    Mrs. Knuppel was born Oct. 24, 1946, in Forman, Little River County, Ark., to Willie Wesley and Mary Eula (Jennings) Young. She was an extremely loving and kind person. She was always baking for her friends and family. She had a big heart and was loved by all.
    She was preceded in death by her son William Armijo, her parents, four sisters and five brothers.
    She is survived by her husband, Herman J. Knuppel, of the family home; her son, Efran P. Armijo and wife Debra, of Bullhead City, Ariz.; numerous grandchildren; four stepdaughters, Cheryl Weber, Christine Norris, Carrie Hetzel and Carina Palmar, and their eight children; her brother, Barney Young and his wife, Carrie; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
    Direct cremation will take place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
    Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2008, at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church in La Luz, with Father Bruce Hausfeld, O.F.M.
    A reception will follow at the Knuppel farm in Tularosa.
