  • Birth: Martin Joseph VandenWyngaard was born on June 2, 1972.
  • Death: He died on October 9, 2012, at age 40.
  • Note: Marty J. Vanden Wyngaard, Kaukauna, age 40, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 following a short battle with lung cancer. He was born June 2, 1972, son of June Vanden Wyngaard. Marty was disabled but had worked at Valley Packaging, Kaukauna Coffee House and Walmart. He also worked side jobs cutting lawn and helping his brother, Dan work on houses. Marty was always cracking jokes and making people laugh. He could always be seen riding his bike all over town.

    Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Jackie (Herb) Loose and their children, Amanda, Jordan, Janelle, and Joselyn; a brother, Danny Vanden Wyngaard, all of Kaukauna; his godfather, Marty Lamers, Tippler, WI; his godmother, Marlene (Hank) Vanenken Voort, Kaukauna; and numerous cousins. Marty is further survived by his best buddy "Cinnamon".

    He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Martin and Odelia (Vande Hey) Lamers.

    Funeral Services for Marty will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna. Friends may call on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

  • Note: Lucille M. Schroeder, nee Merkel, age 97, passed away at St. Paul Villa in Kaukauna on Sunday, April 15, 2012. She was born on November 3, 1914 in the Town of Greenville, the daughter of the late Joseph and Emilie (Bolte) Merkel. On February 23, 1935 she married Norbert Schroeder. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1984. Lucille farmed with Norbert for 34 years in the Town of Freedom and then moved to Appleton. She enjoyed playing cards, listening to Brewers games, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    Lucille is survived by three children: Lois Winters of Alamo, TX, Doris (Roger) Van Beek of Kaukauna, and William (Darlene) Schroeder of Freedom; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; sister, Eleanor Buss of Appleton; nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert; two grandsons: Roland Van Beek and David Schroeder; son-in-law, William Winters; sisters: Marcella Schuh and Evelyn Muenster; 13 brothers-in-law; and nine sisters-in-law.

    The funeral service will be at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at ST. LUKE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 705 Greenfield St., Little Chute with Rev. Ronald Szep officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.     Haessly, Carol
    Carol Haessly, 80, formerly of Kaukauna, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Franciscan Care Center after a long illness. She was born March 5, 1927, to the late Herbert and Marie (Rieth) Haessly in Kaukauna, Wis. Carol worked as an RN at the Medical Arts Clinic in Appleton, and later for Affinity Health System until her retirement in 1992. She was an active and longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Kaukauna Community Health Associates. Carol enjoyed golfing, bowling and the adventures of traveling throughout the world as well as a good game of cards. Many close friends and family will miss her.

    She is survived by her brother, Paul Haessly; her sister, Joan Alibrando; two nephews, Patrick (special friend, Cheryl Roberts) Alibrando and Thomas (Julie) Alibrando.

    She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Joseph Alibrando.

    Carol's Mass of Christian Burial will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Marty Fox officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday at the church from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Carol's name or directed to a charity of your choice. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.

    Paul Haessly, age 75, of Kaukauna, passed away on Wednesday morning, December 30, 2009, at Cherry Meadows Hospice. Paul was born in Kaukauna on March 29, 1934, son of the late Herbert and Marie (Rieth) Haessly. He was a graduate of the Kaukauna High School and served in the United States Army for two years. He will be remembered by all for his many years of employment in the Parts Department at Gustman's in Kaukauna. He enjoyed being outdoors and caring for his home and yard.

    Paul is survived by a sister: Joan Alibrando of Kaukauna; and two nephews: Patrick Alibrando of Darboy and Thomas (Julie) Alibrando of Reedsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister Carol Haessly.

    The funeral liturgy for Paul will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2010, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the liturgy. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Paul's name.

  • Note: Oan Alibrando, 87, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 after a short stay at St. Paul Home. Joan was born on April 27, 1929 to Herbert and Marie (Rieth) Haessly. She was united in marriage to Joseph Alibrando on January 19, 1952. Joan enjoyed knitting and made many intricate baby booties and doll clothes. She was an active blood donor and donated many gallons over the years. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her close friends. Their coffee time, birthday celebrations and many outings will always hold special memories.

    Joan is survived by her son Thomas (Julie) Alibrando, other relatives and friends.

    Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe, a son Pat, a sister Carol and a brother Paul.

    The funeral liturgy for Joan will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 3:00 PM at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating.
