    De Groot, Myrtle M. Myrtle M. De Groot, 88, De Pere resident, found peace on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, surrounded by her family and was reunited with her husband, Andrew. She is the daughter of the late Ernest and Myrtle (Barkell) Hamilton, born on July 20, 1919 in Upper Michigan. Myrtle attended Marinette High School; she then received her teaching degree from Marinette Normal School and taught in a one-room school in Athelstane. On July 6, 1942, she married Andrew De Groot in Wausaukee; he preceded her in death on July 1, 1973. She enjoyed playing bingo, any kind of cards especially sheepshead, cribbage and poker. Myrtle especially enjoyed family gatherings and playing the piano. Survivors include her children, Jim (Darlene) De Groot, Green Bay; Len (Marj) De Groot, San Diego; Lee (Lynda) De Groot, De Pere; Kathy De Groot and her life partner, J. Fred Saubert, Kellnersville; Al De Groot and his life partner, Marilyn Ebben, De Pere; Linda (Bob) Borman, De Pere; Barb (Don) Vercauteren, De Pere; 12 grandchildren, Eric (Jodie), Annette, John, Steve (Janet), Scott (Dawn); Missy (Steve), Andy (Nikki), Angela, Jennifer (Nick), Tom, Allison, Emily; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jean Hamilton, Milwaukee; and numerous nieces and nephews. Myrtle was preceded in death by infant children; sisters, Mabel (Rueben) Erdman, Winifred (Andy) Zmugg, Katherine (Erwin) Franks, Marge (Walter) Berth; brothers, Walter (Florence) Hamilton and Don Hamilton. Friends may call from 10 until 11:45 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John XXIII Circle, off Sportsman Drive, Town of Ledgeview. Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon Saturday at the church with Rev. David Duffeck officiating. Interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere is assisting the family.   • Burial: He was buried in Allouez Catholic Cemetery, Green Bay, Brown Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Robert "Bob" Borman, of De Pere, died Monday afternoon August 3, 2015 at a local hospital. The son of the late Howard and Beatrice (De Ruyter) Borman was born in Green Bay on May 6, 1937. He married the love of his life, Linda De Groot in Green Bay on April 18, 1986.

    Bob worked at Nicolet Paper Company for 41 years. Bob had a passion for sports and coaching. He coached football and softball for many years. He enjoyed spending time at the cottage with his family and friends on the lake. Bob had a terrific sense of humor, a heart of gold and was deeply loved by many.

    Survivors include his wife, Linda, one daughter, Jennifer and Nicholas Potts, seven grandchildren, Tyler, Christopher, Zachary, Molly, Ryan, Madisyn, Leah, one brother, Dave (Mary) Borman, in addition to Linda's family, Jim (Darlene) , Len (Marj), Lee (Lynda), Kathy (Fred), Al (Marilyn), Barb (Don), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Bob was preceded in death by parents, his daughters, Barb and Michelle, son-in-law, Pete Lingl, aunts and uncles.

    Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday August 6, 2015. Visitation will continue after 9:00 am on Friday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Green Bay, until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday at the church with Father Mark Vander Steeg, officiating. Entombment in Allouez Mausoleum. He was born June 7, 1938 in Antigo, Wisconsin to Martena VerHaagh and Milton A. Loper. Bill was an electronic technician and had been a Deming resident for 16 years coming from Wisconsin. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Bill attended the Catholic Church and was a former member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Loper of the home; daughter, Karen Solomon and husband, Chris of Bakersfield, CA; 4 sisters, Coralie Aldert and husband Harry of Staunton, Virginia, Sadie Jessamine of Silver City, Mary Grunow of Seadrift, TX; Diane Loper of Wisconsin; 2 grandchildren, Kayla & Kylie Solomon; special friends, Laurie Reissmann, Paul Reichart, Henry Dowling and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Martena Loper, brother, Joe Loper and numerous aunts, uncles and nieces. Entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels of Deming.
