  • Note: Antoinette "Toni" M. Vander Loop, 98, Green Bay, formerly of the Town of Eaton, died peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, with her family at her side, after a short illness. She was born on Sept. 3, 1914 in DePere to the late Frank and Anna (Vercauteren) Van Bogart. On May 18, 1937 she married George T. Vander Loop at St. Mary's Catholic Church in De Pere. He preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1992.

    Toni was proud of the fact that she went through 12 years of school without missing a day. She was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church for many years. Toni loved word searches, playing bingo and puzzle books. She was known for making homemade bread and canning food for her family. Toni had an extra sharp memory right up until the time of her death.

    Survivors include her nine children: Sister George Antoinette, Colorado; Dorothy (Don) Konop, Two Rivers; Ken (Suzy) Vander Loop, Green Bay; Harold (Joann) Vander Loop, Denmark; Cy (Marg) Vander Loop, Minnesota; Ed (Sally) Vander Loop, Pennsylvania; Ralph (Lynn) Vander Loop, Marshall, WI; Mary (Mark) Treichel, Denmark; Dan (Pam) Vander Loop, Green Bay; 25 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; her sister, Agnes Peters, DePere; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

    In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sister Francis Borgia, SSND and Frances Peters; one brother, Joseph Van Bogart; and one daughter-in-law, Diane Vander Loop.

    Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Sunday from 4 to 8 pm. Parish Wake Service at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Monday at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 312 Victoria St. from 9 to 10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Monday at the church with Rev. William O'Brien officiating. Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Online condolences may be sent to the Vander Loop family at www.prokowall.com.

    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established in Toni's name.

  • Note: Obit. De Pere Journal Democrat 11-19-1981 Anna Coenen, route 2, died Thursday afternoon in a Green Bay hospital after a short illness. She was born in the town of Rockland, a daughter of the late John P. and Nellie Hendricks Coe nen. She was a member of the Christian Ladies society of St. Mary church, the Daughters of Is abella, the Third Order of St. Norbert and was an active member of the St. Mary Refund club. Survivors are two brothers, Edward and Lawrence and two sisters Agnes and Mrs. Lawrence (Nett ie) Van Deurzen, all of De Pere; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister and on sister-in-law. Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Mary church. The Rev. Ron Hopfensperger offi ciated and burial was in Mount Olivet cemetery with Ryan Funeral Home handling arrangements.

  • Note: Antoinette (Nettie) Van Deurzen, 91, former Town of Rockland resident, died Thursday afternoon Nov. 20, 2003, at a local nursing home. The daughter of John F. and Nellie (Hendricks) Coenen was born June 5, 1912, in the Town of Rockland. Nettie married Lawrence Van Deurzen April 14, 1942, at St. Mary Catholic Church, De Pere. Nettie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, De Pere and the Christian Ladies Society. She was a member of the Rock n' Rite Homemakers. Nettie loved to garden and bake. She greatly enjoyed helping children and helped at the Notre Dame Elementary School Library.

    Survivors include her children, Don and Ev Van Duerzen, De Pere; Sr. Marie Rose (Janet), Manawa; Mary and Ron Van Dyck, John and Barb Van Deurzen, Tom and Vickie Van Deurzen, all of De Pere; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Regina Coenen, De Pere; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; a grandson, Ricky; a great-granddaughter, Laura; three brothers, Peter, Edward and Lawrence; three sisters, Anna, Dora, Agnes; along with several in-laws.

    Friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, from 4 until 8 p.m. Sunday. Prayer service 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Visitation will continue at 9:30 Monday at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John XXIII Circle, off Sportsmans Dr., Town of Ledgeview until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 Monday at the church with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
