  • Note: Connie M. Kelling-Fink, 45, Appleton, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born in Sheboygan, daughter of Rodney and Dorothy (Draeger) Kelling. Connie married Randell Fink on July 16, 1994.

    Connie enjoyed working on crafts, and painting; she was a very talented artist. She also bred and raised Irish Setters, and was a member of the A.K.C.

    Connie is survived by her husband of 17 years, Randy; five children, Calicia (Kevin) Huss, Newport News, Va.; Travis Hipp, Appleton; Kassina (Shane) Regennitter, Neenah; Brandon (Ashley) Hipp, Jacksonville, N.C.; and LaTia Fink, Appleton; three grandchildren, Wyatt, Mason, and Aiden; mother, Dorothy Kelling, Appleton; three sisters, Caroline (Paul) Thacker, Wauconda, Ill.; Julie (Mike) DeBruin, Oshkosh; and Theresa (Mike) Manske, Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Roy (Cindy) Kelling, Rhinelander; close friend, Robert Witte, Appleton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Rodney.

    A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, at the VALLEY FUNERAL HOME with the Rev Mark Pluimer officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 12 p.m. until the hour of service.

    Connie was a very loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, and sister, and will be sorely missed.

    Brehmer, Mildred M. Mildred M. Brehmer, 96, formerly of Peshtigo and Stiles, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2006, at Parkside Care Center, Little Chute. Mildred was born September 1, 1910, in Duck Creek to the late Benjamin and Melinda (Ducette) VanDenBusch. She married Carl Brehmer on October 23, 1929, in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1987.

    Mildred was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Abrams.

    Mildred is survived by four daughters: Ann (Roger) Schmitt, Hilbert; Joyce (Donald) Hopfensperger, Appleton; Carol (Marvin) Smits, Kimberly; Violet (William) Vincent, Kimberly; four sons: Henry (Gerry) Brehmer, Kaukauna; Kenneth (Ruth) Brehmer, Abrams; Roger (Betty) Brehmer, Hilbert; David (Rozanne) Brehmer, Oconto Falls; 34 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

    She is preceded in death a son Wesley Brehmer, a daughter Viola McGovern, a grandson Bob Brehmer, a brother and two sisters.

    The family will receive relatives and friends at the Calvary Lutheran Church, Abrams, from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Alan Klessig officiating. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family.

Ann was born on January 20, 1933 in Abrams, WI, daughter of Carl and Mildred (Vanden Busch) Brehmer. She married Roger Schmitt on September 12, 1953 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton. Together they raised five children. Ann enjoyed gardening, needlepoint and crocheting. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    She is survived by her husband, Roger; four daughters: Sandra (Roman) Giese, Sharon Fredrick, Laura (Randy) Purifoy and Julie (Glen) Schaffer; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Schmitt; ten grandchildren: Chelsea (Jason) Crubaugh, Michelle (Peter) Yurek, Matt (Christa) Giese, Justin Schmitt, Andrew Fredrick, Damarr Purifoy, Lexie Schaffer, Adam Schmitt, Jordan Fredrick, and Bryson Schaffer; four great-grandchildren: Stella and Micah Crubaugh, Liam and Caleigh Yurek. She will also be greatly missed by two brothers: Ken (Ruth) Brehmer and David (Rose) Brehmer; three sisters: Joyce Hopfensperger, Carol (Marv) Smits and Violet (Bill) Vincent; two sisters-in-law: Gerry Brehmer and Betty Brehmer; and a very special friend, Shirley Horn.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Douglas, three brothers: Wesley, Roger, and Henry; a sister, Viola; a son-in-law, Bruce Fredrick, and a brother-in-law, Donald Hopfensperger.

    The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at ST. JOHN CATHOLIC CHURCH, St. John with Fr. Michael Betley officiating.   • Note: Donald R. Hopfensperger, 76 of Appleton died Tuesday November 13, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Appleton, July 1, 1936, son of the late Raymond and Pearl (Filz) Hopfensperger. Donald married Joyce Brehmer on October 20, 1956.

    Donald served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict from 1953 to 1955. He was a truck driver for various companies and later became his own owner/operator, retiring in 1999. Donald was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Appleton. He enjoyed camping, especially in Marion with his family.

    Donald is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce; three daughters, Debora Cornaro, VA, Karen Kraft, Kaukauna, and Lisa (Percy) Lawrence, Appleton; son, Mark (Michelle), Appleton; nine Grandchildren; six Great-Grandchildren; a brother, Steve; sister-in-law, Carol Hopfensperger, Appleton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur, and Raymond; two sisters, Marie, and Pearl; and a nephew, Adam.

    Memorial service will be 11:00 AM on Friday November 16, 2012 at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2220 E College Ave, Appleton with Rev. Martin E. Koeller, and Rev. Timothy Seabaugh co-officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Full military honors will follow his service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.

    Donald's family would like to thank the staffs at Theda Care at Home Hospice, especially Dawn, Amy, and Trish; Martha Siekman Cancer Center; and Theda Clark Medical Center, especially Dr. Phillips for all their care and compassion for Donald and his family.
