    I did not expect to be able to love you so long, but what the Lord does is well done. I left you all with love in my heart.
    Rose M. Laux, age 98, of Appleton, died on January 12, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Rose was born on February 9, 1907, in Wrightstown, to the late James and Mary (Van Enkenvort) Garrity. Rose married Gordon W. Laux May 13, 1925; he preceded her in death on September 8, 1984. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
    Rose enjoyed dancing, card playing and especially the time she spent with her family. She graduated from Normal School and was teacher at Garrity School in Wrightstown. Rose was also a long-time volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul and St. Piux X parish.
    Survivors include her children: Randolph (Emily) Laux, Appleton; Donald (Yoko) Laux, Newark, Texas; Bonita Damro, Little Chute; Gordon A. (Lois) Laux, Mexico; David E. (Judy) Menasha; Patrick (Carmen) Laux, Arizona; Joseph (Pamela) Laux, Florida; Mary (Tom) Murphy, Freedom; Kathy (Larry) Fondow, Appleton; and John Laux, Appleton; her brothers: Albert Garrity, Florida; and Irvin Garrity, Green Bay; her 34 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren; and her special friend, Arthur Hofkens, Appleton.
    She was preceded in death by her brothers: George Garrity and John Garrity, and her sisters: Alice Hooymen, Ethel Hagens and Marie Garrity; her son-in-law, Clifford Damro; and her grandsons: Mark Damro and James R. Laux.
    The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2006, at ST. PIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 West Marquette Street, Appleton, with Fr. Brian Belongia officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial has been established in her name.

  • Note: Randolph J. "Randy" Laux, 89, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015. Randy was born on November 17, 1925 to Gordon and Rose (Garrity) Laux Sr. Randy was united in marriage to Emily Lewis in June 1945. He was a veteran having served in the Air force. Randy started his career working with his father at Laux Motors Chrysler Plymouth, he then started Tri-City Motors and later started Laux AMC in Menasha, he loved cars and they were in his blood. He was also a real estate investor. Randy had many diverse hobbies that he enjoyed especially racing homing pigeons as a member of the Fox Valley Flying Club. Randy was also a pilot and enjoyed flying his Piper Cub. He also was an active outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, especially the Canada trips and hunting. They liked traveling and vacationing and in their later years enjoyed wintering in sunny Florida where Emily grew up as a child. He was a devoted husband and father, and a wonderful caregiver for his wife at Prairie Homes in Menasha.

    Randy is survived by his wife, Emily, three children; Michael (Carol) Laux, Pat Laux, and Judy (Dale) Voysey, ten grandchildren; Shannon, Shane, Eric, Chad, Heather, Nicole, Tonya, Alecia, Jesse and Mikaela, 23 great grandchildren; seven siblings; Don (Yoko) Laux, Dave (Judy) Laux, Gordy (Lois) Laux, Joe (Pam) Laux, John Laux, Mary (Tom) Murphy, Kathy (Larry) Fondow, a sister-in-law, Carmen Laux, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, a son James (Judy) Laux, a brother Pat Laux, and a sister Bunny (Cliff) Damro.

    The funeral liturgy will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 11:30AM at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W. Marquette St., with Rev. William Van Dynhoven officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the time of the mass at church. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery.

Emily married the love of her life, Randolph "Randy" Laux and together they were blessed with four children.

    During their early years in addition to raising her family, Emily also assisted Randy as a bookkeeper for Laux AMC. Emily enjoyed cooking, reading, playing Scrabble, bowling and was very talented at crochet. In their later years Emily and Randy spent their winters in Florida with many of their friends.

    Emily is survived by her three children, Michael (Carol) Laux, Pat Laux and Judy (Dale) Voysey; ten grandchildren, Shannon, Shane, Eric, Chad, Heather, Nicole, Tonya, Alecia, Jesse and Mikaela; twenty-three great-grandchildren; her five brother-in-law's, Don (Yoko) Laux, Dave (Judy) Laux, Gordy (Lois) Laux, Joe (Pam) Laux and John Laux; her three sister-in-law's, Mary (Tom) Murph, Kathy (Larry) Fondow and Corky Laux. She is further survived by many other nieces, nephews and dear friends.

    In addition to her parents Emily was preceded in death by her husband of sixty six years, Randy; her son, James Laux; her two brothers, John and Ernest Jr. Lewis and her brother-in-law, Pat Laux.

    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00 am at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Donald John Laux

  • Note: Donald J Laux, Sr. age 88, of Newark, Texas, passed away Monday morning, October 19, 2015. He was born March 6, 1927, to the late Gordon and Rose (Garrity) Laux, Sr., Appleton, Wisconsin.

    After high school in Appleton, Donald joined the Merchant Marines. In 1951 he joined the Air Force and retired after 20 years. Donald then settled in Texas and worked for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and General Dynamics until his retirement in 1990. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing poker with friends at the local VFW Post 10374; where he held various volunteer positions; his last as a Trustee. Donald was an avid reader and enjoyed discussions on current events and politics.

    Donald is survived by his wife of 42 years, Yoko Laux, who lovingly cared for her husband at home, three children, Donald, Jr (Barbara) Laux, Wild Rose, Debra McMullen, Menasha, and Tammy (Bob) Nelson, Oshkosh. Five grandchildren, Chad, Dawn, Andrea, Jennifer and Melissa, ten great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild. He is further survived by 4 brothers, David (Judy) Laux, Menasha, Gordon (Lois) Laux, Mexico, Joe (Pam) Laux, Florida, and John Laux, Appleton. Two sisters, Mary (Tom) Murphy, Freedom, Kathy (Larry) Fondow, Appleton, a sister-in-law Carmen Laux, Arizona and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Patrick Laux, Randolph (Emily) Laux, and a sister, Bonita (Cliff) Damro and nephews, James (Judy) Laux, Mark Damro.

    The memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home, 100 S. Ewing, Boyd, Texas on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Father Mathew Kavipurayidam officiating. Following the service at 1:00 p.m. interment will be in Dallas/Forth Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas.

  • Note: Bonita M. "Bunny" Damro, age 85, Little Chute, died Saturday September 21, 2013 at Appleton Health Care Center. She was born on July 26, 1928, to the late Gordon and Rose Laux. Bunny married her soul mate Clifford "Cliff" Damro on July 16, 1947 at St. Therese Parish in Appleton. They celebrated 50 years together before his death on February 8, 2002. Bunny devoted her life to taking care of others, her children, her mother-in-law and her husband. She cherished the time spent with her children, grandkids and great grandkids. Bunny treasured the memories made at the cottage and then Gulf Shores, AL.

    Bunny is survived by her daughter Kathy (Rich) Callan, Little Chute; sons: Dick (Joy), Green Forest AR, Paul (friend Susan), Kimberly; and Cliff, Little Chute; grandchildren: Heather Callan, Katie (Joe) Ornstein, Lucy (Brian), Peterson, Dave (Shar) Damro, John Damro, Amy (Andy) Vanderloop, Molly (Luke) Hietpas and Mandy (friend Zach) Damro; great grandchildren: Cooper, Owen and Amelia Ornstein, Mackenzie, Mason and Miles Peterson, Olivia and Avery Damro, Reese Vanderloop, with another Vanderloop great grandson on the way; sisters: Mary (Tom) Murphy, Kathy (Larry) Fondow; brothers: Randy (Emily), Dave (Judy), Joe (Pam) and John Laux; and sisters-in-law: Carmen Laux and Ione Kobussen. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    In addition to her parents and husband, Bunny was preceded in death by her son Mark; her brother Pat; father and mother-in-law Paul and Irma Damro; and brother-in-law Karl Kobussen.

    Visitation will be held Tuesday September 24, 2013 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 3:00 p.m. until the time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Msgr.     Age 77, died Saturday, February 8, 2002, at Cherry Meadows Hospice, Appleton, surrounded by love. He was born April 16, 1924 in Kaukauna, son of Paul and Erna (Reidl) Damro. Mr. Damro was a member of Saint John Catholic Church, Little Chute. He was also a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion, Little Chute, and the Appleton V.F.W. He graduated from Kaukauna High School and entered the United States Air Force in June of 1941. He flew with the 47th Bombardment Group and service in North Africa participating in the Sicilian and African Campaigns. Cliff married the love of his life Bonita "Bunny" Laux, July 16, 1947 at Saint Therese Catholic Church, Appleton. He was employed at Laux Motors from 1945 to 1963 and later at Turley Pontiac until his retirement. Cliff loved his family and leaves many memories of good times spent at the lake and at Gulf Shores with family and friends.

    He will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Bonita his children: Kathleen (Richard) Callan, Paul (Randy) Damro, Cliff Damro Jr., all of Little Chute and G. Dick (Joy) Damro, Green Forest, Arkansas ten grandchildren: Heather, Katie Callan and fiance Joe Lucy (Brian) Peterson John, Amy, Molly and Mandy Damro David Damro Gabriella Damro and Jesse Geske a great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Peterson his mother-in-law, Rose Laux, Appleton a sister, Ione Kobussen and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents a son, Mark father-in-law, Gordon Laux and brother-in-law, Karl Kobussen.

    Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2002, at Saint John Church, Little Chute, with Rev. Msgr. James VandenHogen officiating. Inurnment will be in Saint John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the church from 4 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service. Military rites will be conducted by Jacob Coppus American Legion, Little Chute, Post 258.

    Words cannot express the appreciation we feel towards the staff of Cherry Meadows Hospice. They are God's angels on this earth. Dad and our family were treated with compassion and understanding and this will not be forgotten. A special thanks also to Dr. Coenen and his nurse, Sherry and Dr. Whiteside.

    Dad: It's not goodbye, but till we meet again. We love you and will always miss you!

    Laux, Patrick Patrick R. Laux, 13138 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West, AZ 85375. I did not expect to leave so soon, but the Lord had His plan. I left you all with love and peace in my heart.

    Pat, age 74, died peacefully at home, Tuesday evening, September 4, 2007, following a brave seven month battle against pancreatic cancer,. Pat was born on March 17, 1933, in Appleton, Wisconsin. He served in Korea with the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. After working for Kimberly Clark Corporation for 35 years, he retired and moved to Sun City West, AZ in 1992. There he became an avid hiker and fisherman and a PRIDE member, a volunteer group that maintained the streets of the community.

    Pat was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Carmen Nabbefeld Laux; two sons, two daughters and four grandchildren: Daniel (Kris, Ellen, and Olivia) Laux, Apache Junction, AZ; Patrick "Rick" (Jean) Laux, Menasha, WI; Susan (Bob) Morro, Edgewood, NM; Sally Jo (Andy, Noah, and Eli) Goyke, Ashland, WI; six brothers and three sisters: Randy (Emily) Laux, Appleton,WI; Don (Yoko) Laux, Newark, TX; Bunny Damro, Little Chute, WI; Gordy (Lois) Laux, Prescott Valley, AZ; Dave (Judy) Laux, Menasha, WI; Joe (Pam) Laux, Summerfield, FL; Mary Murphy (Tom) Freedom WI; Kathy Fondow (Larry) Appleton, WI; John Laux, Appleton, WI; a brother-in-law Ed (Norie) Nabbefeld Tacoma, WA.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Rose (Garrity) Laux, and brother-in-law, Clifford Damro.

    Garrity, Erving R.


    Erving R. Garrity, 91, De Pere, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born April 17, 1918, in Kaukauna, to the late James and Mary (Van Enkenvort) Garrity. He married Beverly Gildernick on Aug. 6, 1942, at Old St. Joe's Catholic Church in De Pere.

    Erving farmed for many years in the town of Lawrence. He also delivered the Green Bay Press-Gazette on a rural route, and he retired as a rural carrier for the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed reading the newspaper and always kept up on his current events.

    Erving is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Beverly; two sons, William J. Garrity and Thomas E. (Joan) Garrity; grandchildren, Tina (Timothy) Garrity-Roffers, Daniel Garrity, Michael Woodworth and Connie Garrity; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Katie, Cassandra, and Rachael Micolichek, Samuel, Lillian, Ross, Jacob and Abagail Roffers, Nicholas Garrity, Alexa Woodworth-Hansen; brother, Albert J. Garrity; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Patty Garrity; daughter-in-law, Sandra A. Garrity; grandchildren, William E. Garrity and Tyrelle Woodworth; brothers, George Garrity and John Garrity; and sisters, Rose Laux, Alice Hooymen, Ethel Hagens and Marie Garrity.

    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation and the Macular Degeneration Eye Foundation.

    Family and friends may call Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a parish prayer service at 6:45 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church/ St. Clare Parish, 437 Main St., Wrightstown, from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be at the church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Cotter Funeral is assisting the family with arrangements.
