Della Eslein

  • Note: Mrs. Peter Feller died at the age of 95 at her home on Wisconsin Ave. She was the widow of pioneer hardware dealer Peter Feller, and lived here 79 years coming to Kaukauna in 1882, from Manitowoc by ox cart with her parents. She was 17 years old at that time. She would often recall the early days in town when she lived on forth street the south side of the river. She would say "That was the edge of town at that time nothing but forest after that."

    Miller, Col. Patricia M. USA (Ret.)


    Col. Patricia M. Miller, USA (Ret.), passed away December 7, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born May 23, 1928, in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, to Glen and Ruth Miller. Pat entered the Army Nurse Corps in 1958. She received her BSN from Boston University and her Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of Washington (Seattle). She retired from the USA Nurse Corps after 22 years of service. Two of her last assignments were as Assistant Director of the WRAIN Program and as Director of the Army Nurse Corps Career Activities Office. In 1979, Pat received the Dr. Anita Newcomb McGee Award of the National Society (DAR). She spent part of her retirement years in Florida before returning to San Antonio.

    She is survived by her longtime companion, Lt. Col. Beverly Scoville, USA (Ret.); brother, Robert R. Miller and wife Sylvia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

  • Death: He died on December 26, 2016, at age 81, in Oconto Falls, Oconto Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Kenneth W. "Mooch" Malchow, 81, Oconto Falls, formerly of Crivitz, died Monday evening, December 26, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Oconto Falls with loving family by his side following a 23 year battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born January 19, 1935 in Manistique, MI to Earl and Irene (Hoglund) Malchow. As a young man he served in the US Air Force for eight years.

    On July 21, 1957 he married Lois Hansen in Antigo. The couple lived in the Neenah area where Ken was employed as an electrician with Local 159 IBEW while working in area paper mills. While living in Neenah, he was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. Over the years, Ken and Lois enjoyed living near water and owned several cottages until eventually retiring to Huber Lake near Crivitz. Ken will be fondly remembered for his love of hunting, fishing, woodworking and fixing things as well as his fun sense of humor and loyalty to the Green Bay Packers.

    Survivors are his loving wife of 59 years, Lois Malchow, Oconto Falls; their four children, Debra (James) Kurzynske, Hiles; Brad (Alice) Malchow, Oconto Falls; Cherie (Chris) Van De Hey, Wrightstown; Steve (fiancé Dawn Clark) Malchow, Watertown; 14 grandchildren, Michael (Amber) Lashua, Anne (Bob) Schneiberg, Katie (Alex) Hedges and Jessica Lashua; Daniel (Chelsea), David and Elizabeth Malchow, Joshua and Megan Van De Hey, Owen, Carson and Fletcher Malchow, Grant and Sophie Clark; five great grandchildren, Eli, Brecken and Maddix Malchow and Amya Holstrom, Hudson Hedges; one brother, Gary (Beanie) Malchow, Kaukauna; nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Don (Virginia) Malchow, son-in-law Jerry Lashua and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Dick Rose and Karen (Robert) Wroblewski.

    Visitation will be held at Faith Ev. Presbyterian Church, 806 Fritzie Ave. Crivitz after 10am Friday, December 30, 2016 until the time of service. Funeral services will be held 12 noon at the church with the Rev. David J. Pleuss officiating. Cremation will follow.

    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.

    The Malchow family would like to thank Atrium Post Acute Care of Oconto Falls and Unity Hospice for the care and concern shown to Ken during their time together.
