  • Note: Mary Ann (Tornow) Morack, age 78, Hortonville was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 7, 2015, after a brief illness. She was born on November 21, 1936, daughter of the late Clarence and Lillian (Lamp) Tornow. On June 5, 1959, she was united in marriage to Norbert Morack. She worked at Aid Association for Lutherans, various hospitals and St. Joseph Residence as a Nursing Assistant. Mary was baptized and confirmed Lutheran. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Hortonville where she was involved in the Ladies Aid, taught Sunday school, Lutheran Girl Pioneers, was a 4-H leader, as well as a parent helper and chaperoned many field trips. Mary and Norbert fostered children for 12 years. She loved playing cards, fishing, especially at Rolling Stone Lake every June 5th, taking care of flowers and birds. The love of her life was her family, she loved being anywhere that she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    Mary is survived by her husband Norbert, three daughters and sons-in law, 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren: Debbie and Joe Jensen, their children: Brittany (Tyler) Ernst, Brad (Renee) Jensen, MyKayla, Morgann and Emilee Jensen, Barb and Jeff Parker and their children and grandchild, Katye (Jared) and Shaylee Olk, Travis and Whitney Parker. Linda and Tom Lambie and their children and grandchild, Brent, Andrew (Ashley) and Bryce, Levi, and Megan Lambie. A son Daniel, brother in-law Glen (Ann) Morack, David (Linda) Morack, sisters in-law, Carol (Jerry) Ort and Donna Morack

    She is further survived by numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, infant grandson Nicholas, father and mother in-law, Walter Sr. and Alice Morack, brother in-law, Walter Morack Jr., sister in-law Elaine Morack.

    Funeral services for Mary will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Hortonville with Rev. Joel Jenswold officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Mosquito Hill Cemetery, Town of Liberty.

    The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at St. Joseph Residence and The Bridges of Appleton. The family would also like to thank Pastors Joel Jenswold, Ralph Rosenberg, and Paul Zietlow for their pastoral care.

  • Note: Eraldene L. “Geri” Van Drunen, 86, of Kimberly, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. She was born in Kimberly on March 23, 1929, daughter of the late Adrian and Jennie (Stuyvenberg) Van Drunen. She graduated from Kimberly High School, Class of 1947. After high school, she attended St. Catherine College (Dominican College) and became a sister with the Racine Dominicans for several years. She taught grade school at the time and then later in life was a secretary for Kimberly Clark.

    Geri was an active member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Appleton. Over the years, she attended over 50 retreats at the Jesuit Retreat House in Oshkosh. Geri volunteered for over 25 years at St. Elizabeth Hospital doing crafts. She was a long time member of the National Catholic Order of Foresters. Geri enjoyed her casino trips and evenings out with her friends. She was an animal lover, and had 6 dogs over her lifetime.

    Geri is survived by her brother, Richard “Rick” Van Drunen; sisters-in-law: Delores and Betty Van Drunen; nieces: Susan Gelling and Patricia (Jeff) Wildenberg; great niece, Ashley (Josh) Zorn; great-great nephews: Owen and Hudson Zorn; and many cousins and their families in Holland.

    Geri was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Vincent Van Drunen and John Van Drunen, and several special friends.

    Per Geri’s wishes, a private family burial will take place at Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly.

    The Van Drunen family would like to extend a special thank you to Fr. Gerald Faulk for his many visits and kindness, to Nurse Tracy with Affinity Visiting Nurses for her home visits and her compassionate spirit, to Dr. Brian Scott and his staff for the many years of great care, to Geri’s special friends for the many years of wonderful friendship, and to her neighbors, especially Lennie and Ellen Opsteen and their son Christopher, for always lending a helping hand when needed.

    Age 72, was called to the Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Josie was born on April 26, 1933, in Kimberly, WI, daughter of the late George and Ann Jansen. She was a long time employee of St. Elizabeth Hospital where she worked in food service. Josie volunteered her time at the Community Outreach Center, Oneida Heights and the Thompson Community Center. She loved to play bingo wherever and whenever she had the chance. Josie also enjoyed doll collecting and spending time with her friends and grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Donald (fiancé, Carla); Barbara Haveman; Sharon Weber; Lori Weber; Steve (Chris); Carolyn Weber; Michael (Heather); 14 grandchildren: Mitch and Marissa; Mike, Cindy and Nicholas; Doug, Dan and Derrick; Bradley and Johnathon; Zach, Kassidy and Tyler; Genevieve; her brother, Henry Jansen and sister, Harriet Hartsworm. Josie was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Norbert Weber and an infant daughter, Dianna Lynn Weber. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 24, 2005, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 23 from 4 until 7 p.m. and again at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. The family wishes to the thank the ICU staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital; Bill; Dennis; Art; Jaun; Brian; Sharon Peters; Rita, Pauline and Edna Weber and all of the extended family for their care and support.
