    Kaukauna

    Age 84, died unexpectedly on Sunday February 23, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. Al was born July 8, 1918 to the late August and Lydia (Fleming) Wuyts in Kaukauna, WI. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, having served in the Pacific Theatre. On October 28, 1939 he married the former Louise Seif at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Al worked at Thilmany Pulp and Paper retiring in 1981 after 45 years of service. He was well known for his superior craftsmanship and his skills in his home woodworking shop. Al was a member of Peace United Methodist Church, the VFW Post 3319 and AARP. He was generous with his time and finances in supporting the Kaukauna Community. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Louise Wuyts his brothers and sisters, Emma Terry, Bertha Zahn and Florence (Leo) Blair all of Kaukauna, Carl Wuyts of Henderson NV, Jack (Berniece) Wuyts and Robert (Aureta) Wuyts both of Kaukauna and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Rademacher, a brother, Harold Wuyts and many nieces and nephews.The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at Peace United Methodist Church, 2300 Wisconsin Avenue, Kaukauna with Rev. Diane Rew-Gottfried officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends will be received on Wednesday at Church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Full military rites will follow services at church, conducted by VFW Post 3319. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family, 766-2099. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his name."

    Siewert, Florence F.


    Florence F. (Seif) Siewert, Appleton, age 86, passed away at Appleton Health Care Center on Thursday, July 30, 2009. She was born in Hortonville on December 6, 1922, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Habel) Seif. Florence graduated from Hortonville High School in 1941. On August 1, 1942, she married her husband of 49 years, Howard Siewert. He preceded her in death in 1991. Flo, as she was known to many, worked for Zaugs in the lunch program at Appleton Public Schools, from 1965 until her retirement in 1996, 25 of those years at Appleton East. Many summers were spent working at the War Birds Cafe at E.A.A. Florence loved to dance, travel, and shop. Her grandchildren will always remember shopping trips with Grandma and going out to lunch. Holidays with her family were very special to Florence, especially Christmas.

    Florence is survived by two sons: Terry (Carmen) Siewert and Randy (Carol) Siewert, both of Appleton; six grandchildren: Scott (Carrie) Siewert, Deanna Siewert, Heather (Paul) Mueller, Jason Siewert, Jennifer (Pat) Salm and Travis (fiance, Miranda Lyman) Siewert; four great-grandchildren: Joshua and Allison Siewert, and Ben and Cody Mueller; brother, Claude Seif; two sisters-in-law: Mary and Ellie Seif; very special friend, Louise Roy; and several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her husband Howard; her parents; four brothers: Earl, Nolan, Melvin and Joe; three sisters: Madlyn (Harry) Redzinski, Louise (Al) Wuyts and Bernice (Kenneth) Cottreill.

    The funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2009, at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W. Marquette St., Appleton, with Fr. Thomas J. Farrell officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the liturgy. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.

    The family extends a special thank you to the staffs at Fresenius Dialysis Services, Appleton Retirement Community and Appleton Health Care Center.

    A memorial fund in Florence's name is being established.

    Verbrick, Dennis E. Dennis E. Verbrick, 68, of De Pere, passed away Monday, April 16, 2007, peacefully at home. Dennis was born January 27, 1939, in Appleton. He was the son of the late Edward and Evelyn (Huss) Verbrick. He was a 1961 graduate of St. Norbert College and served in the U.S. Army. Dennis married Sheila Trettin on November 16th, 1961, at Sacred Heart Church in Appleton. He was employed at IBM Corporation for 28 years, retiring in 1991. He worked most recently at Streu's Pharmacy. Dennis enjoyed his yard, grilling, the Packers and watching sporting events. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

    He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sheila, De Pere; three children: Michael Verbrick, Minneapolis, and his children, Gemma and Piper and their mother Kelly; Vicci Daniels (fiance Michael Gaestel), Green Bay, and her children, Ben and Will; Melissa Zielke (Jeremy), Madison, and their daughter Olivia; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Trettin, Sherwood and Peggy (Mark) Casey, Kaukauna; nieces, nephews; other relatives and special friends Brian and Mary Thomson.

    Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Thomas Trettin.

    In addition to her parents, Vicci was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herbert and Alyce Trettin; Edward and Evelyn Verbrick; and her uncle, Thomas Trettin.

    As an organ, tissue, and eye donor, Vicci's last act of kindness was to give the most precious gift anyone could give, the gift of life.

    A Memorial Gathering will be held at Proko-Wall Funeral Home 1630 E. Mason Street in Green Bay on Friday, November 24 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. The Gathering will continue from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1307 Lourdes Ave. in De Pere.
