    Steve L. Wulterkens, Little Chute, age 50, died on Monday, June 30, 2008, after a short illness. Steve was born on May 17, 1958, son of the late Thomas and Edwina (Balzerette) Wulterkens. Steve was a graduate of Kaukauna High School, Class of 1977. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his pets, Snickers, Wynne, and Harley.
    Steve is survived by his sons: Greg (Aimee), Little Chute; Eric (Traci Koepsel), Appleton; Steve's special friend, Loretta Sprague, Appleton; his brothers: Mike Wulterkens, Kaukauna; David (Amy Cazzola) Fritz, Dan, and Steven Fritz, and a sister, Susan (Joseph) Zwiers, all of Kaukauna; aunts and uncles, Audrey (Mel) DeBroux,, Karen Schommer, Cathy (Bill) Carnot, all of Kaukauna; Cindy (Fred) Zwaniarkiewicz, Baraboo; two half brothers: George and Gary Puffer, Louisiana , and many nieces and nephews.
    Steve was preceded in death by his "mother," Mary Fritz- Wulterkens-Harvey.
    A celebration of Steve's life will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at the FARGO FUNERAL HOME, Kaukauna. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.

    Robert H. DeGroot, 92, De Pere, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008, at a local nursing home. He was born April 22, 1916, in Green Bay, son of the late Martin and Elsie (Raleigh) DeGroot. He married Genevieve DeMuth, Aug. 13, 1938, and served his country in the United States Army during World War II. She preceded him in death on March 8, 1968. He worked as a stationary engineer in the boiler rooms for Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 20 years. Robert also farmed in the Glenmore area until retirement. After he retired from farming, Robert enjoyed woodworking, especially making clocks, and he liked to fish. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, De Pere.
    Survivors include his four children, Joseph (Carol) DeGroot, Two Rivers; Roger (Beverly) DeGroot, Menominee, Mich.; Jerry DeGroot, Green Bay; and Eugene (Jean) DeGroot, De Pere; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; special friend of 30 years, Mayme Bartman, De Pere; two step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a son, Allen; brother, Bernard (Louise); half-sister, Dorothy (Herman) Urbanc LeMere; and daughter-in-law, Karla.
    Family and friends may call Wednesday, July 2, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with Fr. David Duffeck officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Glenmore. He was born on June 20, 1948 in Manitowoc, son of the late Edward and Marie (Derkes) Rosner. He married Kathryn Hinkens on October 22, 1977 in Waukesha. Richie loved Brillion and the people here. He attended many sporting events in Brillion and loved to hunt. He worked at the Brillion Iron Works for 43 years until his retirement. He loved his classic 1968 Chevelle and was a proud member of the Old Chevy Club and well as a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Brillion. Survivors include his children, Amy (Patrick) Klimek of Green Bay, Matt (Michele) Rosner of Slinger, 4 grandchildren, a sister Barbara (Kenneth) Pautz of Reedsville, a brother Jerome (Mary) Rosner of Brillion, a sister-in-law LuAnn Weihert of Watertown and 2 brothers-in-law William and Robert Hinkens both of Marinette and other relatives and very special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kathy on February 8, 2008 and his in-laws John Hinkens and Mary Ann Hinkens. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 18th at 10:00 a.m. at Peace United Church of Christ in Brillion. The Rev. Kris Borns will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Appleton.
