  • Death: She died on December 9, 2011, at age 65.
  • Note: Betty J. (Vissers) Zablocki, 65, Hofa Park, died unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep Friday morning, December 9, 2011. The daughter of Grace (Neuman) and the late Henry Vissers of Oneida was born January 2, 1946, and was a 1964 graduate of Seymour High School. On April 30, 1966, she married Len Zablocki at St. Joseph Church in Oneida. The couple made their home and farmed in Hofa Park.

    Betty especially enjoyed baking for family and friends and, also, at the Hofa Park Tavern. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, Zeke and Frankie. She enjoyed Wednesday night ladies bowling league, gardening and her flowers, and going on trips.

    Betty was survived by her husband, Len; two daughters, Linda (Frank) Stefl, Shawano, Cheryl (David) Wagner, Hofa Park; two grandchildren, Ezekiel Wagner and Frankie Stefl; her mother, Grace Vissers, Seymour; two brothers, James (Violet) Vissers, Oneida, Glen Vissers (special friend, Starr Sackett), Oneida; Len's family, Kenneth (Sue) Zablocki, Hofa Park, Dennis (Ginny) Zablocki, Hofa Park, James (Mary) Zablocki, South Chase, Raymond (Maureen) Zablocki, Black Creek, Carol (Mike) Schultz, Howard, Gary (Carol) Zablocki, Hofa Park; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

    She was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Lilly Stefl, her father, Henry Vissers, and an infant, Robert Vissers.

    Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, from 4-8 p.m. Monday. The Wake Service will take place at 4:30 p.m. Monday. The visitation continues after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stanislaus Church, 1888 Hofa Park Drive, Hofa Park. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M. officiating with burial in the parish cemetery.

  • Birth: Mary J Tappa was born on August 3, 1924 in Lakewood, Oconto Co, Wisconsin.
  • Marriage: She and William Anton VanDalen were married on May 23, 1942.
  • Death: Mary J Tappa died on April 15, 2015, at age 90, in Appleton, Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Mary J. Van Dalen, Appleton, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on August 3, 1924 in Lakewood, WI, daughter of the late Alex and Louise (Reed) Tappa. Mary married William Van Dalen on May 23, 1942; the couple enjoyed 47 years of marriage together prior his death in 1991. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life but occasionally bartended in Stockbridge. She enjoyed playing sheepshead, bowling and her favorite pastime was making soup, she was known for making soup. Mary also enjoyed playing practical jokes on her son-in-law, Marke. She had lots of friends; everyone that knew her loved her.

    She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Mark) Eberhardy of Greenville; her son, Van (Joyce) Van Dalen, Florida; another daughter, Bonnie (Michael) Weiss, Appleton and their children; and three other siblings and their families; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Lisa (Brandon) Barr and their son, Brandon Jr., Christina (Travis) Montoure and their sons, Hunter and Daniel, and numerous others; a sister, Darlene (Donald) Wegner, Milwaukee and their son, Russell (Janet). She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, William; a brother, Alex, 4 sisters: Eleanor (Carl) Carlson, Verna (Harry) Skinner, Evangeline (Harold) Reeder, and Sr. Georgine Tappa.

    Memorial services for Mary will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Farrell officiating.
