    Kern, Rose M. "Rosie"


    Rose M. Kern "Rosie", age 86, of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at the home of Mary and Ken Williamson, surrounded by many loving family members, filling her days with comfort and companionship. She was born on September 22, 1922, daughter of the late George and Anna (Hooyman) Kern. Rose was employed at Rich's Products for many years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. Rose loved baking, crocheting, knitting, gardening and fishing. She especially loved visiting and playing cards with her family and special friends.

    Rose is survived by her nieces and nephews: Earl Grelson, Dave (MaryAnn) Neubert, Barb (David) Essler, Darlene (Roger) Reinke, Mary (Ken) Williamson, Diane (Daryl) Starfeldt, Patti (Gary) Skiba, Gary (Teri) Neubert, Carol Klesmit, Sheri (Dan) Rettler, Tom (Bev) Neubert, Sandy Ulmen, Julie Priebe and Terry Neubert. She is further survived by the Rausch family, Lester and Mary Morris, Cedella Schmidt, Helen and Ralph Goffard and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Rosie also wanted to remember her special helpers, Brent and Caity Williamson.

    She was preceded in death by a brother, Francis, sisters and brothers-in-law: Cecilia (Russell) Neubert and Agnes (Eben) Neubert, nieces: Joan Grelson and Donna (Ken) Schwister and a nephew, Ronald Neubert.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2009, at St. Therese Catholic Church, with Fr. William Hoffman presiding. Interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Valley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m., visitation will continue on Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass.

    Rosie's family would like to extend a special thank you to ThedaCare at Home Hospice and to all those who filled her final days with comfort, joy and companionship. Rosie, you were an example to everyone you met, and example of hard work and honest values. You never had a judgmental word to say about anyone or anything. The fondest memories each of us holds will remain in our hearts forever. We will miss your kind heart and gentle spirit. We will remember you with smiles, not tears, happiness, not sorrow. But most of all, will remember you with love.

  • Note: Grace L. Archambeau Appleton Age 95 passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2000, at Franciscan Care Center in Appleton after a short illness. She was born on September 21, 1904, in Darboy, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Ernest and Anna (Lehicker) Luniak. She was employed by Tuttle Press for 25 years, and owned and operated Happy Hollow Resort on Roberts Lake for over 40 years. Grace loved the lake and met many people she enjoyed talking with and became friends with over the years. Grace was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Appleton and a former member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Wabeno. Survivors include her sister, Theresa Behling of Kimberly, and four generations of nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents her husband, Ray "Shorty" her brothers, Bill, Michael, Joseph, John, Tony, Henry and Edward her sisters, Elizabeth, Mary, Lena, Annie and Clara and her friend, Gus Ruechl. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 19, 2000, at 11 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Morrison Street with the Reverend Daniel Gilsdorf officiating. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass. A memorial fund is being established. She was born January 17, 1912, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Horvath) Micholic. Mary's family was the most important thing to her. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly.

    Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mary Pat Revoir, Kimberly a grandson, Scott (Jenny) Revoir and a granddaughter, Cheri (Jerry) VerVoort, all of Kimberly, six great-grandchildren, Josh, Sam and Emily Revoir Abby, Jake and Max VerVoort three sisters and a brother-in-law, Helen Emmers, Margaret Grishaber, both Appleton Dolores (Eugene) Delcore, Kaukauna numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Roland "Fritz" Revoir a brother and sister-in-law, Paul (Mildred) Micholic a sister and brother-in-law, Ann (Arthur) Engel two brothers-in-law, Mark Emmers and Arnold Grishaber. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly, with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church from 2:30 p.m. Thursday until the time of services. There will be no visitation at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna.

  • Note: Louise Ursula McMahon, age 89, of Kaukauna, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012, following a long illness. Louise was born on August 3, 1922, in DePere, to the late Henry James and Rose (Le Mere) Rupiper. She married John J. McMahon on March 1, 1954, in Kaukauna; he preceded her in death on January 19, 1999. Louise proudly served her country in the United States Air Corp during World War II. She was known as the family historian and enjoyed passing on stories to the youngsters at family gatherings. Louise also enjoyed sewing and puzzles, especially Word Search. For many years she was a seamstress for area firms. Survivors include her children, Ronald Leslie (special friend, Shirley) Monarch; Donald James (Julie) Monarch; Linda Louise McMahon; Timothy John (Doris) McMahon; Thomas James McMahon; Mary Margaret (Jim) McMahon-Bullis; her sister, Margaret Beyer; her sister-in-law, Doris Rupiper; and her dear family friend, Sue Vanderloop. She is further survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Louise was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia McMahon; her brothers and sisters, Arnold (Virginia) Rupiper, John (Myrtle) Rupiper, Rose Vander Zanden, Richard Rupiper, Alvin Rupiper, Joseph (Cecile) Rupiper, Marie (John) Kamps, and Donald Rupiper. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH—ST. ALOYSIUS CHURCH, 2401 Main Avenue, Kaukauna. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Kaukauna, on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna, and Military Honors will be observed at graveside.
