    Leitzke, Brian K. Brian K. Leitzke, "Bucksnort," Kaukauna, age 36, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at home. He was born July 2, 1970, to Dale and Patricia (Hungerford) Leitzke in Kaukauna. Brian married the former Monica Zeleske in July of 2001. He attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison and was a licensed cheese maker at the Union Star Cheese Factory. Brian was a true outdoorsman, he enjoyed, gun & bow hunting, fishing, and camping. He also had a passion in his profession of cheese making and sports, enjoying baseball, four wheeling and cars. Most of all, he loved his family and was a dedicated father to his children. He will be missed by all who knew him.

    He is survived by his wife, Monica Leitzke, his children: Rylee Leitzke, Amber Leitzke and Jacob Hampton; his mother, Pat (Harry) Hinchcliffe; his father, Dale Leitzke; two sisters: Tricia (Malcolm) Davies and their children, Samuel and Andrew and Amy (Dave) Dillman and their children, Sean, Zack and Harry; a brother, Fred (Doll) Hinchcliffe and their children, Alyssa and Jesse; his grandma, Elaine Hungerford, his mother and father in law, Norman (Barbara) Colson; aunts and uncles: Gail Grissman (Jack Vande Hey), Kay (Clark) Vander Heiden, Paul Hungerford, John (Toni) Hungerford, Lonnie (Linda) Leitzke, Sharon (Chuck) Heuer, Dan (Marilee) Leitzke, Julie (Rick) Hieptas, Terry (Lauri) Leitzke; numerous cousins; his good friend, Dave Newman, and many other friends.

    He was preceded in death by his grandparents Willard and Elizabeth (Seegers) Leitzke, grandfather Fritz VanDyke, and grandfather, Mert Hungerford.

    Brian's memorial service will be 7 p.m. on FRIDAY at the BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received on Friday, at the Funeral Home, from 5 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his name.     Hoersch, Sylvester Sylvester Hoersch, 77, Green Bay, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, in Rochester, Minnesota. Born on December 3, 1929, in Appleton, as the youngest of nine children, he is the son of the late Anton and Delia (Ross) Hoersch. Sy attended schools in Appleton, and later graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a registered professional engineer in Wisconsin. Sy enlisted in the U.S. Army when he was 18 years old and later became a ROTC officer. On September 19, 1959, he was united in marriage to Leona R. Luedtke at St. Patrick Church in Green Bay. Sy worked for 36 years with American Can and James River as an engineer and mill manager. He was an avid golfer, loved fishing on Lake Superior, and watching birds. Sy was a member of Holy Cross Parish in Bay Settlement.

    Sylvester is survived by his loving wife, Lee; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Kim Sorensen, Gordon, WI; one son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Shannon Hoersch, St. Louis, MO; seven grandchildren: Greg (Katlyn) Sorensen, Jake Sorensen, Jessie Sorensen, Courtney Hoersch, Chloe Hoersch, Sophia Hoersch, and Tyler Shields; mother-in-law, Pauline Luedtke.

    He was preceded in death by one daughter, Holly Shields; three sisters: Isabelle Willey, Mary LaViolette, and Stella Collins; four brothers: Edwin, John, Herbert, and Eugene Hoersch.

    Verheyen, Clayton A. Clayton A. Verheyen, 68, Suamico, died peacefully, Thursday, May 3, 2007, at a local hospital following a short battle with lung cancer.

    He was born July 13, 1938, in Green Bay, to John and Caroline (Kerkhoff) Verheyen. Clayton served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958.

    On Feb. 20, 1960, Clayton was united in marriage to Delores Nowak at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Green Bay.

    He was employed for 45 years at the Brown County Arena-ShopKo Hall-Resch Center as the building superintendent until his retirement in 2003.

    Clayton pitched softball in a AAA league in the 1960s and 1970s. He enjoyed woodworking and loved working with his tools in the garage. He built many shelves and cabinets for his children and grandchildren and also built a cottage in Lakewood with his sons. Clayton was always there to help whenever they needed him. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish.

    Survivors include his wife, Delores; three children and their spouses, Kathy and Jerry Derenne, Ken and Rachel Verheyen, Bob and Lisa Verheyen, all of Green Bay; six grandchildren, Mitchell, Karisa, Jeremy, Brittany and Cody Verheyen, Samantha Derenne; four step-grandchildren, Jenny Finendale, Alan Derenne, Mary and Jacob Gillis; his close family friends, Sally Soli, Cindy and Scott Tennant; his brothers and sisters, Evelyn Guerts, Florence Gardipee, Mary (Joe) Kunesh, Harold Verheyen, Nola (Fabian) Rentmeester, Cliff (Joanne) Verheyen, Eileen (Lloyd) Sigl, Juleen Scray, Bernard (Elaine) Verheyen, Cletus Verheyen, Raymond (Betty) Verheyen, Cyril (Mary) Verheyen, Darrell Verheyen and his fiancee, Marjean; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty Verheyen, James Devroy, Dan and Karen Nowak, Judy and Anthony Nowak, Ron and Sherry Nowak, Rick and Mary Ann Nowak; many nieces and nephews.

    She continued her education by attending NWTC where she studied Accounting. Kathy worked at Fourinox where she was the account manager, a position she held for almost 40 years.

    In her free time, Kathy enjoyed reading and watching her Wisconsin sports teams. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

    Kathy is survived by her daughter, Samantha Jerome; grandchildren, Starleigh Kathleen, Canaan Ricky; her mother, Delores Verheyen; brothers, Ken (Rachel) Verheyen and Bob (Lisa) Verheyen; special friends, Katie, Sarah, Kristine, and Russel Platten as well as Ben Meeuwsen and Sally Soli. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her father, Clayton Verheyen.

    Geurts, Evelyn A.
    Evelyn Geurts, Bellevue resident, died peacefully on March 20, 2009. Evelyn was born July 9, 1921 in Hollandtown to John and Caroline (Kerkhoff) Verheyen. She married Bernard Geurts on Nov. 16, 1940, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Green Bay. He preceded her in death in 1968. Together, they raised five children. During her lifetime, Evelyn worked a variety of jobs from 1936 through 1981. She was happiest owning and operating The Flamingo Club and Eve's Inn; Adam's Out Tavern from 1969 to 1981. Evelyn always enjoyed knitting, crocheting and many crafts. She loved playing cards and doing puzzles with her grandchildren, and they loved sharing time with her. Evelyn has 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
    Evelyn is survived by her five children, Donna and Ferdinand Smurawa; Donald and Patricia Geurts; Duane and fiancee Cindi; Dale and Annette (Weissbach) Geurts; and Diane Geurts.
    She is also survived by sister and brothers: Florence Gardipee; Mary (Joe) Kunesh; Harold Verheyen; Nola (Fabian) Rentmeester; Clifford (Joanne) Verheyen; Cyril (Mary Verheyen; Delores Verheyen; Darrell Verheyen and fiancee Marjean; sister-in-law, Betty Verheyen and brother-in-law, James Devroy.
    Preceding Evelyn in death were her husband, Bernard; her parents, John and Caroline; brothers, Elmer, Alvin, John Jr., Clayton, Ray; sisters: Deloris, Judy, Juleen; brothers-in-law, Carl Gardipee, Will Lhost and Bernard Scray; sisters-in-law, Lillian, Irene, Patricia, Ardis and Elaine; father-in-law, Arnold Geurts, mother-in-law, Anne Geurts; and daughter-in-law, Karen (Barrette) Geurts.
    In accordance with Evelyn's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. In the near future, Evelyn's children and grandchildren will gather in a celebration of her life. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is handling cremation of her remains.
