    Richard is survived by his wife, Dorothy (VanDeWettering); son, Gary (Patricia) Wicker; daughters, Julie (Bryan) Gilow, Lynn (John) Boyle and Jean (Richard) Wypiszynski; step daughters Mary (Jim) VanderBloomen, Marcie VanDeWettering, Joan VanDeWettering and Patti VanDeWettering; 6 grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild, 8 step great-grandchildren; siblings Caroline Kocken and Catherine Gossen; sister-in-law Alice Wicker and many other relatives and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley (O'Keefe) in 1981; an infant son (Joseph); 2 step-children; 3 brothers; 4 sisters and brothers and sisters in-laws.

    He will be missed for his quick wit and his tender heart. He loved playing cards, cribbage and cheering on the Packers including being a Lambeau Field usher for 45 years.

    Friends may call from 9:00 am until 10:15 am on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Saint Francis Xavier Parish, 220 S Michigan St, De Pere. Following visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.

    Roman J. Griesbach, age 91, of Appleton, passed away at Grand Horizons in Appleton on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. He was born at home in Greenville on September 3, 1922, the eldest son of ten children to the late Alois C. and Sophia T. (Gresl) Griesbach. On June 16, 1949 he married his wife of 60 years, the late Lorraine M. Griesbach (Schwalbach). Roman was a founding member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and set the example of faith in practice for his family. His lifetime highlight was to entertain common folk with the accordion while singing and dancing, for which he earned the Janet Berry Community Service Award. He excelled in producing fine carpentry in many Appleton homes and was proud of his remodeling profession.

    Roman is survived by his son: Daniel (Cynthia) Griesbach of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren: Jacob (Catherine) Griesbach, Mara Deering and Amanda (Jon) Kolman; great-grandchildren: Rowan Deering and Ethan Griesbach; brother Russell (Laurie) Griesbach and sister Joan (Norman) Jantzen.

    The funeral liturgy for Roman will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at ST. BERNADETTE PARISH, 2331 E. Lourdes Drive, Appleton. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am until the time of mass. Fr. Donald Zuleger will be presiding. The burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton.     Lorraine M. (Schwalbach) Griesbach, Appleton, age 79, passed away at Grand Horizons in Appleton on Tuesday, April 27, 2010. She was born in Appleton on May 3, 1930, the daughter of the late George P. and Mabel L. (Vanderwegen) Schwalbach. On June 16, 1949, she married her husband of 60 years, Roman Griesbach. Lorraine was a faithful member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She was blessed with several talents including: playing organ, crocheting and needle work, known as "fancy work" to Lorraine. Even though Lorraine suffered many illnesses throughout her life, she will be remembered for her positive attitude and her strong faith in God.

    Lorraine is survived by her husband, Roman; son, Daniel (Cynthia) Griesbach, Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren: Jacob (Catherine) Griesbach, Mara Deering and Amanda (Jon) Kolman; great-grandchild, Rowan Deering; sisters: Marlene Ebben and Gail (Cletus) Tennessen; nephew, Ronald Ebben; and niece, Krista (Christopher) Krenz.

    The Funeral Mass will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 E. Lourdes Dr., Appleton, with Fr. Donald Zuleger officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. The burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton.
