    rew up in Green Bay, and moved to Madison in 1936. She was the daughter of Irving and Alice S
    auvey, who preceded her in death. She and her husband were founding members of Our Lady Quee
    n of Peace Parish. She was active in the parish school during her children's years there. Sh
    e also was a member of the Metropolitan Women's Club, the West Side Businessmen's Auxiliary
    , and was a volunteer at St. Marys Hospital. She was employed by First National Bank of Madis
    on for about 10 years. MaryRose enjoyed tennis in her youth, and reading and bridge were life
    long interests. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Vincent Vanderheiden; by three ch
    ildren, Karen (Jerome) Wallander of Evansville, Ind., RaeAnn (John) Duff of Weston, Mass., an
    d Mark Vanderheiden of New York City; a brother, Raymond (Sandy) of Green Bay; three sisters
    , Dorothy Byrnes of Waukesha, Lucille Roix of Green Bay, and Rita Wery of DePere; and a siste
    r-in-law, Shirley Sauvey of Florida. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Gregg (Cindy
    ) Wallander, Lynne (Ian) Radomski, Lesley (Thomas) Burkard, Allison Duff and Kevin Duff; an
    d seven great-grandchildren, Jena, Mary, Erin and Sara Wallander, Evan and Lauren Radomski, a
    nd Nolan Burkard. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Donald Sauvey. T
    he family wishes to thank the staffs of St. Marys Hospital 3 SW and 3 NW for their conscienti
    ous care, Waunakee Manor for their interest and care during her brief stay, and finally the D
    on and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center for their attention and compassion to MaryRose an
    d her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OUR QUEEN OF PEACE CHURCH, 405 S. Ow
    en Drive, Madison, on Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at 11 a.m. Monsignor Kenneth Fiedler will off
    iciate, with entombment at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be in the gathering area o
    f the church from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be mad
    e to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, or a ch
    arity of one's choice.
