, former member of Ridgeway Country Club and member of Weymont Run Country Club.

    Lee will best be remembered for his terrific sense of humor for those who knew him. He enjoyed golfing with his friends and was always ready to participate in a good game of cards.

    He is survived by his loving wife, Geneva Koehler; two brothers, Werner (Jeanine) Koehler, Appleton; and Duane (Elizabeth) Koehler, Weyauwega; and sister-in-law, Joyce Christensen, Wautoma. Lee is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his sisters, Verona (Robert) Woldt, Loraine (Archie) Holcombe and Ardyce (Lee) DeBruin; mother-in-law, Rose Redman; brothers-in-law, Ronald Christensen and Douglas Redman; and sisters-in-law, Doris (Gordon) Fenske and Ramona Gallegos.

    The funeral service for Leroy will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 601 E. Glendale Avenue, Appleton. The Rev. James Wiebel will be officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at the church on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

    Memorials to Faith Lutheran Church are appreciated.

    Holcombe, Loraine May (Blondie)


    Loraine (Koehler) Holcombe passed away at home on April 27, 2010, with her family at her side. She was born in Weyauwega on January 25, 1927, to the late Walter and Elsie (Miller) Koehler. She worked at the Weyauwega Hotel becoming manager for many years. Loraine married Leslie (Archie) Holcombe in 1973 and they lived in Milwaukee until returning to Weyauwega. She loved spending time with her family and was affectionately known as Nana to her grandchildren. Loraine enjoyed crocheting, puzzling and playing cards with her friends and family. She was a member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.

    Loraine is survived by her children: Barb (Norm) Harris, Judy Gilbertson, David (Nancy) Gilbertson, Cindy Preuss (Judi Kiefer) and Judi's son, Michael. Her grandchildren: Tracy Grambsch and fiance Patrick Lyons, Chad (Rachel) Grambsch, Carly (Ben) Rhodes, Erin (Jason) Wait and step-grandchild, Rebecca (David) Kuchenbecker. Great-grandchildren Joseph, Benjamin, Megan and Brady Grambsch, Charlie Wait and Jacob Kuchenbecker. She is further survived by her twin brother, Leroy (Geneva) Koehler, Werner (Jeanine) Koehler, and Duane (Elizabeth) Koehler.

    Loraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Verona (Robert) Wohlt and Ardyce (Lee) DeBruin.

    A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 2010, at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, Weyauwega, with the Rev. Dennis Lemke and Robbin Robbert officiating. Relatives and friends will gather at Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home, Weyauwega, Sunday afternoon from 2-6 p.m. and again at church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega.

    The family wishes to extend their thanks to Pastor Lemke, Pastor Robbert, ThedaCare Hospice and to family and friends for their help and support.
