    Van Lannen, Arnold "Arnie" J.
    Arnold "Arnie" J. Van Lannen, 79, Green Bay resident, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at a local nursing home. He was born Dec. 24, 1929, in the Town of Clay Banks, to the late Ervin and Julia (Stangel) Van Lannen. Arnie served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1950 until his discharge in 1953. He married the former Dolores "Dolly" Wagner on May 25, 1957, at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Arnie and Dolly were married for 51 years, but were together for over 60 years. Arnie was employed at Paper Converting Machine Company for over 48 years until his retirement. He was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Angels Parish.
    He is survived by his wife, Dolores "Dolly" Van Lannen; and their children, Lori (Greg) Pamperin, Daniel (Deanna) Van Lannen and David Van Lannen, all of Green Bay; five grandchildren, Christopher (Laura), Nathan, Joshua, Danielle and Meghan. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren; his sisters, Irene Klein and Carol (Joe) Nachtwey, brother, Kenneth (Darlene) Van Lannen and sister-in-law, Ethel "Eppie" Van Lannen, all of Green Bay; nieces and nephews; good friends, Elton Rosin, Ron Jaworski, Bob Moran and Lee Denil.
    Arnie was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Van Lannen; one son-in-law, Robert "Bob" Smitham; one infant granddaughter, Stacy; one brother, Ervin "Ervie" Van Lannen; and a brother-in-law, Joe Klein.
    Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, corner of Cass and Irwin Sts. until time of Mass. Parish wake service 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church with Fr. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. and Fr. Joachim Swarick O.F.M. officiating.
