    Age 97, of Appleton, died peacefully with her family by her side, on Monday July 14, 2014 at Appleton Retirement Community. She was born in Little Falls, MN on November 23, 1916 to the late Clement and Mary (Halloran) Callan, and moved to Greenville, Wisconsin in 1917 where she grew up on "The Farm". On May 18, 1946 she married William Jochman and together they lived in Appleton their entire lives. She worked at Zwickers Knitting Mill for many years during WWII to support the war effort.

    Arlene was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church for nearly 70 years. She was active in the church and volunteered for many activities. Arlene also volunteered at Salvation Army for over 25 years. She lovingly raised five children and enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and decorating for the holidays.

    She is survived by daughter in-law Jacqueline Jochman - Arkdale, son Robert (Jane) Jochman - Appleton, daughter Shirley (Randall) Rehfeldt - Appleton, son Roger (Pamela) Jochman - Neenah, son John (Debora) Jochman - Neenah. Sister Evelyn (Chris) Wolf - Hortonville, grandchildren: Joseph Jochman, Jay (Christine) Jochman, Timothy Jochman, Scott (Stacy) Rehfeldt, Kristina (Jose) Valdiviezo, Amy (Brian) Luebke, Michael (Stephanie) Jochman, Brittany Jochman, great grandchildren: Casey Jochman, McKenzie Jochman, Elliott Jochman, Tyler and Caleb Bungert, expecting baby Rehfeldt and baby Valdiviezo soon, uncle Norm (Ginnie) Halloran, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Jochman, son Gerald Jochman, brother Leland (Rosalie) Callan, brothers & sisters in-law: Joe (Ethel) Jochman, Len (Loretta) Jochman, Jim Jochman, Al (Sue) Jochman, Norb (Hazel) Jochman, Mary (Ed) Komp.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 213 E. Wisconsin Ave. Appleton, with Father Bill Hoffman officiating. Entombment will take place on Friday at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 9:00AM until the time of Mass at the CHURCH.

On July 22, 1950 she was united in marriage to Duane Heindel and they spent 64 years together. Ann enjoyed playing bridge and played since high school. She also enjoyed sewing and loved to read, especially historical novels. Ann was very active in her church and sang in the choir at Holy Cross.

    Ann is survived by her husband Duane, five children: Steven (Roxanne) Heindel, Menasha, Catherine Heindel, San Diego, California, Louis (Mary) Heindel, Orlando, Florida, Jennifer (John) Trottier, Neenah, Charles (Jackie) Heindel, Sylvania, Georgia, 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; siblings: Carl (Jinna) Hilgenberg, Poynette, Claire (Monroe) Schneider, Kaukauna, and Sally Tarala, Menasha, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Ann was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter Mary Heindel.

    The funeral liturgy for Ann will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass at church. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

  • Note: Anna Marie Roeland, age 101, of Appleton, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012 at Appleton Health Care Center. She was born on June 11, 1910 in Mackville, the oldest child of Andrew and Catherine (Klein) Gengler. Anna married John Roeland at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton on June 14, 1937. They shared 49 years together before his death in 1986.

    Anna was employed at Kimberly Clark from 1930 until 1940 and at Lawrence University from 1952 until 1975. After her retirement, she volunteered at St. Elizabeth Hospital for many years. Anna was a very strong and independent woman and was able to remain in her home until she was over 100 years old with help from family, friends, and neighbors. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton.

    Anna is survived by her children: Jacqueline (Richard) Casperson and Richard (Rosalie) Roeland; grandchildren: Karen (Chuck) Farah, Jon (Shari) Huhn, Mark (Kim) Huhn, Ellen (Al) Bock, Robert Roeland and Daniel (Jen) Roeland; great-grandchildren: Alex and Abby Farah, Michelle Huhn, Molly Huhn, Emily (Kurt) McCabe, Jared Crego, Lukas Roeland, Sara and Kate Roeland; step-grandchildren: John (Wendy Capelli) Casperson and Rob (Merry) Casperson; step great-grandchildren: Llana Crego, Nicole Witter, Ashly Casperson, Alex Sauer and Mitchell Casperson; also four step great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters: Helen Schommer and Rita (Patrick) Roche, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; sisters: Marcella "Sally" (Robert) Schmidt, Rose (Hubert "Butch") Mueller and Genevieve Gengler; brother: Lawrence (Georgine) Gengler and brothers-in-law: Merle Schommer and Herbert (Priscilla) Roeland.

    The funeral liturgy for Anna will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont Street, Appleton. Fr. Tony Ibekwe will be officiating. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of mass.

    The family would like to thank Anna's caregivers and friends at Appleton Health Care Center and ThedaCare Hospice for their kindness and compassion.

He was employed by the Allis Chalmers Co. and had formerly owned and operated the Schroeder Auto Sales in Little Chute for eight years. Mr. Schroeder served in the U.S. Marine Corp durin gthe Korean War. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Margaret Demerath, Appleton; two sons, Roger and Richard, both of Appleton; a brother, Robert Schroeder, Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Betty) Hogan, Kenosha, Wis., Mrs. Harry (Dorothy) Anderson, Appleton.   • Note: Georgine Gengler, 85, of Appleton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, December 5, 2010, at Brewster Village. Georgine was born on February 28, 1925, to the late Joseph and Agnes (Alesch) Heimmermann. Her mother passed away when she was very young and she spent 10 years living with her grandparents until her father married the person she considered her mother Genevieve Werner. She liked to dance and met her husband at the Cinderella Ballroom. She married Lawrence Gengler on May 29, 1952, at St. Therese and together they lived and worked on a farm on the north side of Appleton. On the farm Georgine blossomed, learning to drive, cook and bake wonderful breads, cookies and apple pies, flower arranging, and even upholster furniture. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her friends and neighbors, especially sheepshead. Georgine was a member of St. Edward Mackville and the Christian Mothers Organization. She had many special times with her first grandson Jason. She always loved to visit people, had a kind and loving heart and always was thinking of others first.

    Georgine is survived by her daughter Sharon (George) Nemecek, Appleton; six grandchildren: Jason (Jacque) Nemecek, Katie Nemecek, Laurie (Nic) Davis, Mark Nemecek, Nick Nemecek, Derek (fiancee Jenny) Nemecek; seven great-grandchildren: Pearl and Zachery Nemecek, Gavin and Allison Courchesne, David and Georgia Davis, and Kendra Nemecek; brothers: Joseph (Mert) Heimmermann, Carl Heimmermann and David (Ruby) Heimmermann; a sister: Eunice (Ves) Vanden Hogen; brothers and sister-in-laws: Dan Van Boxtel, Ann Roeland, Rose Mueller, Helen Schommer, Jenny Gengler, and Rita (Pat) Roche, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

    Georgine was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, her sister Germaine, three infant brothers, and her sister-in-law, Sally (Bob) Schmidt, and brothers-in-law, John Roeland Merle Schommer and Clement Gengler and her mother- and father-in-law, Catherine and Andrew Gengler.

    A Mass of Christian Burial for Georgine will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2010, at ST. EDWARD CATHOLIC CHURCH (Highway 47 N, Mackville) at 11 a.m. with Fr. Mark Vander Steeg and Fr. Justin Werner co-officiating. Burial will be in the St. Edward Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Wichmann Funeral Home and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the Church. A Prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Georgine's name.

    The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Brewster Village especially those in the Lodge, and to Deb Ebel, and Fr Mark, Fr. Falk, and Fr. Werner for all the visits and prayers.

Genevieve was born December 22, 1921, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine (Klein) Gengler. Genevieve was formerly employed with General Motors in Milwaukee. During WWII she made rivets and assisted in the war effort at defense plants in Milwaukee and in California. She was a self-taught musician who enjoyed playing the piano and accordion also traveling and dancing.

    She is lovingly survived by her four sisters, Anna Roeland, Appleton; Rose Mueller, Appleton; Helen Schommer, Freedom; Rita (Patrick) Roche, Appleton; twenty-four nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

    Genevieve was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Gengler, a sister, Marcella Schmidt, four brothers-in-law, Merle Schommer, John Roeland, Hubert Mueller and Robert Schmidt, and a sister-in-law, Georgine Gengler.

    A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011, at St. Edward Catholic Church, N2926 State Road 47, Mackville, with Deacon Ray Ambrosius officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Edward Catholic Cemetery. Genevieve's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. A memorial fund is being established for St. Edward Catholic Church.

She was crazy for her dogs, Emily and Skooter. Cleo cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

    Cleo is survived by her husband, Al; children: Timothy (Pamela) Hatton, Green Bay; and Tom (Jackie) Hatton, Stockbridge; step children: David (Jennifer) Vissers, Kaukauna; Tonya (Whitey) Borseth, Brillion; and Josh Vissers, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Zayden, Austin, Holly and Nicole Hatton; step grandchildren: Ashlyn, Alayna, Abigail, Jonathan and Abigail Vissers; step great grandchildren; siblings: Joan Gipp, Paul "Ted" Delcore (special friend Laura Dolezel; niece Sherry (Brian) Agen; grand nephews Andrew (Godson) and Brandon; father-in-law Sylvester Vissers; good friend Isy Schmidt; other relatives and many friends.

    In addition to her parents, Cleo was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law: Frank Gipp and Gary Vissers.

    Visitation will be held Friday July 9, 2010, beginning at 3 p.m. until time of funeral at 6 p.m. at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (201 E. Main St. Little Chute). The Rev. Greg Sampson will officiate.
