  • Note: Patricia Bani Bacon, 82, De Pere passed away surrounded by love on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 after a memorable and comforting stay at Woodside Lutheran Home. She was born March 20, 1930 in Green Bay to the late Charles and Leona (Borths) Seroogy. On June 17, 1974 she was united in marriage to John "Red" Bacon. Red preceded her in death on December 11, 2008. Pat devoted her entire life to raising her nine children.

    Survivors include her children; Joanne (Robert) Strenn, Mavis (Leigh) Pickl, Patricia (Dan) Miller, Jeffrey (Cyndy) Bani, Randall (Kim) Bani, Keith (Sandra) Bani, Kevin (Patti) Bani, Lisa (Jim) Michiels, Julie (Bob) Hussin. Pat's 30 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren also survive. She is further survived by one sister Mavis Desotelle, Red's family: Florence (Ambrose) Manders, Carol (Bernie) Marcinkowski, Marilyn Vanden Berg, Dan (Pat) Bacon, Bonnie Bacon, and Butch (Verna) Zelten, and many nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, granddaughter Shannon Krystof, two brothers; Roy (Clara) and Gerald (Eleanor) Seroogy, and one sister Lorraine (Cletus) Selissen, brother-in-law Dick Desotelle, sisters-in-law Helen (Norbert) Peters, June Zelten, brothers-in-law Don Vanden Berg, and Elwood Bacon.

    Family and friends may visit from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Woodside Lutheran Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Apfel.   • Note: LaVonne "Boni" G. Bacon. 89, Green Bay passed away peacefully early Saturday morning April 12, 2014. Boni was born May 24, 1924 in Canning, South Dakota to the late Seymour and Muriel (Newton) Woodland. On March 1, 1947 she married Elwood Bacon. Boni worked lovingly to raise her three boys. She had worked at Sears in Green Bay as the Credit Manager. Boni liked to garden, golf, travel and camp in her spare time. After Elwood passed away she moved to Tucson, Az. And there she married Robert Renwick, and they spent seven wonderful years together before he passed away.

    Boni is survived by her sons; Clay (Betina Fink) Bacon, and Rodney (Barb) Bacon. She is further survived by her grandchildren; Catherine (Brittany Davis) Bacon, Olivia Bacon, Waylon Bacon, Amber Bacon, Jennifer (Troy) Coonen, Virginia (Jeremy) Bodus, and her great granddaughter Kennedy Bodus.

    Boni was preceded in death by her first husband Elwood Bacon, her second husband Robert Renwick, as well as her son Michael Bacon.

Ambose served his country in the Army Corp. of Engineers. On September 9, 1950 he was united in marriage to Florence Bacon. Ambrose worked at Ft. Howard Paper Co. for over 34 years before his retirement.

    He is survived by his wife Florence, their children; Patricia Kazik, Paul (Deb) Manders, and Carol (Richard) Roshek. He is further survived by his 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Craig Manders as well as his parents and son-in-law Thomas Kazik.

    Friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, De Pere after 9:30AM Saturday January 16, 2016. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM with Fr.   • Death: Helen Mae Bacon died on November 22, 2011, at age 85.
  • Note: Helen Mae Peters, age 85, a resident of Garrow Villa, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2011 at the Villa. Helen was born on February 23, 1926 in the town of Lawrence, daughter of the late Benjamin and Ella (Stren) Bacon. On June 21, 1947, she married Norbert at St. Boniface Catholic Church, De Pere. Helen worked at a couple of places, but her most recent was at the Brillion Iron Works, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Brillion Women's Club, enjoyed playing bridge and cribbage with numerous card clubs, and loved spending time with her family.

    Helen is survived by her children: Tom (Terri) Peters, Joy (Gary) Gilbertson, and Jill Peters, all of Brillion; daughter-in-law: Cindy Peters; grandchildren: Scott (special friend Pam) Peters of Brillion, Stacey Peters, Elisa (John) Bergstreser of Appleton, Ben (fiance' Melissa) Peters of Greenville, SC, Nicole (Troy) Schwabenlander, Heather (Darrel) Steinfest, and Chelsea Wyngaard all of Brillion; great-grandchildren: Cash, Addison, soon to be baby Schwabenlander, Taryn, and Tyler; sisters and brothers: Florence (Ambrose) Manders of Green Bay, Carol (Bernie) Marcinkowski of De Pere, Marilyn Vanden Burg of Green Bay, Daniel (Pat Bacon of Green Bay; three sisters-in-law: Bonnie Bacon of Phoenix, AZ, Sr. Mary Grace Peters of Green Bay, and Bonnie Peters of De Pere; brother-in-law: Butch Zelton of De Pere; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her husband Norb, her parents, her son: Dennis, brothers and sister: Elwood and John "Jack" Bacon and June Zelton, a brother-in-law: Don Vander Burg, and other in-laws.

    Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Timothy Brandt with burial at Holy Family Parish Cemetery.   • Note: Donald J. "Don" Vanden Berg, 79, Green Bay, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, Dec. 10, 2010.
    He was born July 8, 1931, in Green Bay, to Arnold and Adriana (Buets) Vanden Berg. On Nov. 24, 1962, he married Marilyn R. Bacon at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere. Don served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Don was the 1949 Men's Amateur Table Tennis Champion. He enjoyed playing cards, watching sports, especially the Packers and Milwaukee Braves/Brewers. For 25 years, he worked for Northwest Engineering.

    Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; his four daughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn and Robert Gentz, Janesville; Terri and John Juley, Green Bay; Maribeth and Roger De Starkey, Green Bay; Karen and Eric Selissen, Ashwaubenon; nine grandchildren, Aaron and Ryan Gentz, Jennifer and Kirsten Juley, Katelyn, Matthew and Jacob De Starkey, Emily and Elizabeth Selissen; one sister, Victoria Von Bergen; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and their spouses, Patricia Vandenberg, Helen Peters, Florence and Ambrose Manders, Carol and Bernie Marcinkowski, Daniel and Patricia Bacon, LaVonne Bacon, Patricia Bacon, Harold Zelten; nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Miriam (David) Meier; other relatives and friends especially Bernie and Chris Erickson.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Deanne and Raymond Schmuhl; a brother, Arnold Vanden Berg; a sister-in-law, June Zelten; and three brothers-in-law, Elwood Bacon, John Bacon and Norbert Peters.

    Friends may call at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 211 N. Maple From 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Timothy Brandt officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence Cemetery in the Town of Lawrence.
