    Ronald Lom passed away on March 30th at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Ron was proud to have served his country as member of the United States Air Force.

    He is survived by a brother, Wilbert (Lorraine) Lom of Florida; a sister, Jane (Geno) Zastrow of Appleton; and by nieces, nephews and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Nellie Lom; a sister, Theresa Verhyen; and a brother, Tom Lom of Wausau.

    A graveside service for Ron will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2006, at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Little Chute. Deacon Bruce Corey will lead the service.

    Coenen, Louis P.
    Louis P. Coenen, 89, De Pere, went to eternal rest on Wednesday, June 28, 2006. Born to the late Frank and Lena (Albers) Coenen on July 17, 1916, Louis lived in De Pere, his entire life. Louis served his country in World War II in the U.S. Army stationed in Europe. He married Mildred Derouin June 1, 1946. Louis worked as a butcher at Armour Foods for 42 years and also at Jacobs Grocery Store. He was an avid fisherman and hunter with many years spent at the "Diamond C" cabin in Pelican Lake, Wis. After his retirement in 1978, Louis and Millie traveled extensively.

    Survivors include wife, Mildred; three daughters and families, Lynn (Chuck) Leininger, children, Brook (friend, Drew) and Brittney (fiance, Tony); Vicki (Bob) Heuvelmans, children, Justin, Casey, and Whitney; Beckie (Jim) Rottier. Louis is further survived by brothers, Herb (Beattie) Coenen, Francis (Fritz) Coenen, and Clarence Coenen; sisters, Helen (Norb) Achten and Rosemary (Joe) Bartels.

    He was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law, Agatha (Leo) Albers, Carol (Ray) Lisch; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Coenen and Fran Coenen; brother-in-law Gerald Bloemer.

    Louie spent countless hours volunteering for the VFW, De Pere Men's Club, and Our Lady of Lourdes. His entire life was spent enjoying his family and many friends.

    Visitation for Louis will be Friday, June 30, 2006, from 9 until 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Family Parish (Corner of Suburban & Lourdes Drive, De Pere).   • Note: Charles "Chuck" Leininger, 63, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 17, 2013 at his home. He was born October 20, 1949 in Green Bay, son of the late Charles and Elvira (Lasee) Leininger. Chuck graduated from East De Pere High School, and served his country in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1971, where he was a Recon Photographer in Vietnam. He married Lynn Coenen on October 21, 1972. Chuck started his photography career with his parents, Charles and Vi, photographing weddings at the age of sixteen. After the passing of his father, Charles in 1973, Chuck took over the family studio. "Photography by Leiningers" moved to Bellevue where he and Dan Stoller operated the "Photo Art Center." He later moved the business to his home on Scrays Hill where "Leiningers of Ledgeview" is today.

    When Chuck didn't have a camera in his hand, he enjoyed making memories with family and friends. He spent time camping in Silver Glenn Springs, Florida, fishing, squirrel hunting and building the home and studio on Scrays Hill. Chuck and family boated for many summers in Door County and Michigan where he created countless friendships with the boating family. He loved spending time with his grandkids.

    He will be deeply missed by his wife, Lynn; children: Brooklyn (Drew) LeBeau and Brittney (Tony) Stich; grandchildren: Mathias, Charlotte and Eleanor Stich; brothers: Michael (Susan) Leininger, Jon (Cynthia) Leininger, Terry (Susan) Leininger, Cheryl Lenzi; mother-in-law, Millie Coenen; and in-laws: Vicki and Bob Heuvelmans and Beckie and Jim Rottier.

    Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Elvira; father, Charles; step-father, Walter Free; step-father, Ed Pouwels; and father-in-law, Louis Coenen.

    Family and friends may call Thursday, June 20, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, with Fr.   • Note: Robert (Bob) Heuvelmans, 59, of De Pere, died on Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2014. The son of Vernon "Cully" and Alice (Bernetzke) Heuvelmans was born September 29, 1954 in Green Bay . He was a graduate of West De Pere High School, Class of 1971. On April 20, 1974 he married Vicki Coenen at Old St. Joe's Church.

    Mr. Heuvelmans had worked at Ft. Howard Paper Company (now Georgia Pacific) for over 30 years. Bob was very active and served on the West De Pere School Board for many years. He served as a respected City Alderman for De Pere for many years. He was passionate about coaching and working with kids. He was always available to lend a helping hand to neighbors and friends. Bob was gifted with a great sense of humor and a smile that would light up a room. He was a very cool guy and was greatly respected by many people in town, some who he didn't even know. His biggest love in life was his family and enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids grow up. Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

    His family includes his wife, three children, Justin (Angela) Heuvelmans, Casey Heuvelmans, Whitney (Andrew) Reps, grandchildren, Stone, Sawyer, Silas, Gabriel, and Lily, his Mom, Alice, his sisters, Vicki (Albert) Manders, Theresa Monfort, Linda (Robert) Cox, Joyce (Dan) Diestler, a mother-in-law, Mildred Coenen, sisters-in-law, LynnLeininger, Beckie (Jim) Rottier, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, his father-in-law, Louis Coenen, brother-in-law, Chuck Leininger., and a special uncle, Bob Paape.

  • Note: Herbert Coenen, 88, De Pere, died peacefully with his family by his side on Monday night, Oct. 18, 2010, at a local nursing home. Herb was born on Nov. 10, 1921, in De Pere, to Frank and Lena (Albers) Coenen. On Jan. 6, 1947, he married the former Beatrice Gerarden — the love of his life.

    He served his country for five and a half years as a paratrooper during World War II in the South Pacific. He volunteered for the first Army experimental paratroop unit while it was still in its infancy. Herbert worked for Nicolet Paper Company from 1945 until his retirement in 1983.

    He will be remembered for great things, especially for how much he loved his whole family. Herb was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parish.

    Herbert is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Beatrice; their children, Gary H. (Bev) Coenen, Suamico; Ron (Judy) Coenen, De Pere; Dawn (Joie) Kampen, De Pere; brothers, Fritz and Clarence Coenen; sisters, Helen (Norb) Achten, Rosemary (Joe) Bartels; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Gerarden, Hazel Van De Ven, Margaret Forsythe, and Millie Coenen. His cherished grandchildren, Tiffany (Chris) Sanders and their children, Lauren, Anna, and Mary; Graham (Erika) Lasee; Melissa (Ty) Little; Melissa and Matt Coenen; Jacob, Jed, Lena and Luke Kampen; and MyKenzie Wolford (granddaughter of Ron and Judy).

    Herbert was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Randy Coenen and Cindy Lasee; brother, Louis Coenen; sisters, Agatha (Leo) Albers, Florence (Sam) Boyea and Caroline (Ray) Lisch; brothers-in-law, Donald Gerarden, Bernard Gerarden and Art Van De Ven.

    Herb will be very sadly missed by us all. He was a wonderful husband, father, and beloved grandpa. He was a very hard working man his whole life, and was always there to help.

  • Note: Beatrice Coenen, 91, De Pere, died peacefully with family by her side on December 2, 2016. Beatty was born on February 4, 1925 in De Pere to Napoleon and Barbara Gerarden. On January 6, 1947 she married Herbert Coenen, the love of her life, and they were together for almost 64 years.

    No matter what words we choose, they will be insufficient to adequately describe who this wonderful woman was. She loved life, and cared deeply for people.

    Beatty was a compassionate, patient, generous person who always put others ahead of herself. She was a humble, gentle soul and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She taught us all so much about life and how to be better people just by the example she set. So many people were blessed by her heartfelt care and concern. Filled with hospitality, whenever someone was in need, she was ready, offering her help which included her best-you-ever-tasted homemade meals and gourmet desserts. Beatty will be VERY sadly missed by us all. There is a big heart-shaped hole missing in our lives now. But we rejoice with her that she gets to see the God of her faith face to face.

    Beatrice is survived by three of her children: Gary H (Bev) Coenen, Suamico; Ron (Judy) Coenen, De Pere; Dawn (Joie) Kampen, De Pere; son-in-law, Jim Lasee, Bellingham, WA; ten cherished grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren: Tiffany (Chris) Sanders and their children Lauren, Anna and Mary; Graham (Erika) Lasee and their children Ella and Kayson; Melissa (Ty) Little and their children Teddy and Elliott; Melissa Lantz; Matt Coenen; Jacob Kampen; Jed (Bria) Kampen and their children Haddon and baby on the way; Lena (Kaidon) Hempton; Luke Kampen; Shane (Dee) Wolford and their daughter MyKenzie.

    Further survived by her sister Hazel Van De Ven, sisters-in-law Rosie Bartels and Millie Coenen, and brother-in-law Clarence Coenen. Also survived by numerous special nieces and nephews, and dear friend, Jenny Smith.

    Beatrice was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband Herb, two of their children Randy Coenen and Cindy Lasee, her sisters Dorothy Gerarden and Margie Forsythe, brothers Don Gerarden and Barney (Pat) Gerarden, and brothers-in-law Art Van De Ven, Louis Coenen, Fritz (Eleanor) Coenen, Joe Bartels; sister-in-law Fran Coenen, Helen (Norb) Achten, Agatha (Leo) Albers, Florence (Sam) Boyea and Caroline (Ray) Lisch, and niece Cathy Van De Ven.

  • Note: Francis "Fritz" Coenen, 89, of De Pere, died unexpectedly on All Saints Day, Thursday November 1, 2012 at home. The son of the late Frank and Lena (Albers) Coenen was born August 14, 1923 in De Pere. On April 27, 1946, he married the former Eleanor Van De Ven at St. Boniface Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on July 21, 2004. Fritz proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as an MP from 1943 to 1946.

    Fritz worked at DePere Progressive Farmers Co-op (now AgriPartners) for many years. He was an active member of the community and volunteered his time, talent and treasure to many worthy causes. He was a member and Past Officer of De Pere VFW Post 2113. Fritz loved playing cards enjoyed a good pool game in his earlier years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

    Survivors include his son, Rick (Rosa) Coenen, De Pere, two daughters, Sandy (Don "Fuzz") Milquet, De Pere, Sue (Dennis) Boettcher, Rhinelander, four grandchildren, Sarah and Mark Coenen and Christopher (Michelle) and Tracy Sue Boettcher (fiancé, Greg Vaughan), one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Boettcher, one brother Clem, one sister, Rosemary (Joe) Bartels, as well as Fritz's special friend, Dee Aland.

    She is survived by her sons, Larry (Nancy) Achten Sr., Dennis (Judy) Achten, Jeff (Sue) Achten, Ken (Chriss) Achten, and Mark (life partner Jim Wright) Achten; several brothers and sisters, eight grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norbert, and several brothers and sisters.

    Helen was a member of the De Pere VFW Post 2113 Ladies Auxiliary.

    Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 10:00 am at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368 with Deacon Huber officiating.
