    Allwardt, Debra J. Debra Jean Allwardt, 52, passed away peacefully in her sleep, when her golden heart stopped beating at 2:55 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2007, following a four month courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and cancer. Debbie also battled Myasthenia Gravis for 38 years and Lupus for the past decade. She was born July 8, 1954, to Otto and LouAnn (Drawenek) Luedtke, in Kaukauna, and was an area resident most of her life. Debra was a graduate of Kaukauna High School and enjoyed doing crafts and gardening.

    She is survived by her husband, Gary M. Allwardt, whom she married Aug. 10, 1974, in Kaukauna; her son, Jason G. Allwardt, Appleton; her daughter, Leah Ann (Brian) Hanson, Menasha; three grandchildren, Daemon Allwardt, Otis and Colton Hanson; her mother and stepfather, LouAnn (Jerry) Otte, Deming, N.M.; a brother, Todd (Lois) Luedtke and their children, Nathan (Melissa), Brandon and Andrew, Little Chute; a sister, Victoria (Russell) Schmidt and their children, Jennifer and Jacqueline, Wabeno; two stepbrothers and a stepsister.

    She was preceded in death by her father, Otto Luedtke and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Meyer and Mr. and Mrs. William Luedtke.

    It was Debra's wishes there be no visitation or funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial funds have been established for:

    Schmidt, Russell


    Russell (Russ) William Schmidt, age 52, of Wabeno, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side at 12:25 a.m. April 13, 2010, following a three years courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Kaukauna, WI, on October 10, 1957, to Giles "Charles" George and Elizabeth "Betty" Jane (De Noble) Schmidt. Russ enjoyed truck driving, being an EMT on Wabeno's Rescue Squad, hunting, fishing, four wheeling and spending time with family and friends. Russ was an awesome husband, father, grandfather and friend, he will be greatly missed by all.

    He is survived by his wife, Victoria "Vickie" Lynn (Luedtke) Schmidt, whom he married on August 19, 1978, in Kaukauna, WI. Daughters: Jennifer Lynn Schmidt (Robert Smith, Jr.) of Wabeno Jacqueline Jean Tallier (Joshua Jameson) of Wabeno, six grandchildren: Jasmine, Jade, Jacob, Trenton, Xavier and Emma Father: Giles Schmidt, Kaukauna, Sisters: Gloria (James) Gore, Fremont, WI, Audrey (Donald) Cunningham, Janesville, WI, Charlotte (Jay) Green, Bellingham, WA, Marla (Mike) VanHeuklon, Appleton, Sharon (John) McFarlin, Harvard, IL, Brother: Kevin Schmidt, Appleton, Best friend: Chuck (Karen) Hall, Menasha, WI, Further survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

    He is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Schmidt; grandparents, Charles & Isabelle LeNoble and William & Ester Schmidt; father-in-law, Otto Luedtke and sister-in-law, Debra Allwardt.

    Honoring Russell's wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of Russell's life will be on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at 12 noon at the Goodman Park.

    BLACK CREEK - Mr. and Mrs. John Kitzinger, route 2, Black Creek, observed their golden wedding anniversary Sunday at a family dinner at the Black Creek Community Hall. A reception was held from 2 to 4 p.m.
    Mr. and Mrs. Kitzinger were married Oct. 20, 1915, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Black Creek. He was engaged in farming. The couple has eight children, Donald, Shawano; Norbert, Kewaunee; Mrs. Anton Kauth and Mrs. Marvin Willenkamp, Appleton; Mrs. Herbert Spaude, Seymour and Mrs. LaVerne Knaak, Mrs. Harold Schwalbach and Bernard, Black Creek. They also have 28 granchildren.

    Formerly of 1818 S. Sanders St., Appleton, age 78, passed away Thursday, February 29, 1996 after a short illness. She was born October 11, 1917 in Black Creek, and had been an Appleton area resident most of her life. Lucille was employed by Scolding Locks Co. for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law; Jeanne and Mark Becker, Menasha; four sons and a daughter-in-law; Joseph, John and Nancy, all of Appleton; Jerry, Green Bay; James, Menasha; a brother, Donald and Margie Kitzinger, Florida; three sisters and a brother-in-law: Helen Spaude, Seymour; Margaret Willenkamp, Appleton; Edna and Harold Schwalbach, Black Creek; six grandchildren: Jason, Dawn, Kevin, Elizabeth and Tony Kauth, Gina Binversie; two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Kitzinger, Kewaunee; Betty (Kitzinger) Klarner, Black Creek; a brother-in-law, LaVerne Knaack, Center Valley. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Irene (Plutz) and John Kitzinger; a sister, Bernice Knaack; two brothers: Norbert and Bernard. The time for the Funeral Mass, visitation and prayer service will be announced in Saturday morning's Post-Crescent. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

  • Note: Post Cresent, Appleton, WI, 14 Jan 1966 JURY DECLARES DRIVER GUILTY - ANTON C. KAUTH, 53, APPEALS CONVICTION OF TIPSY DRIVING A six-member jury Thursday found Anton C. Kauth, 53, 1818 S. Sanders St. guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants. Kauth, arrested by Appleton traffic police Oct. 31, immediately filed notice of appeal. Following the jury verdict, County Judge Gustave J. Keller fined Kauth $200 and costs and ordered his driver's license revoked for one year. Kauth pleaded innocent when he first appeared in Outagamie County Court Branch 2 on Nov. 1. Police said his car struck a barricade and tree at Seymour and Wilkie streets early the morning of Oct. 31. On 28 Feb 1959 Anton was fined $12.95 and charged three points for ignoring a stop sign.
