  • Note: Janice M. "Tootie" Sauer, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016 at home. Tootie was born on August 17, 1936 to Martin and Vivian (Wilson) Jansen. On April 19, 1958 she was united in marriage to Robert Sauer in Appleton. Tootie worked for many years as a special needs aid for the Appleton Area School District. She enjoyed playing bingo and traveling, especially to their trailer in Crivitz. Tootie also enjoyed taking weekend trips with her sisters. Most of all family time was very important to her and the special times and memories they shared will always be treasured.

    Tootie is survived by her three children; Steve (Michelle) Sauer, Sharon (Paul Beardsley) Julius, Sheryl (Dean) Derouso, eight grandchildren; Brad Sauer, Kacie Sanders, Breanna Martell, Jessica Julius, Anthony Triolo, Corey Triolo, Tyler Derouso, and Preston Derouso, her siblings; Marilyn (Roger) Melum, Darlene (Butch) Mirek, Carol (Denny) Walter, Gary (Wendy) Jansen, sisters-in-law; Gloria Jansen and Sandy Jansen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Tootie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, brothers and sister; Barb Losse and Ronnie and Larry Jansen and a granddaughter, Amanda Merie Sauer.

    The memorial service for Tootie will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.

    Appleton
    Age 71, passed away at West Allis Memorial Hospital on Monday, October 4, 2004. He was born in Appleton on April 5, 1933, son of Harvey and Mildred (Kehl) Sauer. Harvey preceded him in death. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War. On April 19, 1958 he married Janice Jansen in Appleton. Bob spent many years being a foreman and being a manager at toy companies but most enjoyed driving a school bus for Appleton Schools. Bob had many interests including: building and racing stock cars, golfing, going up north to the trailer in Crivitz, and fixing things.
    Bob is survived by his wife, Janice; a son: Steven (Michelle) Sauer of Little Chute; daughters: Sharon Julius and Sheryl Triolo, both of Appleton; grandchildren: Brad, Kacie, Breanna, Jessica, Anthony and Corey; aunt, Dorothy Kupper; and nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his golfing friends: Gene, Bill and Donnie.
    Bob is preceded in death by his father, Harvey; granddaughter, Amanda; and his friend Larry.
    The memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2004, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton, with Rev. Roger McQuistion officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Appleton Highland Memorial Park.
    The family extends a very special thank you to the nurses at the I.C.U. at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their outstanding care.

    Jansen, Ronald J.
    Mr. Ronald J. Jansen, age 71, of Waupaca, formerly of Iola, passed away Wednesday, February 18th at his residence. Ron was born in Kimberly, Wisconsin, on February 8, 1938, he was the son of the late Martin and Vivian (Wilson) Jansen. On September 26, 1964, he married Sandy (Deltour) Jansen at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Appleton. Ron enjoyed spending time in Minoqua camping, fishing, boating and building campfires. He also enjoyed hunting at the shack and fishing on the Peterson. He enjoyed taking many trips to Las Vegas and Florida; and playing cards with friends. What he cherished most was spending time with his girls, sons-in-law and grandchildren. Ron and Sandy operated Jansen's Clubhouse Restaurant in Iola for 5 years.
    The family would like to thank The Theda Care Hospice team, Dr. Swanson and Mary Jo, Dr. Bauer and Reverend Nate Liedtke for the special care given to Ron and his family.
    He is survived by Wife: Sandy Jansen, Waupaca; daughters: Teri (Gary) Schultz, Iola; Vicki (Ralph) Mack, Iola; Shelley (Dell) Mork, Scandinavia; Julie (Rich) Rasmussen, Waupaca; grandchildren: Melisa (Brian) Hansen; Holly and Megan Schultz; Jamie (Brandon) Schultz; Samantha and Mariah Mork; Brynn and Bryce Rasmussen; great-grandchildren: Saree and Kiley Hansen; Lilyann and Ryan Schultz; Hayley, Tanner and Jayden Schultz; brother, Gary (Wendy) Jansen, Appleton; sisters: Janice Sauer, Appleton; Marilyn (Roger) Melum, Iola; Darlene (Butch) Merek, Appleton; Carol (Denis) Walter, Iola; sister-in-law, Gloria Jansen, Appleton; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Ken) Keddell, Appleton; brother-in-law: Richard Deltour, Appleton. Ron is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
    Ron was preceded in death by Larry Jansen and sister, Barbara Loose.
    Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 21st, with Reverend Nate Liedtke officiating. Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday 10-11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
