  • Note: Marilyn "Babe" Pansier, 87, Green Bay formerly of De Pere, passed away on September 16, 2015. On September 19, 1927 she was born in the Town of Rockland to the late James and Anna (Wicker) Klika.

    She married Ervin Pansier in 1947 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Glenmore, he preceded her in death in 1955. For many years she was a cook at various restaurants including the Day's Inn, Fireside and Bay Bowl. She was a longtime member of St. Willebrord Catholic Church.

    Marilyn is survived by her children, Dale Pansier and Bonnie Dittmer; grandchildren, Stacy (Jeff) Budzban, Kristie Mackey, Chad (Nikki) Pansier, John (Cassidy) Dittmer, Ilea (Curt) Cornelius; great-grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Brian, Josh, Deidra, Natalie, Ben, Kendyl and Garrett; great-great-grandchildren, Dante and Zander; her special friend, Omer Meeuwsen.

    She is preceded in death by her husband, Ervin; son-in-law, Eric Dittmer; one sister, Dorothy Aerts; two brothers, Norbert and Vernon Klika.

    Family and friends may visit at St. Willebrord Catholic Church, 209 S. Adams St., Green Bay, on Monday, September 21, 2015 from 9am to 10:15am. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Marilyn at 10:30am at the church with Rev. Andrew Cribben, O.Praem officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in her name at St. Willebrord Catholic Church. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. The daughter of the late William and Lucy (VanVonderen) Gossen was born on March 5, 1925 in the Town of Rockland. On October 7, 1944, Pearl married Walter Pansier at St. Mary Catholic Church in De Pere. Pearl was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she helped to serve many funeral dinners. After retiring from farming, Pearl worked at Fabry Glove Co. and then at the De Pere High School for 16 years. She enjoyed bowling, putting puzzles together and spending time with her family.

    Survivors include her children; Darrell (Ellie) Pansier, Bonnie Calaway, Lois Peters. 10 grandchildren: Craig Pansier, Vicky (Andy) Tenor, Todd Pansier, Randy Genz, Mike Genz, Steve (Stormee) Genz, Joe (Tina) Genz, Brenda Synol, Doug (Renae) Peters, Sherry (Noah) Neal.

    Great-grandchildren; Mike and Nickolas Tenor, Felicia Genz, Isiah Genz, Rayne and Skyler Genz, Keyyanna, Alex, Jade and Crystal Synol, Kierstin, Chairity and Harline Genz, Amber Neal; great-great-grandchild, Avah Synol; step-great-grandchildren, Samantha, Justina, Anthony and Michaela Socha, and step great-great grandchild Gracilynn Socha.

    De Pere - Ray Pansier, 99 passed away peacefully surrounded by his seven children on Thursday, February 8, 2018. He was born in the town of De Pere. He married the love of his life, Helen Reedy on May 25th, 1944. They enjoyed Polka Dancing with their friends. He started his career farming and retired from the De Pere School District after 23 years. After retirement he pursued his favorite hobby of woodworking making many keepsakes for his family.Ray lived his life in such a way that not only was he the most amazing man in the eyes of his family, and everyone who knew him. Through out his life he had a strong faith in God which he passed down to his family.His smile, humbleness and ability to bring happiness onto others will never be forgotten. His favorite saying was "I love you 1000 times".

  • Note: Helen G. Pansier, 89, De Pere, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012, on the 68th Wedding Anniversary with her loving husband, Raymond Pansier. She was born in Maribel on June 5, 1922 to the late Dennis and Nora (O'Neil) Reedy. Raymond and Helen were married in 1944. They raised their seven children in De Pere. Helen worked at Seroogy's Candies and the Green Bay Press Gazette. In the past, her and Ray enjoyed dancing and her greatest love was the time spent with her family.

Her mother, Henrietta, was the granddaughter of Theodore Coenen who came with the first migration of Dutch to Brown County in 1848.

    The fifth of seven children, Frances was raised on the family farm, which continues to be operated by her nephews.

    Frances graduated from De Pere High School in 1934 having received several awards for her secretarial courses. In her working career she was employed by Northeast Co-op, East Side Chevrolet in Milwaukee, and Franken's Drug Store. From 1965 to 1983 she was the secretary for the Social Work Department at the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity. She then retired to a new position at St. Francis Xavier Parish in De Pere working as the parish bookkeeper and secretary, retiring two weeks before her eighty-seventh birthday in 2003. She was a member of the Brown County Historical Society and a charter member of the Our Lady of Charity Guild.

    On June 14, 1947 she married Milton Van Da Huvel, they later divorced.

    Her main focus in life was her children and grandchildren. She strove to support her children in their educational endeavors, at which she was a great success.

    A woman of great character Frances was always interested in world affairs and democracy. She was known for her great smile, wit and sense of humor. In her retirement she enjoyed oil painting with her sister, Sister Evelyn Pansier and a niece. She loved her flower gardens and playing cards with family members. She took her first Harley ride in 1942 and her last 45 mile ride at age 94.

    She is survived by her four children, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: daughter Mary Jane Herber; son Kelly (Trudy) Van Da Huvel, their son Nathan; daughter Jo Anne Aerts, her daughters, Stephanie (Andrew) Schlag, Christina (Christopher) Peeters and daughter Kenzie, Abigail (Gregory) Potts, and son Logan and daughter Miley; Dr. Scott Van Da Huvel and his wife Karen Christen. She is also survived by her brother Raymond Pansier and fourteen nieces including god-daughters Beverly Berken and Kathleen Moenssens and six nephews and their spouses.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Hattie, son-in-law Robert Aerts, her sister Sister Evelyn Pansier, brothers and their spouses Wilfred (Fern), Walter (Pearl), James (Marie), sister-in-law Helen Pansier, and a nephew Wayne Pansier. An infant brother Winifred also preceded her in death.

    Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 4:30pm until a parish prayer service at 7pm to conclude the evening. Visitation will continue on Saturday, February 28 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere, from 10am until 10:45am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am at the church with Rev. Judah Pigon, MF, officiating. Interment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
