    Marion, age 83, passed away unexpectedly on April 19, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Marion was born on Oct. 3, 1931 in Appleton WI to the late Clement and Lucille (Kersten) Nabbefeld. She graduated from Appleton High School in June, 1949. She married the love of her life Marvin Schimmelpfenning on March 15, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton WI. Marion worked at Zwicker Knitting Mills during the early years of their marriage, then stayed home to raise her children for a number of years. When Marion's children were a little older she started working again at Kirby Vacuum Cleaners and then moved on to Town and Country Electric (currently Faith Technologies) for almost 25 years. Marion retired from Town and Country Electric in 1994.

    Marion loved family gatherings, especially Christmas Eve with her beautifully decorated Christmas tree and celebrating everyone's birthdays, as well as an avid baker with many specialties, including baking cookies for Marv. Marion loved the outdoors; she camped, ice skated, roller skated, and cross country skied and in recent years walked about 5 miles a day. She loved traveling with Marv and kept journals of all their trips so they could refer back to them when memory failed them or to settle a dispute. She loved to spend time playing cards with family and friends. She was a square dancer and listened to many audio books.

    Marion is survived by her husband, Marvin Schimmelpfenning; daughter Dawn (Rod Maccoux) Fisher, Appleton; sons Jerry (Barb) Schimmelpfenning, Appleton and Ron (Mary Leaf) Schimmelpfenning, Winona MN. Grandchildren; Aaron Fisher, Ben Schimmelpfenning, Rachel (Joshua) Byram and great-grandchildren; Joshua Jr., Brayden, Kaleb and Annabel Byram. Also survived by sister-in-laws; Lynn Malonee, Lorraine Nabbefeld, Ruth (Charlie) Ziegler, Doris Handler and other nieces and nephews and friends.

    She is preceded in death by her parents, Clement and Lucille Nabbefeld, 3 brothers, Robert, Arthur and Thomas, grandson Jason Fisher and son-in-law Jim Fisher. In-laws, Ernest and Mabel Schimmelpfenning. Brothers-in-law Norman (Lorraine) Schimmelpfenning, Earl (Dona) Schimmelpfenning, Raymond Handler and Raymond Hertzfeld. And so many others that had an impact on her life.

    A Memorial service for Marion will be held at 7:00PM, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St, Appleton. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5:30PM until the time of service at the funeral home.

    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marion's name.

    The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Emergency Room staff at AMC and to the nurses in the ICU and on the 5th floor at ThedaClark Hospital.

    Infant Dies On Trip

    Respiratory Illness Cause of Death For Kaukauna Child

    Jean Ann Kerry, 14-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Kerry, 808 Lawe St., Kaukauna, died unexpectedly Sunday morning of a respiratory illness. A Seymour physician pronounced the child dead.

    Outagamie County Coroner Bernard H. Kemps said the child had been with her family at a summer trailer home near Mountain. Mrs. Kerry said the child appeared ill, so they began driving home about 6:45 a.m. Sunday.

    The child became limp, and the family stopped at a Seymour doctor's office where the child was pronounced dead.

    She is survived by her parents, one sister and a grandmother. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Church, Kaukauna, with interment in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday at Fargo Funeral home.

    JOSEPH KERRY DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

    Was Lifetime Resident; Employee of Thilmany Paper Company for 36 Years

    Joseph Kerry, 61, 804 Lawe street, a lifelong Kaukauna resident, died at his home at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon following an illness of seven months.

    Born here December 14, 1885, he attended Holy Cross school and was a member of the Holy Cross church. For the past 36 years he was employed by the Thilmany Pulp and Paper company as a carpenter and in later years as a construction superintendent.

    Survivors are his wife; four sons, Melvin, Michigan City, Indiana, Robert, Little Chute, and Jack and Arthur, Kaukauna; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Rothe, Appleton; Mrs. Barbara Gruber, Indianapolis, Indiana; and Miss Marie Kerry and Mrs. Fred Wittmann, Kaukauna, and two grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning at the Holy Cross church, the cortege forming at 10:30 at the Kerry home, 804 Lawe street. The Rev. Andrew Quella will be in charge. Burial will be in the Holy Cross cemetery. Friends may call at the Kerry home.

    Services Today For Mrs. Kerry

    Mrs. Joseph Kerry, the former Marie (Mayme) Gustman of 804 Lawe Street, died Saturday evening following a long illness. She was 83.

    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Bergatadt officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

    Mrs. Kerry was born February 8, 1893 in Kaukauna and lived here all her life. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and St. Ann's Court No. 226, National Catholic Society of Foresters.

    Survivors are three sons, Arthur and Robert, both of Kaukauna, and Jack of Shawano; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Melvin (Ruth) Kerry of Green Bay; a brother, Arthur Gustman of Kaukauna; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; a son, Melvin; and a sister, Elizabeth Hoffman.

    The Fargo Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

    Bambery, Mary V. Mary Bambery, Kaukauna, passed away peacefully at St. Paul Home on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at the age of 95. She was born in Kaukauna on Jan. 29, 1912, daughter of the late Peter and Emma (Green) Renn. Mary wed James Bambery on April 21, 1944, in Kaukauna; he preceded her in death in 1990. Mary attended Lawrence College, worked for the Kaukauna Hotel, the newspaper, and for the Kaukauna School District for many years. She taught knitting and sewing classes and was an accomplished clothing seamstress. Mary was also a lifelong member of Holy Cross Parish, and was active in her community. Her great sense of humor was a source of joy for those who knew her.

    She will be missed by her three daughters: Kathryn (Glenn) Smith of Oklahoma City; Jane Bambery Sexton of New London; and Margaret Bambery Hickman of Prescott, Ariz.; six grandchildren: Jenny Jolin Merritt, Sam Jolin, David and Andrew Sexton, Ian and Leah Hickman, and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her step-daughter Joann (Clyde) Jenkins of Appleton; and by her sister Gertrude Cross Hansen of Shelton, Washington. Mary is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

    A memorial service for Mary will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2007, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Friends may call at the church on Monday morning, from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of the mass. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial funds be directed to 1000 Islands Environmental Center.

    The family would like to extend their deep appreciation and thanks to the nursing staff of Poppy Path at St. Paul Home for their loving and compassionate care of Mary. Thanks also to Mary's special friend, Jane Giordana.
