  • Note: Romenesko, Ralph Leo 2002 The Chronicle Newspaper dated March 27th, 2002, Ralph Leo "Pete" Romenesko, Chehalis resident Ralph Leo Pete Romenesko died at the age of 86 Saturday, March 23rd, in Chehalis. Romenesko was born September 26th, 1915, at Elbe to Fred and Anna (McCarthy) Romenesko and lived in Chehalis for 25 years. He had also lived in Boistfirt and Adna. A Morton high-school graduate, he had also attended Mineral schools. Romenesko worked for Weyerhaeuser Corp. for 36 years as storeroom manager at Camp McDonald and later in Pe Ell. A member of Jehovah's Witnesses, he was a Bible teacher and enjoyed doing Bible work. He also enjoyed steelhead fishing. On June 22nd, 1940, he married Francis Peters in Morton. His wife survivors him at home. Also surviving are two daughters, Louise Voie of Centralia, and Jerene Heay od Olympia; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Memorials may be donations to Visiting Nurses Foundation, Chehalis Washington and. Arrangements are under the direction of Fir Lawn Funeral chapel Toledo. A service for Ralph Leo "Pete" Romenesko will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Chehalis Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's witnesses with Tom Raymor officiating.

  • Note: Ryan, Malachi 1942 Appleton Post Crescent dated 112/7/1942; Malachi Ryan, 79, Succumbs - University Honored him for Agricultural Achievements in '31 Malachi Ryan, 79, 405 W. Seventh St., Kaukauna, died at 4:40 this morning at his home after a 12 week illness. Born Dec. 17, 1862, in the town of Buchanan, he lived there as a farmer most of his life. As Combined Locks village president, he was a member of the Outagamie county board of supervisors from 1925 to 1933. A former member of the county agricultural committee, he was one of five persons honored in 1931 by the University of Wisconsin for outstanding work in agriculture and home-making fields. He received a certificate of recognition at the Universitys Farm and Home Week. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Kaukauna, and the Holy Name Society at St. Mary church, Kaukauna. Mr. Ryan retired about a year ago and moved to Kaukauna. Survivors are one brother, Judge Thomas H. Ryan, Appleton; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Harney, Cloquette, Minn.; Mrs. Ellen Cripps, Kaukauna; Miss Winifred Ryan, Kaukauna. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 Wednesday morning at the St. Mary church, Kaukauna, with the Rev. Alphonse Roder in charge. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

  • Note: Bradley S. "Buford" Menting, age 47 of Kimberly, passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2015 at his home. Buford was born on September 10, 1968, the younger of two boys, to Joan (Nickel) Menting and the late Dennis Menting. Buford was a 1987 graduate of Kimberly High School. He was a former employee of Butch's Pizza, J.J. Security and most recently at Menard's in Appleton. Buford enjoyed family gatherings, working on his computer and playing computer and video games. He had a soft spot for kids and was always thrilled when the "Little Ones" would visit.

    He will be sadly missed by his mother Joan, his brother and sister-in-law Bryan and Louisa Menting of Appleton, nieces: Nicole (Eric) Vaughan of Appleton; Kathleen (fiancé Zak Bartotto) Menting of Oshkosh, nephew Michael J. Menting of Appleton, great niece and great nephews: Hailee, Domenic and Zander as well as many other relatives and friends. He was also looking forward to the arrival of a new great niece and great nephew in April.

    He was preceded in death by his father Dennis Menting and his grandparents: Edson and Eunice Nickel and John and Helen Menting.

    Services for Buford will be on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 6:00pm at Jansen Fargo Funeral Home of Kimberly with the Rev. Adam Bode officiating.
