    New London - Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Bear Creek, for Chester S. Balthazor, 59, who died at New London Community Hospital at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. He had lived at Rt.1, Bear Creek and farmed in Bear Creek all his life. .


    He was born June 24, 1904, in Maple Creek and married the former Catherine Peeters on Nov. 12, 1930 at Bear Creek. Mr. Balthazor belonged to St. Mary Holy Name Society, Bear Creek..


    Cline and Hanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, and rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the parish cemetery..


    Survivors include his widow; five daughters, Mrs. Lauren Spoehr, Shiocton, Mrs. Earl Thoma, North Brook, Ill., Mrs. Carlton Heideman, New London, Mrs. Keith Leeman, and Mrs. Nelson Greely, both of Appleton; two sons, Ervin, Appleton, and Pfc. Clement Balthazor, Fort Ord., Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Zoea Weid, Neenah and Mrs. Eugene Besesette, New London, and 17 grandchildren..

    Weyers, Diana L. Diana L. Weyers, 60, Green Bay, died peacefully at home on Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, surrounded by family after a courageous 10-year battle with cancer. She was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 28, 1946, to the late Ralph A. and Millie (Powalicz) Mathias Sarnowski. After high school, Diana attended UW-Oshkosh and then moved to Green Bay. She married Thomas G. Weyers on June 6, 1970, in Milwaukee. Diana was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church. She and Tom were involved in Green Bay Marriage Encounter for many years. She enjoyed crafts, scrapbooking, gardening and bird watching. She also liked singing, reading, dancing, bowling and playing cards. Family vacations, playing with her grandkids and caring for her pets were other activities Diana enjoyed. Her giving spirit and loving smile were shared with everyone she met. Diana is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Tom; daughters, Kelly (Steve) Huntley and Julie Weyers, all of Green Bay; sisters, Patricia (Joe) Frias, Arlington, Texas and Mary Jane Gossett, Appleton; three grandsons, Isaac, Aaron and Elin; a granddaughter, Emma; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Doris) Weyers, Pat (Dick) Paulik, Joan Mielke, Kathy (Jim) Lawniczak, Lyle (Jeanne) Weyers, Lois Horsens, Ann (Jim) Timmers, Sr. Margie Weyers, Theresa (Tom) Hannah, Steve (Paula) Weyers; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, Ralph and Erika Sarnowski, Diana was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Sarnowski, Jr.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anthony and Theodora Weyers; four brothers-in-law, Russ Mielke, Michael Vieau, Kevan Horsens and Bimbo Weyers. Gathering time with family and friends will be held on Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Schauer & Schumacher Funeral Home, 340 South Monroe Avenue, with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 413 St. John Street, from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. Interment in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.     Joe was a 1975 graduate of Seymour High School and a 1979 graduate from St. Norbert College in De Pere. He retired from U.W. Oshkosh in 2013 where he was Director of the University Books & More and Director of Parking Services. Joe said, "He was the most hated man on campus!"

    He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Blohm, Oshkosh; parents, Alvin and Florine Blohm, Seymour; sisters: Judy Blohm, Mary (Jeff) Skinkis, Marsha Vande Hei; brothers: Mike (Mary) Blohm, Mark Blohm, Jim (Cory) Blohm, Matt (Deb) Blohm, all of Seymour; John Blohm (special friend Candy Webster), Green Bay; many nieces and nephews.

    Preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Paul Vande Hei.

    Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. and will continue at St. John's Catholic Church, Seymour on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Fr.
