    Becke Pennenberg, age 44, was carried away on wings of angels with her daughter by her side, following a tragic accident on, August 17, 2017.

    Becke had a love for the family farm, walking, and enjoyed all things outdoor. Becke was an outstanding mother, wife, daughter, friend, and so much more. Becke touched so many lives and will be deeply missed.

    Becke is survived by her husband Mike Pennenberg, children Noah and Isaiah Pennenberg; her parents Lynn and Joe Kussow; Siblings, Kerri (Al) Ruhland, Andrea Kussow, and Adam (Tammy) Kussow; her grandpa Barney Ribarchek; Ron (Cheryl) Pennenberg, Deb (Rick) Martzahl, Chris (Leo) Pennenberg, Sue (Steve) Ley, Mary (Scott) Pennenberg, Brain (Mary) Pennenberg, Dan (Tina) Pennenberg, Becky (Bob) Pennenberg. And many more family and friends.

    Becke will be joining her daughter Raelia Rose Pennenberg; Bob and Judy Pennenberg; Rita Ribarchek; Sherman and Verna Kussow; Ray and Vanita Pennenberg

    Until we meet again, Becke would want us to live each day "with a happy heart".

    A visitation will be held at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul Site, 437 Main Street, Wrightstown, on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 2:00pm-7:00pm. The service will be held at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 437 Turner Street, Wrightstown on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 11:00am with Pastor Mike Gehl officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service on Thursday and please note the change in location. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family.   • Note: Thomas H. (Tom) Emmer, "Bubbs", Kaukauna, age 66, died peacefully, Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Theda Clark Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was born July 12, 1947 in Appleton, son of the late Howard and Helen (Reffke) Emmer. Tom graduated from Xavier High School in 1965. He was employed at Appleton Papers - Combined Locks retiring in 2002. In 1981, Tom married the former Jeanne Bongard in Kaukauna. The couple lived in the Kaukauna area their entire married lives. Tom enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and was an all around outdoorsman. Later in life, he also enjoyed winters in Florida.

    He is survived by his wife, Jeanne (Bongard) and their 5 children: Christine (John) Wolf, Lisa (David) Carnot, Steven (Sara) Emmer, Mark (Ann) Kirsch and Anne (Mark) Christopher; his ten grandchildren: Chelsea Friday and Chloe Friday, Kaisha Homman and Krysta Carnot, Caleb Emmer and Saige Emmer, Maxwell (fiancée Stormie) Kirsch and Lauren Kirsch, Matthew Christopher and Emily Christopher; great-granddaughter, Ava Anderson; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law: Rita (Ted) Ohlrogge and Carol (Ron) Miller. He is further survived by his first wife and the mother of his children, Barbara "Sparky" Hoffman; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents.

    The Memorial Mass for Tom will be at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna. Family and friends will be received on Thursday directly at church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.     Wydeven, Gerald M. "Square"
    Gerald M."Square" Wydeven, Combined Locks, age 74, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, July 8, 2008. He was born in Combined Locks on June 12, 1934, the son of the late Richard and Grace (Jansen) Wydeven. On May, 6, 1961, Square married Elaine Heckner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood. He was a sales person for Crescent Electric in Appleton for 47 years, retiring in 1998. Square was very active in his church and community. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and former member of the Combined Locks Village Board. He loved playing cards, bowling, golf and painting with water colors. Square will be remembered for his love of being around people, but his biggest love was for his family.
    Square is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elaine; children: David Wydeven of Combined Locks; Mark (Sandy) Wydeven of Fox Point; Lynn (Howard) Jersild of Greenville; Scott "Scooter" Wydeven of Combined Locks; grandchildren: Jenna, Carl, Van, and Clara; brothers: Dick (Betty) Wydeven, Tom (Betty) Wydeven, James (Janice) Wydeven, Bob (Donna) Wydeven and Jeff (Beth) Wydeven; sisters: Carolyn (Dave) Minten and Barbara (Tom) Hoffman; and sisters-in-law: Isabelle Ganske and Karen Koeck.
    He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tom Heckner.
    The funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace St., Combined Locks, with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, July 11, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Combined Locks. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Square's name.

  • Note: Richard John "Dick" Wydeven, 82, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. He was born April 16, 1933, son of the late Richard and Grace (Jansen) Wydeven. Dick graduated from Kimberly High School in 1951 where he excelled in music and earned several medals in state competition as a first chair trumpet player. Dick was united in marriage to Betty (Elizabeth) Ryan on February 12, 1955. Together they worked in the restaurant industry for over 25 years, first owning and operating Dick and Betty's (Lox Club) and later Oakwood Hills Supper Club. Still young in 1985, the couple embarked upon a successful career as hotel managers before retiring in 2005. Dick was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed fishing and hunting and passing those skills on to his children. He was a passionate sports fan and voracious reader. He was known for his kindness, intelligence, and sense of humor. Dick will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

    Dick is survived by his children: Wendy (Amy Suprise) Wydeven, Tim Wydeven, Rich Wydeven and Daniel Wydeven; grandchildren: Chase and Kylee Wydeven; siblings: James (Janice), Tom (Betty), Bob (Donna), Jeff (Beth) and Elaine Wydeven, Carolyn (Dave) Minten and Barbara (Tom) Hoffman; brothers and sisters-in-law: Mary Ellen (Jerry) Locy and Margie (Dan) Verbeten; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; an infant daughter, Mary; a grandson, Ryan; his parents; father and mother-in-law: Timothy and Marie (Kurz) Ryan; a brother, Jerry Wydeven; brothers and sister-in-law: Robert Ryan and Zita (Fred) Steckelberg.

    Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 410 Wallace Street, Combined Locks, with Fr. Andy Kysely officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in the parish cemetery along with his beloved wife.     Betty Wydeven, 81, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2015. She was born on August 2, 1934, daughter of the late Timothy and Marie (Kurz) Ryan. Betty was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Wydeven on February 12, 1955. Together they worked side by side for over 25 years in the restaurant industry, owning Dick and Betty's and Oakwood Hills. They then got into the Hotel Management business and did that for over 20 years. Betty enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas and up north to Lake Tomahawk. Betty was able to attend the first two Super Bowls that the Packers played in. The greatest joys in her life were her grandchildren, Chase and Kylee, who filled her last years with so much love her heart was full. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by many.

    Betty is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dick, her children: Wendy (Amy Suprise) Wydeven, Tim Wydeven, Rich Wydeven and Daniel Wydeven; grandchildren: Chase and Kylee Wydeven; sisters: Mary Ellen (Jerry) Locy and Margie (Dan) Verbeten; brothers and sisters-in-law James (Janice), Tom (Betty), Bob (Donna), Jeff (Beth) and Elaine Wydeven, Carolyn (Dave) Minten and Barbara (Tom) Hoffman.

    Betty was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Mary; a grandson, Ryan; infant brother, Robert; a sister, Zita (Fred) Steckelberg; mother- in -law Grace, father-in-law Richard and a brother-in-law, Jerry Wydeven.

    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating.     Geurden, Tammy A. Tammy A. Geurden of Reno, Nevada, formerly of Oshkosh, passed away Friday September 1, 2006, at Washoe Medical Center in Reno. She was born on October 3, 1967, at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington D.C., the daughter of David L. and Sharon M. Geurden. Tammy graduated from Lourdes High School in 1985. She went on to get her bachelor's degree from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1993 and her Masters Degree from UW-Whitewater in 1997. Tammy spent much time working with developmentally disabled people at various agencies including RCDD in Oshkosh, REM in Madison, and Easter Seals in Reno, NV. Her patience and kindness to these people was extraordinary. She was currently working on her doctorate degree and was nine months from completion. She studied piano for many years and played memorable songs at her grandparents funerals. Her two Shih Tzu dogs, Spencer and Sophie, and her two cats Sadie and Sunshine, were an important part of her life.

    In 2000, she moved to Reno, Nevada. She enjoyed playing her piano, downhill skiing, water skiing, and karaoke. She was always remembering family, current friends, and friends from many years ago with birthday cards or other greeting cards.

    Tammy is survived by her parents, David L. and Sharon M. Geurden, Winneconne; a sister, Stacy (James) Papendorf, Oshkosh; aunts and uncles: Roger (Donna) Geurden, Kimberly; Clyde (Linda) Geurden, Menasha; Mary Thompson, Menasha; Randy (Chris) Geurden, Appleton; Gerald (Janice) Van Zeeland, Kimberly; Mel (George) Zelinski, Granbury, TX; Melvin Van Zeeland, Appleton; Janice (Don) Gloudemans, Kimberly; and Gary Van Gomple, Darboy; and many cousins and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her grandparents: George and Josephine Van Zeeland, and Martin and Lucille Geurden; aunt Mari Jo Van Gomple; nephew Ethan James Papendorf; and cousin Linda Van Offeren.

    A memorial mass will be held on Thursday Sept. 14, 2006, at 7 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church (210 Pleasant Dr.) in Winneconne with Fr. LeRoy Smet officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of mass. A memorial fund has been established at the Oshkosh Community Foundation.

    Tammy, you touched so many lives with your kindness. We love you and will miss you very much. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
