    A native of Inman, SC, she was a daughter of the late Otto and Flora Loevenich. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leo C. Milhaupt, who died in 2005.

    She and her husband, Leo, owned and operated Gateway Florists and Biltmore Florists for 28 years. She was a member of the Basilica of St. Lawrence, D.M.

    A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Very Rev. Fr. Wilbur N. Thomas, V.F. at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Basilica of St. Lawrence, D.M. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.

  • Note: Judy J. Welter, age 50, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on March 31, 1961 in Appleton; daughter of John and Alice (Timm) Myhill. On December 12, 1981, she was married to Robert Welter in Appleton. Judy enjoyed trips to the casino, listening to music, but most of all, spending time with her family and taking care of her son, Sam. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Bob Welter, Kaukauna; children, Rebecca (Jorge) Perez Nunez, Appleton, Brenda (Lyndon) Smith, Kaukauna, Andrew Welter, Kaukauna and Sam Welter, Kaukauna; mother, Alice Myhill, Kimberly; brother, Roger Myhill; sisters, Susan (Gordon) Munger, Mary (David Lambie) Menting and Patty (Vernon) Riedle; 12 grandchildren with one on the way and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Judy was preceded in death by her father, John Myhill. A funeral service for Judy will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park's Chapel, 3131 N. Richmond St., Appleton with Pastor Levi Willms officiating. Family and friends may visit at Highland on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial in the cemetery will follow the service. A memorial fund is being established in her name.

    Judy's family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Mahindra and the ICU nurses at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their compassionate care.

  • Note: Robert "Bob" F. Richlen, Jr., 64, passed away, suddenly, from natural causes on March 4, 2012, at his home in Lehigh Acres, FL. Bob was born January 26, 1948 in Cook County, Ill. He was the son of Grace Johanna (Dressler) Kadzki and Robert Richlen, Sr.. Bob was a 1966 graduate of Kimberly High School and soon enlisted in the U.S. Navy. SA Richlen served two years at U.S. Naval Station-Great Lakes. He played both trumpet and baritone in the Navy band. Bob experienced various employment opportunities throughout his life. As a young man, he helped manage the popular, family business at Hillcrest Lodge in Townsend, WI. "Breaker, Breaker Good Buddy," the "Big Bad Wolf" saw the countryside as an over-the-road trucker before becoming a community servant for Wabeno, WI as Town Marshall. He also worked in landscaping and irrigation for about 25 years. Some times referred to as the "Grill Master," Bob enjoyed several hobbies. He absolutely loved camping. It didn't matter if the campsite was in a state park or the back yard. Bass fishing was another of Bob's favorite pastimes. As a resident of Florida for 29 years, Bob could enjoy these hobbies all year long. Other favorite activities included avid reader of science fiction novels, league bowling, and computer use. He had a special fondness for his beloved dogs especially Black Jack.

    Bob is survived by his wife of 35 yrs, Carolann, 2 sisters: Sharon Richlen (Flowers) and Molly Stoffregen, 1 brother, Frank, 4 children: Joseph (Nancy), Wil-Michael (Rhonda), Christina Richlen (Jeremy Neal), and Rikki Richlen. 4 step-daughters: Carmen Scholl (Henry White), Connie Henkel (Blaine), Dawn Hansen (Todd), Carie Briggs (Jeff), and many grand and great-grand children.

    Bob was preceded in death by both parents and a daughter, Dawny Marie Richlen.

    A small memorial service and internment in the Forest Home Cemetery in Townsend is planned for the summer of 2013.

  • Note: Florence Y. Verhoven passed into the loving arms of her Savior October 2, 2016. She was born April 4, 1924 to the late William and Edna Smith Fedde in Hayward, WI. She grew up in Niagara, WI and later moved to Neenah/Menasha where she worked for Kimberly Clark in the lab. While there, she met her future husband, Roy G. Verhoven.

    During most of her married life, Florence was a homemaker. Her faith was a very important part of her daily life. Much of her free time was spent doing various sewing projects for herself, family and friends. Some of her favorite hours were spent searching the fabric stores for that special bargain or treasure.

    After her husband's retirement, they moved to Fairfield Bay, AR where they enjoyed hosting visits from family and friends. Some time after Roy's death, she was finally persuaded to move back to Wisconsin, where she lived with her daughter Yvonne's family.

    Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her sister, Eleanor; three sisters-in-law; and five brothers-in-law. She is survived by her sister, Rose Johnson; daughters: Lora Kitz and Yvonne Woodrow; and grandchildren: Matthew (Katie) Woodrow; Jessica (Jacob) Schmalz; Alissa (Ben) Sanford; and Kyra (fiancé Tony Wilson) Kitz. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Aubrey and Brinley Woodrow; and Peyton, Berkley, and Colt Sanford; and many nieces and nephews.

    The funeral service for Florence will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday. October 5, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, 108 W. Doty Ave., Neenah, with Rev. Tony Fuller officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

    Memorials may be sent to the First United Methodist Church or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1750 Midway Rd., Menasha.

    Florence's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Heartwood Homes who cared for her so lovingly during the last two months of her life. Special thanks to the Theda Care at Home Hospice nurses and most especially to Amber and Paige who spend untold hours tending to Florence's physical and emotional comfort and well-being. You have a special place in our hearts!

    Goetsch, Michael G.
    Michael G. Goetsch, age 49, of Shawano, passed away Monday, August 18, 2008, at his home. Born on April 12, 1959, in Appleton, he was the son of Magdalene (Hartl) Van Ryzin and the late Gordon Goetsch. Michael had an extensive history of serving with the United States Special Forces-Green Berets. At the age of 18, he completed the Airborne Course at Fort Benning and later worked with telecommunications at Fort Bragg. He then worked with the Special Warfare Command of Police in Korea. At 20, he received Jungle Warfare Training at Fort Sherman-Canal Zone. A few years later, Michael became the Primary Noncommissioned Officer at Camp Bullis, TX. More recently, Michael worked at Meca Technology in Green Bay. On August 17, 2007, he was united in marriage to Dena Otto in New Franken. Michael was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being in the outdoors and enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.
    Michael is survived by his wife, Dena; children: Andrew (fiancee, Amanda Lyons) Tupper of Shawano, Chadwick Goetsch of Appleton, Jonathon Goetsch of Shawano, Mikey Goetsch of Shawano; grandchildren: Austin Tupper, Cameron Goetsch; his mother, Magdalene Van Ryzin of Appleton; three sisters: Kathy Pawlowski of Appleton, Patricia (Wayne) Martin of Appleton, Christine Tuchscherer of Menasha; and his former wife, Claudette Goetsch.
    Michael was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Goetsch; and his step-father, Phylan Van Ryzin.
    Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2008, at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Jeff Best officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Shawano American Legion Post #117 at the funeral home following the service. Family and friends may call to the funeral home on Thursday after 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
