    Eva graduated from East De Pere High School in 1941 and worked at the De Pere Phone Office for several years. She also worked as a nurses assistant at St. Vincent Hospital for 25 yrs. Later in life she was a crossing guard for the De Pere Public School District.

    Eva married Robert (Bob) French at the First United Presbyterian Church, De Pere, on January 1, 1945. She was a longest living member of the church and was very active through the years. She lived in De Pere her entire life.

    Eva was active in the De Pere Historical Society and the De Pere Library. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge and served as Grand Nobel. She remained a member until her death.

    Survivors include her 7 children and step daughter, Doug & Sue French, De Pere, Pam (French) & Tom Schumacher, Green Bay, Rick French, De Pere, Steve & Guadelupe French, Green Bay, Terry & Jean French, De Pere, Michele French, Hollywood, Fl., Kim (French) & Chet Olson, Oneida & Marjorie (French) Lundquist, Stevens Point; 19 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; nephews, nieces and other relatives.

    She was preceded in death by her husband Bob; her parents; brothers, Harold, Clayton & Adrian; sister, Alice (Martens) Pelegrin; step-daughter Nancy Olson; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law.

    Funeral services will be held for Eva at the First United Presbyterian Church, De Pere, 605 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Tuesday, January 28 at 5:00pm with the Reverend Luke Farwell officiating. Friends may call at the church from 2:00pm until the time of services. Preceding the funeral service there will be a Rebekah service beginning at 4:30pm.     Eileen and Al had seven children: Linda, who passed away at birth; Judy (Lynn) Baumann; Larry (Bobbie) Longlais; Jerry (Mary) Longlais; Douglas (Mary Ann) Longlais; Jeff (Tammy) Longlais; Sue (Jeff) Schneider; grandchildren: Richard (Shannon), Andrew, Christopher (Heather), Amber (Chad), Brett, Adam (Jenny), Katie (Jesse), Mary (Steve), Andrea (Mark), Jami, Michael, Sandra, Jesse, Dawn, Nicole (Pat), Jared, Nicholas, Danielle; 20 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; special friend, Kathy Pelletier.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Al on October 28, 1999, and a daughter, Linda.

    Family and friends may visit at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan Ave, De Pere, on Saturday, September 2, from 9:00am until 10:45am. A Mass of Christian Burial for Eileen will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Binu Varghese, O.Praem, officiating. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere. She was born on March 24, 1940, the first of seven children to the late Joseph and Dorothea (Martens) Van Bogart in De Pere. She was united in marriage to Roger Boersma at St. Mary Catholic Church in De Pere on Dec. 27, 1958.

    Mary Ann was active over the years as a hockey mom, Redbird fan for her children and grandchildren's sports, Cub Scout and Brownie Leader, St. Vincent DePaul volunteer, confirmation teacher at St. Mary Catholic Church, Eucharistic Minister for St. Vincent Hospital and St. Mary Church.

    Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 52 years, Roger; children, Peggy, Pam, Peter, Patrick and wife, Cathy Boersma; daughter-in-law, Valerie Boersma; grandchildren, Tyler, Steven, Angela and Timothy Stoltz, Michael (Jenny) Rogers, Elizabeth Rogers, Anna Przybelski, Kaleb Boersma, and Gregg Pianosi; great-grandchildren, Lucy Rogers and Nathaniel Pianosi; her siblings, Joan Quigley, Bob (Wanda), Norbert (Shirley), John, James "Clem" (Pam) Van Bogart; brothers-in-law, Jim Ver Haagh, Rich (Judy) Boersma; many nieces, nephews and their families, and her treasured book club and dream club friends.

    She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Boersma and an infant son; grandson, Zacherie; parents; sister, Marge Ver Haagh; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bud and Lucy Boersma.

    Family and friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a parish wake service, at 7:30 p.m. with Father James Nielson. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John the XXIII Circle, off Sportsman Drive, Town of Ledgeview. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Online condolences may be expressed to Mary Ann's family at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
