    Christensen, Henrietta A. Henrietta A. Christensen, age 85, Seymour, passed away, Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home with family by her side. She was born July 14, 1922, in De Pere, daughter of the late Antone and Wilhemina (Van Lanen) Hendricks. On May 10, 1941, she was united in marriage to Robert Christensen. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1996. Henrietta was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Oneida. She was blessed with an incredible sense of humor, and a beautiful smile that would light up the room. She enjoyed family gatherings, dining out, bingo, cooking and gambling.

    Survivors include her children: Geraldine (Richard) Hallam, Seymour; Roger (Deirdre) Christensen, Seymour; Linda (Conrad) Mikle, Oneida; Lenore Christensen and Rosalie Christensen, Seymour; Nancy (Rodney) Barkhaus, Bonduel; Bob (Sue) Christensen, Seymour; Colleen (Ronald) Urban, Bonduel; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters: Rita Boyea, De Pere; Eleanore (Dan) Gauthier, Texas; two brothers: Harold (Rose) Hendricks, Bonduel; Orville (Evelyn) Hendricks, Oneida; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Hendricks, De Pere.

    She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Christensen; a sister, Marie Peters; two brothers: Wilbert and Norbert (Reg); and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Boyea.

    Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, from 4-8, Friday, October 5, 2007, with a prayer service at 7:30 P.M., and Saturday, October 6, 2007, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oneida from 10 A.M. until services at 11 A.M. with Father Gilbert Jacobs and Deacon Jeff Hoffacker officiating.     St. John, Emil J.
    Emil J. St. John, age 80, of Kaukauna, passed away Wednesday evening, May 21, 2008. He was born May 18, 1928, to the late Fred and Louise St. John in Marquette, Michigan. Emil served with the U.S. Navy during WWII for 4 years and was stationed in the South Pacific. He moved to Kaukauna in 1952 and was employed as a stone mason for numerous contractors. Emil was an avid gardener and enjoyed wood working. Emil was proud of being a 45-year blood donor at the Community Blood Center, and in the end when he needed platelets, was very thankful for those who donated. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and a 50-year member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers.
    Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jane (VanderBloomen) St. John; four children: Val (Charlie) Fischer, Kaukauna; Tony St. John and Ann St. John, Kaukauna; Tom (Mary) St. John, Little Chute; Lee (Joy) St. John, Darboy; 12 grandchildren: Courtney (Craig) Peterson, Kara (Mike) Brochtrup, Jordan Fischer, Betsy (Nathan) Frailey, Stephanie St. John, Tommy St. John, Nick St. John, Emily (Tim) Opacich, Danny St. John, Adam VanDynHoven, Luke VanDynHoven and Isabelle St. John; brothers and sisters: Fred (Lyrel) St. John, Marquette, MI; Betty (Bob) Parks, Portage, MI; Tom St. John, Marquette, MI; and his aunt, Ferne Vermeulen. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Alma (Tony) Gazzana, West Allis; Jean VanderBloomen, Kaukauna; Joan (Joe) Lewandowski, Kimberly and Lucille Hopfensperger, Oregon; many nieces, nephews and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary (Ray) Thyssee, a niece, Martie McGrail, his uncle, Victor Vermeulen, an aunt, Gabriella (August) Merckx, his father- and mother-in-law, Fred and Louise VanderBloomen, brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd and Richard VanderBloomen, Alice (Bob) Nack, Carol (Lawrence) Van Cuyk, Jerry (Marie) VandenBloomen, Fred VanderBloomen, nephews, James VanderBloomen, Ted VanCuyk and a niece, Nan Rogers.
    The memorial funeral liturgy for Emil will be held at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, with Father Tom Pomeroy officiating and Emil's nephew, Gregg St. John, as Master of Ceremony. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass.

Joan VandenBloomen

  • Death: Joan VandenBloomen died on October 16, 2016, at age 80.
  • Note: Joan Lucy (Vander Bloomen) Lewandowski, age 80, passed away October 16th, 2016. She was born March 4th 1936 to Fred and Lucy Vander Bloomen in Kaukauna Wisconsin. She Married Joseph (Louie) Lewandowski on July 27, 1957. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2015.

    Joan graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1954 and was a full time mother for years before working for several companies which include Gimbel's, Sears, and Akrosil.

    Joan was very active in the Kimberly Homemakers for years as well as being active with Holy Name Parish. Louie and Joan worked with the Holy Name Food Closet, they delivered Meals on Wheels, visited area nursing homes, worked with Fishes and Loaves and provided rides through the Thompson Center. Joan was very involved with the American Legion as well.

    Upon retirement Louie and Joan took up traveling quite extensively. They wintered in California for years. They were able to visit Hawaii with Tom and their favorite trip was to Europe to visit Bob and Cyndi.

    Joan and Louie spent many a Saturday night having a meal at Joe and Deb's and then playing Sheepshead for hours along with Pam.

    Joan is survived by her children Pam (special friend Gene), Joe (Deb), Bob (Cyndi), and Tom (Pam), her grandchildren BJ (Jenny) Schmidt, Bill Schmidt (special friend Nicole), Joe (Michele) Lewandowski, Marc Lewandowski, Christian Lewandowski, Lauren Lewandowski, Vincent Lewandowski, and Kimberly Lewandowski; great grandchildren Kylie Lewandowski, Brodie Schmidt, Alivia Schmidt, and Kennedy Lewandowski. She is further survived by a sister Jane St. John and sister in law Jean Vander Bloomen. She is further survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

    In addition to her parents and husband Joan was preceded in death by brothers Richard, Floyd, Jerry (Marie), and Fred; sisters Alma (Tony), Lucille, Alice (Bob) and Carol (Larry).

    The family of Joan would like to thank all of the caregivers at Atrium Post Acute for their dedicated service to making Mom comfortable these last few years.

    The funeral liturgy for Joan will be on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11:00am at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 Pine Street in Little Chute with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating.
