    On August 12, 1950, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Brugger. She preceded him in death November 8, 2016. In 1960, the couple founded Don's Quality Market in Seymour.

    Donald was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour. He was also a proud member of the Seymour American Legion and a long-time member of the Seymour Lions Club. He enjoyed every minute with his family. He was a loving father and grandfather, who enjoyed time spent at the cottage on Loon Lake, and winters in Florida.

    Donald is survived by his children: Julie Reed, Seymour; Randy (Ann) Reed, Seymour; Peggy (Frank) Polkowski, Shawano; Connie (Mark) Reinhardt, Appleton; Paul Reed, Shawano; seven grandchildren: Mike (Ashley), Greg (Stephanie), Bob (Aimee), Chris, John (Sarah), Tom (Robin), Elizabeth; six great-grandchildren: Matthew, Blake, Eliana, Lucy, Evan, William, Bennett, and an expected great-grandson; brother, Patrick Reed, Green Bay; brother-in-law: Jim Kralovetz; sister-in-law: Delores Reed; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

    Preceded in death by brothers, sisters, and in-laws.

    Friends may call at St. John Catholic Church, Seymour on Monday, April 17, 2017, from 9:00 am until the funeral mass at 11:30 am with Father Brian Belongia and Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to Meadow Wood Assisted Living.

    Dorothy was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour. She was a member of the Seymour Legion Auxiliary, and Seymour Women's Club. Dorothy and her husband formed the Dinner Dance Club. She enjoyed every minute with her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed time spent at the cottage on Loon Lake, winters in Florida, her angel collection and painting.

    Dorothy is survived by her husband Donald; children: Julie Reed, Seymour; Randy (Ann) Reed, Seymour; Peggy (Frank) Polkowski, Shawano; Connie (Mark) Reinhardt, Appleton; Paul Reed, Shawano; seven grandchildren: Mike (Ashley), Greg (Stephanie), Bob (Aimee), Chris, John (Sarah), Tom (Robin), Elizabeth; six great-grandchildren: Matthew, Blake, Eliana, Lucy, William and Bennett; one sister, Mickey (Don) Hartleben, Bear Creek; many nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. with the Women's Auxiliary at 4 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Father Bob Kabat officiating.     Reed, Lloyd E.
    Lloyd E. Reed, 82, Allouez, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 16, 2009, at a local hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 16, 1926 in Seymour, Wis., son of the late Joseph and Sarah (Mullen) Reed. Lloyd graduated from Seymour High School in 1944 and served his country in the US Army during the occupation after World War II in the Philippines and Japan. Lloyd married Joyce Duquaine on Jan. 29, 1949, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and celebrated 60 wonderful years on Valentine's Day with their loving family. He worked for FMC from 1952 until 1986 as a service engineer, traveling in the US, Canada and Mexico. He was an avid Packer fan; a season ticket holder since 1957. He also loved woodworking, making beautiful furniture and toys for his children and grandchildren. He had a love for nature — including bird-watching, boating and fishing. Dearest to him was his family, whom he loved to spend time with. Lloyd had a gentle spirit and great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
    Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Joyce; eight children: Stephanie (Mark) Kollath, Green Bay; Lynn (Dan) Shafel, Madison; Michael (Gail) Reed, Green Bay; Laurie (Ron) Ropson, Green Bay; Andy (Cindy) Reed, Eau Claire; Peter (Lisa) Reed, Plainfield, Ill.; Shawn (Molly) Reed, Prattville, Ala.; Maureen (Steve) Sellin, Green Bay; eleven grandchildren: Kristin and Tim Shafel; Mick, Caitlyn and Bridget Reed; Chris and Bethany Brodhagen; Holly and Melanie Reed; Connor and Sarah Reed; step-grandchildren: Aaron and Sarah Ropson; step-great grandchildren: Trystan, Cole and Kaylan; three siblings: Don (Dorothy) Reed, Seymour; Patrick (Donna) Reed, Green Bay; Joan (Jim) Kralovetz, Crivitz; sisters- and brothers-in-law: Gladys Reed, Wauwatosa; Delores Gillis, Kaukauna; Pearl Brunner, Green Bay; Nancy (Ed) Nelson, Sobieski; Laverne Duquaine, Green Bay; Clyde Pasterski, Green Bay; Jack Faccio, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.

    On January 29, 1949, Joyce was united in marriage to Lloyd Reed, with whom she enjoyed a happy and fulfilling 60-year marriage. They raised a family of eight children, teaching them to value above all faith, family and education. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Nothing made her happier than when her children and their families all came together for the holidays and Packer games. Her eleven grandchildren learned family recipes from her and had so much fun together at Gramma and Grampa's house. In addition to raising eight children, she was employed at St. Vincent Hospital for over thirty years, enjoying the work and her family of co-workers. She had a special place in her heart for her siblings, in-laws, and her many nieces and nephews.

  • Note: Joan Kralovetz, age 80, Twin Bridge, Crivitz, Wisconsin Passed away on Thursday March 13, 2014 at Unity Hospice. The former Joan Reed was born February 3rd 1934 in Seymour Wisconsin to the late Joseph and Sara (Mullen) Reed. Joan attended Seymour High School and graduated in 1952. She married James Kralovetz on May 5, 1953. After residing in Appleton and Seymour Wisconsin for a brief period Joan moved with her husband Jim to Green Bay where they lived for almost 20 years, and raised their five children. She was employed at St. Vincent Hospital maternity unit for several years before graduating in 1969 from NWTC as an LPN and worked at Brown County Health Center. In 1972 Joan and her husband Jim moved to Twin Bridge Wisconsin, where they owned and operated Hilltop Resort for 25 years. They still own and operate Hilltop Homestead Mobile Home Park. Joan loved spending time with her family especially Christmas gatherings where her house would be filled with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with Jim to many places around the world including to her ancestral homestead in Ireland. She loved the outdoors taking many fishing trips to Canada and camping trips with everyone. Joan had quite the "green thumb" and had created beautiful flower and plentiful vegetable gardens. She was an avid Packer fan who went to their games for many years. Surviving is her husband Jim, two daughters, Kay (Bruce) Breecher, Becky (Gordon) Schmitt, three sons, Russ (Mary) Kralovetz, Keith (Lori Ranallo) Kralovetz, and Jon (Mary Jewel) Kralovetz, Thirteen grandchildren (BJ, Bill, Jill, Josh, Jennifer, Jessica, Jim, Jeremy, Jason, Bryan, Eric, Ben, and Emily) and twelve great grandchildren (Lucy, Olivia, Ava, Karlie, Eli, Serenity, Summer, Trenton, Anthony, Dominic, Leila, and Conner). Also surviving is two brothers, Patrick Reed, Donald (Dorothy) Reed and one sister-in-law Delores Reed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Sara Reed, four brothers, and three sister-in-laws, Eugene (Kathleen) Reed, Thomas (Gladys) Reed, Gerald Reed, Lloyd (Joyce) Reed, and three sisters and brother-in-laws, Ellen (Herb) Wendt, Florence (Gus) Laske, Rosalie (Denny) Huan, and a sister-in-law Donna Reed. She was born on March 31, 1914, in the town of Shiocton, daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah (Mullen) Reed. On Nov. 24, 1936, she was united in marriage to Herbert H. Wendt at St. John's Catholic Church, Seymour. She worked as a school teacher, like her mother and grandfather, but was best known as the co- owner of the Seymour A&W Restaurant. She gained great satisfaction as a volunteer at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, where she received the 'Volunteer of the Year Award' in 2003. Her greatest joy was caring for and visiting with her entire family. She was a living example of grace, beauty and charm.
    She is survived by three sons, Vernon (Kathy), Great Falls, Mont.; Dan (Pat), Shorewood, Wis.; Tim (Karen), East Tonka Bay, Minn.; two daughters, Judy (George) Pokorny, Holland, Mich.; Colleen Gallob, West Bend, Wis.; 27 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and three great-great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Don (Dorothy) Reed, Seymour; Lloyd (Joyce) Reed and Pat (Donna) Reed, both of Green Bay; two sisters, Rosalie Huhn, Appleton; and Joan (Jim) Kralovetz, Crivitz; one brother-in-law, Gilbert (Elna) Wendt, and three sisters-in-law, Lauretta Phillips, Torrance, Calif.; Gladys Reed, Milwaukee; Delores (Earl) Gillis, Freedom; and many special nieces and nephews.
