    Age 84, died Sunday, April 29, 2001 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. Fred was born on November 7, 1916, in Menasha, to the late Frederick L. and Wilhemina (Schommer) Rohloff. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a machinist for many years. Fred is survived by his son, William (Nancy) Rohloff, Appleton; his son, Thomas (Debra) Rohloff, Stanwood,Washington; his son Mark (Julie) Rohloff, Hortonville; his son James (Lisa) Rohloff, Cannon Falls, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Dawn Rohloff (fiance Bob Nelson), Appleton; Craig (Melissa) Rohloff, Markesan; Josh Rohloff ; Brittany Rohloff; Erik Rohloff, Hortonville; Jace Rohloff and Cooper Rohloff, Cannon Falls, Minnesota; his great grandchildren, Michael, Kristi, Peter Reible, Appleton; Max Rohloff, Markesan; and Maxwell, Kelson, and Savannah Rohloff, Markesan; his brother John (Pat) Rohloff, New London; his sister-in-law, Gwen Rohloff, Neenah; his brother-in-law, Ralph Schnieder, Hales Corners; and his sister-in-law, Arlene Rohloff, Menasha,

    The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2001, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 212 Appleton Street, Menasha, Wisconsin, with Fr. Dana Pelotte officiating.

    On November 14, 2017, John D. Rohloff was called to heaven to celebrate the 65th birthday of his son, John II.

    Jack was born February 27, 1930 to Fredrick and Wilhemina (Schommer) Rohloff in Appleton, Wisconsin. He was graduated from Menasha High School in 1949. After working for the City of Menasha as an Assistant Assessor, Jack became a Journeyman Machinist at the Marathon Corporation. He also shared his knowledge in the field teaching students at Menasha Vocational School during the evening. He then advanced to the engineering department at Appleton Machine Company which later became Valmet.

    Upon Jack's retirement in 1995 he bought yet another Harley Davidson, which he continued to enjoy up until last year. He was an avid reader, gardener and community volunteer. He was a friend of Bill W., and as such, introduced generations of people to him throughout the years. On December 28, 2016, Jack earned his 50 year medallion.

    He is survived by his loving, devoted wife and best friend, Patricia M. (Blohm) Rohloff. Jack and Pat were married for 66 years and had five children: Lois Gunderson of Sherwood, Wisconsin; John D. Rohloff II (deceased); Linda (Thomas) DeBruin of Pittsburgh, PA; Andrew (Kristine) Rohloff of New London; and Patrick Rohloff of New London. He is survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings as well as his son, John II and grandson, Ben Rohloff.

    The family thanks the staff and hospice workers in the Neuro Unit at ThedaCare Neenah for their care, comfort and support of Jack and his family. They are truly angels without wings.

    Funeral mass for Jack will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London with Fr. John. Kleinschmidt officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Appleton Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.

Winifred Margaret Lynch

  • Death: Winifred Margaret Lynch died on May 2, 2001, at age 97, in Menasha, Winnebago Co, Wisconsin.
  • Burial: She was buried in St John Cemetery, Little Chute, Wisconsin, New/3/47E.
  • Note: Formerly of Kimberly, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at a local nursing center at the age of 97. Winifred was born in New Richmond, Wisconsin on June 18, 1903, daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Davin) Lynch. She graduated from New Richmond High School in 1921 as well as from River Falls State Teachers College. She attended summer school at the University of Minnesota and the University of Colorado - Boulder. Win taught English in Taylor and Marathon, Wisconsin prior to coming to the Kimberly High School in 1927. She taught until her marriage to John Gerritts on December 27, 1938. In 1956 she returned to Kimberly High School and later became and elementary school librarian in 1960. John preceded her in death on May 14, 1961, and in 1969, Win retired. Her interests included gardening, reading, travel, and genealogy. Above all, she was a social creature whose life revolved around her family and her many dear friends.

    They include her son: Richard Gerritts of Minocqua; three daughters: Doris (Robert) Vander Loop of Henderson, Nevada; Judy (Donald) Canter of San Francisco; Mary (Charles) Stusek of Oshkosh; nine grandchildren: Robin Nazzarro, Douglas Gerritts, Fr. John Gerritts, Jack Vander Loop, Judy Turnquist, Robert Vander Loop, Lisa Vander Loop, David Vander Loop, and Daniel Vander Loop. She is further survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as by two sisters: Agnes (Donald) Murphy of Scottsdale, Arizona and Elizabeth Heimel of St. Paul, Minnesota. Win also leaves behind many dear friends and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband John, a sister Charlotte, a brother Joseph, a grandson James Vander Loop, and a daughter-in-law Gladys Gerritts.

    The memorial funeral liturgy for Win will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, May 4, 2001 at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, with Win’s grandson, Fr. John Gerritts officiating. Inurnment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. The family will receive family and friends directly at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the liturgy.

    See, Bonnie
    Bonnie See, Appleton, 64, was called Home to Heaven with her family at her side on Thursday, March 27, 2008. She was born Oct. 30, 1943, in Brillion, the daughter of the late Carl and Emma (Mertz) Kalies. On May 30, 1965, she married Allen See in Wayside, Wis. Bonnie was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a great supporter of the Circle of Hope Foundation. She loved collecting lighthouses, watching "America Idol" and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Bonnie was a breast cancer survivor for the past six years.
    She is survived by her husband, Al See, Appleton; two daughters, Kim (Chuck) Lieffring, Appleton; and Darcey (Chad) Krowas, Appleton; four grandchildren, Christian Lieffring, Ciara, Dayton and Pierce Krowas; three brothers and five sisters, Ralph Kalies, Appleton; Elroy (Marlene) Kalies, Fremont; Doris (Donald) Olp, Manitowoc; Betty (Pete) Zarnoth, Brillion; Shirley (Eugene) Jandrey, Reedsville; Virginia (Allie) Ziemer, Reedsville; Nancy (Norm) Raatz, Appleton and Carl, Jr. (Beverly) Kalies, New London; and sister-in-law, Janet Kalies, Brillion. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive Bonnie.
    Her parents, a brother, Lloyd Kalies; and sister-in-law, Elaine Kalies, preceded her in death.
    The funeral service for Bonnie will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 601 E. Glendale Avenue, Appleton, with the Rev. Daniel Thews officiating. Entombment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. The visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri-County Chapel and again at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
    The family would like to thank the many relatives, friends and neighbors for all the support, meals and prayers offered during Bonnie's illness. Thank you to the staff of Appleton Medical Center — Oncology/Radiation Therapy department for the care and close attention they provided for the past 6 years. A special thank you to the ER and ICU staff that assisted in her care preceding her death.

  • Death: Doris M Gerritts died on May 18, 2012, at age 80, in Henderson, Clark Co, Nevada.
  • Note: Doris Vander Loop passed away on May 18, 2012. She was born in Marinette, WI to John R. Gerritts and Grace (Cummings) Gerritts on September 19, 1931. Her mother died when she was three years old. Doris and her older brother Richard were raised by Winifred Gerritts, her beloved stepmother who gave her two little sisters. Doris graduated from Kimberly High School in 1949 and attended Saint Kate's College. Doris married Robert A. Vander Loop on November 27, 1952 at Holy Name Church in Kimberly. They were married for 54 years until Robert's death in 2007. Bob and Doris moved to Azusa, CA in 1960 and raised their children there. Doris was involved in all things that her kids were involved in - Girls Scouts, Cub Scouts, Little League. Doris loved being a mother. Bob and Doris moved to Henderson, NV to enjoy their Golden Years. Doris died in Henderson, NV one week after her son Robbie's death. Doris is survived by her sons John, David and Daniel Vander Loop and her daughters Judy Turnquist and Lisa Aker, her two sister Judy Canter and Mary Stusek, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her sons James and Robbie and her brother Richard. She was a loving caregiver to her son Robbie for many years. She will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed. Her service will be June 2, 2012 at 11:30 at Forest Lawn, 21300 Via Verde Drive, Covina, CA. 91724.

He is survived by his loving daughter Nichole Henn who was at his side, her husband Tyler & his grandsons Kaiden, Cash & Zachary. His sisters Judy Turnquist, Lisa Aker, brothers Daniel, David & John Vander Loop & many nieces & nephews. Robbie grew up in Azusa & moved to Henderson, Nevada. Robbie was a very special person.
