    Viaene, Alyce A. Alyce A., 64, Lakewood, formerly of Appleton, died Sunday, June 4, 2006, at her home with her family by her side. She was born October 11, 1941, daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Hartzheim) Main. Alyce married Ronald J. Viaene May 7, 1960, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. She and her loving husband truly enjoyed 46 years of happily married life on May 7, 2006, with their entire family.

    Alyce was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute and St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Lakewood where she was a member of the altar society. She was also a member of Lakewood Lioness Club and the Lakewood Red Hat Society. Mrs. Viaene was a graduate of Accredited School of Beauty Culture, Green Bay. Along with raising 5 children, she spent many hours as a bookkeeper for the family business, Ron Viaene Realty and Construction. Alyce enjoyed playing cards and bocce ball with her friends in Lakewood. She also enjoyed gardening, yard work, knitting and "shopping until she dropped', and most of all spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and friends.

    Alyce is survived by her husband, Ronald J.; five children: Tom Viaene (friend Kathy), Hinkley, MN and children, Layne and Brendon; Jim Viaene, Madison; Jenny (Dan) Van Dyke, Kohler and children: Emily, Stacy and Natalie; Dave (Kelly) Viaene, Hortonville and children: Rebecca, Ben and Amanda; Ron Viaene, Hortonville and children, Jacob and Allison; brother, Bob (Sue) Main, Oshkosh; sisters: Marylee Bachhuber, Orange, Connecticut; Barbara (LeRoy) Beck, Kaukauna; sisters-in-law: Janet (Mark) Biese, Lakewood; Carol (Dan) Philipsen, Winneconne; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Dorothy Main; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard and Alice Viaene; brother-in-law, Al Bachhuber.

    Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 Pine Street, Little Chute, with Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call at the church from 3 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the mass.

    A memorial mass will also be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2006, at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, 15232 County Road F, Lakewood. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of the mass.

    In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for cancer research in Alyce's name.

    Alyce's family wishes to thank the University of Wisconsin Oncology, Lutheran General Oncology of Chicago and Unity Hospice of Green Bay for their loving care and concern.

    The beautiful memories of our mother's love will be a comfort to us through all the days ahead. She will be sadly missed by everyone whose heart she touched. Your loving Children.
