Dick had suffered a lengthy illness. Despite his health, he was grateful for so many things and was unwilling to give up. He was born to the late Glenn John and Rose Mary (Eichinger) Huss of Freedom, WI on August 19, 1954. Growing up on a dairy farm, he developed a solid work ethic. He married Barbara Pung of St. Clair, MI on July 14, 1977. Together they had two beautiful children. Dick graduated from Abbott Pennings High School in De Pere, WI in 1972. He attended Marquette University and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dick completed his residency and fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. He and his wife, Barbara, practiced medicine in Muncie, IN for several years before moving to Appleton eight years ago. At that time he began working for Radiology Associates of Appleton. Dick's family was most important to him: his wife, his children, and grandson. He enjoyed his medical career as a radiologist and loved the groups of people with whom he worked. He loved animals, especially his Boston Terriers, Sniffy and Dickens. He enjoyed reading, going to performances at the PAC, and Packer games. He tried to never miss a game no matter where he was. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton, the Radiological Society of North America, and other medical societies.

Dick is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara, children; David (Kelley) Huss and Elizabeth Huss, grandson; Julian Huss, and brother, James (Kathy) Huss. He is further survived by his siblings-in-law; MaryAnn (Ned) Gibbons, Susan Pung, Lawrence (Lillian) Pung, Rita Pung, Theresa (Gary) Clor and John (Daranée) Pung, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Mass for Richard will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, October 20, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 W. Lawrence St, Appleton with the Rev. Jim Leary, OFM Cap. officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00AM until the time of the service.
