  • Birth: Robert W Ross was born on December 7, 1941 in New London, Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Marriage: He was married on September 3, 1960.
  • Death: He died on June 18, 2016, at age 74, in Appleton, Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Robert W. Ross, age 74, Shiocton, passed away from fighting an 8 month battle against cancer and is now with God with no more pain, on Saturday evening June 18, 2016, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton. Bob was born on December 7, 1941 in New London, son of Wesley and Elnora (Riehl) Ross. On September 3, 1960, he married his beloved wife Nancy Bedor. Bob worked as a licensed cheese maker for many years at Alto Dairy in Black Creek until his retirement.

    He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter, Sharon: granddaughter, Makayla (the apple of his eye from birth) Black Creek; son Michael Ross, Appleton; sisters: Carol (Vernon) Diedrick, Kaukauna; Mary (Lawerence) Le Mere, Black Creek; Susan (Jeffery) Beyer, Greenville and Bonnie (Marty) Ebben, New London; brother Gerald Ross, Seymour; mother-in-law, Marie Bedor, Appleton; brother-in-law, Robert J. (Judie) Bedor, Kimberly. He is further survived by numerous, nieces, nephews, other relatives and lots of good friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brother in-law, Janice (Donald) Kuhnke, and father in-law, Robert E. Bedor.

    Funeral services for Bob will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church (N3505 State Rd 47), Appleton with Rev. Jeffrey Suhr and Rev. Micah Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Shiocton-Bovina Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

    His three women (Nancy, Sharon and Makayla) will miss his strength, support and love forever.

    Burris, Roger D.
    Roger David Burris, 69, of Kiel, WI, passed away Monday morning, February 2, 2009, at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on May 4, 1939, in Milwaukee to the late Charles and Viola (Quade) Burris. Roger is survived by Jo Anne, his wife of 42 years, and his four children: John (Dawn), children Matt, Joe, Ashley, Autumn and Derek; Brad (Andrea), children Nadia and Brett; Shannon Vander Putten (John), children Madyson and Mitchell; and Traci Schroeder (Jason), children Jacob and Grace. He is also survived by his sisters Margie and Billie, and his brother Bob, as well as many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his brother John Burris, his grandchildren Maxwell and McKenna Vander Putten, his brother-in-law Dennis Stellmacher, as well as a half-sister Christine Bartz and half-brother Lowell Burris.
    He graduated from Markesan High School, Spencerian College with a bachelor's degree, and Cardinal Stritch University with a Master's degree. Roger proudly served his country for four years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Malone. Roger was employed at Fox Valley Technical College for over 20 years. He loved his time spent teaching. He had a passion for his family, friends, golf, sports and playing guitar.
    His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for the endless outpouring of love and support during this most difficult time. They are grateful to know he is completely restored in the Lord.
    Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2009, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Ave., New Holstein, WI. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home in New Holstein on Thursday, February 5th from 4-7 p.m. and again at the funeral home Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial funds will be established in his name. The Sippel Funeral Home in New Holstein, 920-898-4300, is assisting the family.
