    Age 20, passed away early Saturday morning following an automobile accident. He was born June 18, 1950 in Kaukauna. He had been employed as a grinder at the Giddings and Lewis Foundry in Kaukauna. Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Merrier, Kaukauna, five brothers, Robert Massey, Ronald, New London, Roland, Appleton, Le Roy, Kimberly, Dennis, Combined Locks; three sisters, Mrs. Francis (Vivian) VandenBosch, Kaukauna, Mrs. Lawrence (Norma) Bernard, Readsville, Darlene, at home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a,m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna with interment in the parish cemetery. Rev. Charles Fredericks will officiate. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Monday. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Monday evening.

    Age 94, died Monday November 24, 2003 at St. Paul Home. Marie was born September 3, 1909 to the late Lorenz and Anna (Huettl) Mayer in Mankato, MN. She married William Taylor on April 23, 1930 at St. Mary's Catholic Church he preceded her in death on September 25, 1955. Marie married Lyle McGinnis on November 24, 1972 at St. Mary Catholic Church he preceded her in death on May 29, 1994. She was employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper as an executive secretary for 35 years retiring in 1972. Marie was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church Altar Society, the Lady Knights of Columbus A.A.R.P. and the Thilmany Quarter Century Club. She enjoyed music, travel, photography, sewing and was a renowned candy maker. She is survived by two sons William (Branca) Taylor of Littleton CO and their children, Salika Taylor of Littleton CO, Theresa Taylor of Virginia Beach, VA and Tom Taylor of Virginia Beach VA Richard (Marjorie) Taylor of Eureka, CA and their children, John Taylor of Eau Claire and Mark (Michelle) Taylor of Arcata, CA her two daughters, Patricia ( Glen) Lappen of Kaukauna and their children, Tom Lappen of Appleton, Kay (Michel) DeYoung of Appleton, Karen (Dean) Sinclair of Jackson, WI and Tim (Michelle) Lappen of Appleton and Mary (Carl)"Cal" Engerson of Mobile AL and their children, Jenny (Michael) Nall, Dr. Todd (Lisa) Engerson, Eric (Karen) Engerson and Perry Engerson all of Mobile AL 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She will also be missed by nine step children, Ramona Welhouse of Kaukauna, Margaret (David) Hartshorne of Madison, Lyle (Mary) McGinnis of Baileys Harbor, William (Georgiana) McGinnis of Koehler, Thomas (Mary) McGinnis of Kaukauna, Joan (Don) Hue of Sun Prairie, Rosemarie (Martin) Lake of Oconto, Madonna Farina of Upton, MS, and Maryann (Philip) DeBruin of Rome NY 38 step grandchildren and 48 great step grandchildren three sisters in law, Evelyn McGinnis of Little Chute, Leone Heimmermann of Appleton and Harriett Mayer of Madison.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a son Thomas, two brothers, Cornelius Mayer and Bertram (Betty) Mayer, two sisters, Clotilda Mayer and Catherine Mayer a daughter in law, Joyce Taylor, a step son in law, Anthony Welhouse, a step grandchild and two step great grandchildren.

    The Mass of Resurrection will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday November 26 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kaukauna with Fr. Robert Udulutsch officiating. Friends will be received at Church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Marie's name. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family, 766-2099.

    Age 44, died unexpectedly early Saturday. He was born Oct. 18, 1935, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton, and was a lifelong resident of Kaukauna. He was employed at the lab at the Institute of Paper Chemistry for the past 23 years and had been 4th Ward alderman in Kaukauna for the past nine years. Survivors include his wife, Sue (Weigman) Gertz; his parents, Joseph and Kitsy Gertz; three daughters, Amy, Sarah and Cindy; two sisters, Mrs. Don (Jeanne) Gorzelitz and Mrs. Don (Pat) VanGrinsven, all from Kaukauna. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with a concelebrated mass with the Rv. Earl Brouchoud and the Rev. Gary Dantinne officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Sunday. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

    Frank, Marie E. Marie Frank of Appleton passed away at the Appleton Medical Center on Friday morning, April 20, 2007. She was born in Shawano, Wisconsin, to the late William and Ellen (Dietzler) Baumgarten. Marie was a graduate of the Kaukauna High School and the Outagamie County Rural Normal School. She married Jerome Frank on June 6, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1982. For seventeen years, Marie taught at a variety of rural schools, but for over forty years taught elementary school in Appleton. Most of those years were spent in the first-grade classroom at Lincoln Elementary.

    Marie is survived by a brother, Raymond (Mildred) Baumgarten, Kaukauna; a sister, Dorothy Milbach, Kaukauna; a sister-in-law, Helen Baumgarten, Texas; as well as many nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerome in 1982, Brothers Marvin, William, Elmer (Faye), Bob, and Edward (Carmen); sisters Esther (Roy) Cropsey, Florence (George) Anderson, and Marian (Kenneth) Juse; and a brother-in-law Nick Milbach.

    The funeral liturgy for Marie will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2007, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 W. 7th Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 7 p.m. and again at the church on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

    The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the many friends and family members who remembered Marie with their frequent visits, many prayers, and kind thoughts.
