  • Marriage: He was married on December 21, 1995.
  • Death: He died on August 28, 2015, at age 66, in Neenah, Winnebago Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Michael A. Ales, age 66, of Appleton passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Theda Clark Medical Center. He was born on June 24, 1949, son of the late Thomas and Margaret Ales. On December 21, 1995 he married Susan K Kuklinski. Michael used to run his own painting business, held several custodial jobs in the area, and most recently was employed by the History Museum at the Castle. Mike's favorite pastime was watching movies with his wife.

    He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Sue; and numerous friends and relatives.

    In accordance with Mike's wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home is serving the family. 720-0314

    Patricia T. Geibel, age 62, Menasha, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 8, 2007. Pat was born October 3, 1944, in Appleton, the daughter of Tom Ales, Sr. and Mary (Jensen) Vanderwalker. She married Tom Geibel on October 15, 1984. Pat had been employed at Albany International for 20 years. Pat was a computer wizard, she enjoyed crocheting, reading and she loved her dogs. She was very artistic, creative and she was a really good cook.

    Pat is survived by her husband, Tom her children: Tony (Pam) Dietz, Appleton and Tim Dietz, Las Vegas. She is further survived by her stepchildren: Jeffrey (Carol) Geibel, Fremont Paul Geibel, Neenah Amy (Mike) Hammerich, Menasha David Geibel, Appleton Matthew Geibel, New London and Carrie (Don) Heldt, Darboy two grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Tom Jr. (Darlene) Ales, Larsen seven half brothers and sisters three special aunts who loved her dearly: Barbara Garcia, New Mexico Suzanne Schaumann, Menasha and Patricia Lalley, Appleton.

    Pat was preceded in death by her stepfather, R. "Copper" Vanderwalker.

    Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee St., Menasha. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.

    The family would like to thank Theda Care at Home Hospice Care for their wonderful and personal services.

    Pat will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

  • Death: Thomas L Geibel died on April 4, 2017, at age 88.
  • Note: Thomas L. Geibel, 88, passed away at his home on April 4th. He was born on February 20, 1929, the son of Hugh F. and Martha L. (Steenbock) Geibel. He grew up in Menasha, and was a graduate of MHS in 1947, and served in the USMC. Tom returned to Menasha to be close to his relatives and raise his own family. He worked at Albany International for 29 years until his retirement in 1992. Tom loved his dogs, sports, fishing, and carpentry, and was always building something in his workshop for either one of his children or grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Bud (Hugh) Geibel, his wife Patricia (Ales) Geibel, and his first wife and mother of his children, Sally Jo (Philippi) Kyle.

    He will be sadly missed by his children, Jeff Geibel, Paul Geibel, Amy (Michael)Hammerich, David Geibel, Matthew Geibel and Carrie (Don) Heldt along with grandchildren; Kanen Zerba, Connor Matthews, Autumn (Josh) Pekel, Ryan Hammerich, Morgan Heldt , and great grandson Maverick Pekel.

    A celebration of life will be held at Stone Toad on April 29th beginning at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established for one of Tom's favorite charities.LL.

  • Marriage: She and Robert B (Copper) VanderWalker were married on October 3, 1952.
  • Death: Mary Jensen died on April 7, 2011, at age 83, in Waupaca, Waupaca Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Mary E. Vanderwalker, age 83, of Weyauwega, died on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. She was born on May 3, 1927, in Menasha, WI, the daughter of the late William and Alta(Schultz) Jensen. On October 3, 1952, Mary married Robert "Copper" Vanderwalker. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2007. Mary enjoyed raising, grooming and showing dogs for many years.

    Mary is survived by a son, Thomas (Darlene) Ales Jr., Larsen; a son-in-law, Thomas Geibel, Menasha; five grandchildren: Tracey Rymer, Tammy Howe, Tom Ales III, Tony Dietz and Tim Dietz; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Lalley , Appleton; two nephews, Bill and Chris (Kimberly) Lalley.

    She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Geibel; and two sisters, Barbara Garcia and Sue Schaumann.

    A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont. Pastor Alex Tychkin will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

    Mary's family would like to thank everyone at Weyauwega Health Care Center, Lakeview Manor and Riverside Medical Center for all of the care they provided for Mary. They would also like to thank all of Mary's many special friends and neighbors for taking care of and helping her over the years.
