    Carol J. Reinhardt of Kaukauna, WI, age 79, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 23, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family after almost a three-year battle with cancer. She was born June 18, 1936. Carol was a Kaukauna resident her entire life and retired from Presto Products. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cribbage and cards, baking, time at the casino and time at her daughter's cottage

    Survivors include her children: Lynn (Dave) Green, Steve (Fran) Smith, Ken Smith, Barb Smith, Jeff (Lauri) Smith and Theresa Smith. Grandchildren: Dennis (Chrissy) Green, Daniel Green, Ben Smith, Mark (Michelle) Smith, Beka Smith, Heather (Tim) Oates, Jeremy (Natalia) Smith and Trisha Smith. Great grandchildren: Natalie, Savannah, Charlotte, Violet Oates, Aleksander Smith and Allie Jackan. Close family friends, Barb Giessel, Marv Wyngaard and Lisa Blohm.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Marv Reinhardt, her parents, William and Bertha Zahn and one sister and brother in law, Betty and Norman Klarner in addition to many aunts and uncles.

    A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna with Pastor Lucretia Fehrmann officiating.   • Note: Carl D. Wuyts, 84, of Henderson, passed away June 4, 2010. He was born Dec. 7, 1925, in Kaukauna, Wis. Carl was a retired printer and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

    His hobbies included making jewelry, hunting, fishing, golfing and traveling. He was also a member of the Masons of Utah. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, August and Lydia Wuyts; siblings, Anna, Emma, Bertha, Florence, Albert and Harry; wives, Reeta and Mildred; and grandson, Dusty Deuel.

    He is survived by his wife, Bernice; two brothers, two children, stepson, eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

    There will be a memorial service at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, at the River Mountain Mobile Estates Clubhouse, 1272 Dean Court, Henderson, NV 89002. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society .

  • Note: Jack D. Wuyts, age 81, died peacefully surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness on Monday, May 23, 2011. He was born on August 22, 1929, in Kaukauna, son of the late August and Lydia (Vleminckx) Wuyts. On June 10, 1950, he was united in marriage to the former Berniece Besaw. Jack was employed by Thilmany Pulp & Paper for 44 years until his retirement on September 1, 1989. He retired as pulp mill superintendent. Jack enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Mountain, deer hunting, fishing and relaxing. There was no greater love than the love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Berniece; his children: Diane (Dave) Wittman, Karen (Ray) Diedrick and Keith Wuyts; 9 grandchildren: Cory (Angela) Wittman, Mike (Becky) Wittman, Heather (Joe) Totman, Nick (Tina) Wuyts, Brian (Rene) Diedrick, Eric (Tammy) Diedrick, Dustin (Paula) Diedrick, Jake Wuyts and Taylor Wuyts; 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; a brother, Robert (Aureta) Wuyts; a sister-in-law, Bernice Wuyts; a brother-in-law, Les (Janice) Besaw and special friends: Fred and Bev Barribeau. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.

    Preceding him in death were his parents, a son Donald "Woody" Wuyts, brothers and sisters: Annie (Joe) Rademacher, Emma (Ezra) Terry, Bertha (Bill) Zahn, Albert (Louise) Wuyts, Harry (Jean) Wuyts, Carol Wuyts and Florence (Leo) Blair as well as his in-laws: Magdalene and Ervin Besaw, and Bill Besaw.

    The Mass of Christian Burial for Jack will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy celebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Cr., Kaukauna, on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. where a parish prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Jack's name is being established.

    The family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the kindness and care shown Jack and his family by the staff of Parkside Care Center and St. Elizabeth Hospital.

  • Note: Berniece A. Wuyts, Kaukauna, age 86, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, surrounded by her family, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on December 4, 1928 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Ervin and Magdalene (Vandenzen) Besaw. On June 10, 1950 Berniece married Jack D. Wuyts at Holy Cross Catholic Church. The couple enjoyed 61 years of marriage together prior to his death on May 23, 2011. Berniece loved spending time at the cottage in Mountain, fishing, crocheting and especially spending time with the family she held so precious. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church where she volunteered in the CCD Program and was a volunteer at the St. Paul Home. Berniece was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

    Berniece is survived by her children: Karen (Ray) Diedrick, and Keith Wuyts; a son-in-law, Dave Wittman (special friend Bonnie); 9 grandchildren: Cory (Angela) Wittman, Mike (Becky) Wittman, Heather (Joe) Totman, Nick (Tina) Wuyts, Brian (Rene) Diedrick, Eric (Tammy) Diedrick, Dustin Diedrick, Jake Wuyts, and Taylor Wuyts; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren; a brother, Lester (Janice) Besaw, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is further survived by her husband's family: Aureta and Bernice Wuyts.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, a daughter, Diane Wittman in 2013, a son, Donald "Woody" Wuyts in 2007, a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy (Dave) Carnot, and a brother, Bill Besaw. She is further preceded in death by her husband's family: Annie (Joe) Rademacher, Emma (Ezra) Terry, Bertha (Bill) Zahn, Albert (Louise) Wuyts, Harry (Jean) Wuyts, Carl Wuyts, Florence (Leo) Blair, and Robert Wuyts.

    A funeral service for Berniece will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating.   • Note: Robert G. Wuyts, Kaukauna, age 79, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012. He was born July 21, 1932 in Kaukauna, son of the late August and Lydia Wuyts. Robert was united in marriage to the former Aureta (Rita) Toms on July 1, 1953. He built a home for his bride in Kaukauna and they happily resided there for almost 59 years and together they raised their three daughters with love. He doted on his grandchildren and thought they were God's reward for a life fully lived. Robert retired from Thilmany's in 1994 after 44 years of service; he was a member of its Quarter Century Club. He loved messing around in his garage doing woodworking projects. Summers were enjoyed at Berry Lake for many years with family reunions, pontoon rides and friends, the Edward Koleske's and the Len Menning's. Robert was a faithful member of Peace United Methodist Church in Kaukauna.

    He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rita; his children: Kathryn (Douglas) Krueger, Greeley, CO and Berry Lake, WI, Sally Wuyts, Kaukauna, and Laura (Steven) Anholzer, Freedom; his grandchildren: Dawn (Thomas) Hillman, Greeley, CO, Major Robert (Chandra) Krueger, Marlton, NJ, currently serving in Iraq, Raenee (Jaime) Delgado, Yukon, OK, Michelle (Justus) Nichols, Greeley, CO, Robert (Amanda) Franklin, Springfield, TN, and Joseph Wuyts, Kaukauna; great-grandchildren: Michael Delgado, Isabella Delgado, Brady Hillman, Jacob Nichols, Timothy Nichols, Soeren Krueger, and Cameron Franklin.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters: Anna Rademacher, Bertha Zahn, Emma Terry and Florence Blair; his brothers: Albert, Harold, Carl and Jack; his granddaughters: Jessica and Sarah.

    A Celebration of Robert's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 2300 Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna with Rev. Lynn Kollath officiating.     Emma Bertha Terry, 93, Kaukauna, passed away Friday morning, May 1, 2009, at St. Paul Home. Emma was born March 4, 1916, in Kaukauna, to the late August and Lydia (Fleming) Wuyts. On June 12, 1932, Emma was united in marriage to Ezra Terry. In their younger years they enjoyed traveling together while he was employed at Kimberly-Clark Corporation. He preceded her in death in 1961.
    She was employed at Zwickers Knitting Mill for 16 years, until her retirement. Emma enjoyed sewing and gardening. She will be remembered for being able to grow almost anything. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren and her wonderful niece, Carol Reinhardt. She was a faithful member at Peace United Methodist Church, in Kaukauna.
    Emma is survived by her grandson, Michael (Debra) Terry; five great-grandchildren, Amber, Corey, Chris, Rachel and Tabitha; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Carl (Mildred), Jack (Bernice) and Robert (Rita) Wuyts; numerous nieces and nephews, including Carol Reinhardt; a brother-in-law, Leo Blair; and many other relatives and friends.
    In addition to her husband, Emma is preceded in death by her son, James (Ingrid) Terry; two brothers, Harry and Albert (Louise) Wuyts; three sisters, Ann (Joe) Rademacher, Bertha Zahn and Florence Blair; her sister-in-law, Jean Wuyts; and brother-in-law, William Zahn.
    In honoring Emma's wishes, no services will be held.

Surviving are her parents; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Blair, Kaukauna; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Jansssen, Freedom; and a sister, Kristy, at home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, Seymour, with the Rev. Franklin Block officiating. Friends may call at the United Methodist Church, Seymour, Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. The Muehl Funeral Home, Seymour, is in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established for the Heart Fund.

    Bertha E. Zahn, of Kaukauna, age 89, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna. Bertha was born March 4, 1916 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late August and Lydia (Vlemincks) Wuyts. In 1941, she married William Zahn in Kaukauna he preceded her in death in April of 1979. For many years, Bertha was employed at the local A & W Restaurant, as well as at Kaukauna Cheese.

    She was a member of the Kaukauna Moose Lodge where she donated countless hours over the years. Bertha enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and will be remembered as an avid baker who was also the most generous of women.

    Bertha is survived by a daughter, Carol Reinhardt of Kaukauna nine grandchildren: Linda (David) Green, Steven (Fran) Smith, Ken Smith, Barbara Smith, Jeffery (Laurie) Smith, Theresa Smith, Gary (Susan) Klarner, Dan (Pat) Klarner, and JoAnn (Mark) Shropshire twelve great-grandchildren: Dennis Green, Dan Green, Benjamin Smith, Mark Smith, Rebecca Smith, Heather Smith, Jeremy Smith, Trisha Smith, Cory Klarner, Amanda Klarner, Kate Shropshire, and Jake Shropshire three brothers: Carl Wuyts of Utah, Jack (Bernice) Wuyts of Kaukauna, and Robert (Aureta) Wuyts of Kaukauna two sisters: Florence (Leo) Blair of Kaukauna and Emma Terry of Kaukauna a sister-in-law, Louise Wuyts of Kaukauna.

    Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1979 a daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" (Norman) Klarner brothers: Harry (Jean) Wuyts and Al Wuyts a sister, Ann (Joe) Rademacher and a brother-in-law, Ezra Terry.

    The funeral service for Bertha will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 2300 E. Wisconsin Avenue in Kaukauna with Rev. Kent Ingram officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. and again at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
