  • Birth: Laurie Marie LeNoble was born on April 21, 1964.
  • Death: She died on January 29, 2014, at age 49.
  • Note: Laurie (LeNoble) Hammen from Little Chute died unexpectedly on January 29, 2014. Laurie was born on April 21, 1964. Laurie was raised in Little Chute, where she graduated from Little Chute High School. She then met her husband Tim Hammen. Laurie and Tim married on November 8, 1985, they had a daughter on March 8, 1990 named Stephanie. Laurie and Tim later divorced after an 18 year marriage but still remained friends. Laurie was a hard worker she was always willing to give it her all. She loved to cook and was great at it. At all the family gatherings she was always making the meals and cleaning up the mess. Laurie was an amazing singer she loved to sing, one of her favorites to sing was The Rose. Laurie enjoyed to fish. Laurie and Tim would make the best Friday fish fries a family could ask for which made great family memories. Laurie was a supervisor at W.O.W. for over 15 years. She took pride in her work, many people said she was their favorite supervisor. Laurie later had a daughter McKayla on June 27, 2002. Laurie is survived by Tim Hammen, her daughters, Stephanie and McKayla; mother, Darla LeNoble; sisters, Lynn (Roger) Fleishman, Tracy (Andy) Nehr, Tammy (Paul) Dunsmore, brothers, Alan (Terry) LeNoble, Don (Anita) LeNoble, Dan (Linda) LeNoble, Kevin (Tracy) LeNoble, also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald J. LeNoble, grandmother, Adriana, grandfather, Francis LeNoble, grandfather, Austin Hietpas, grandmother Myrtle Hietpas.

    Funeral Services will be held at St. John's rectory 323 S. Pine Street Little Chute on Feb. 22, 2014. Visitation is from 9:30-11:00, service at 11:00.

  • Note: Todd G. Verbruggen, Kaukauna, age 55, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 15, 2013. He was born in Appleton on August 28, 1957 to John and Elizabeth "Betty" (Ebben) Verbruggen. Todd married Connie Gietman on September 16, 1989 at St. Paul's Parish, Combined Locks. His love for her was truly immeasurable. Together, they had two beautiful children, Kaitlyn and Peter, of whom Todd was most proud.Todd was a perfect gentleman. He always thought of others first and made everyone feel special. Todd loved spending time with his family and friends, especially boating with them on the Todd-Tanic. He enjoyed tending to and spending time in his yard. He always had a joke to share, delivered with a smirk on his face and a twinkle in his eye. Todd truly cherished every moment with all his customers. They were the highlight of his career.Together with his brother Jerry, he owned and operated Hollander's Pub and Grill (formerly Willie's Supper Club). Todd's earlier ventures included Thunder and Lightning, Pine Street Bar, and the Lincoln Inn.Todd is survived by his wife of 23 years, Connie; children: Kaitlyn Christine, attending UW Oshkosh, and Peter John, attending UW Milwaukee; parents: John and Betty Verbruggen; siblings: Mike (Paula), Chris (Terry) Eiting, Don (Diane), Jerry (Denise) and Anne (Chris) Minten; mother-in-law: Barbara Gietman; brother and sister-in-law: Dr. Thomas (Lori) Gietman and Jenni (Rick) Roberts. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and many friends.Todd was preceded in death by his father-in-law; Peter J. Gietman, Jr.; and cousins Lee "2-E" Verbruggen and Rick Ebben.Visitation will be held Monday, August 19, 2013 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St., Little Chute) beginning at 12:00 noon until a time of memory sharing at 3:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will follow at 5:00 pm on Monday at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St., Little Chute) with Rev. Ronald Belitz officiating. (Please meet directly at church.) The family will establish a memorial in Todd's name. Please note that Main Street is under construction.   • Death: Joseph Peter Gehl died on February 16, 2000, at age 92, in Appleton, Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Burial: He was buried in St Mary Cemetery, Hilbert, Calumet Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Joseph Peter Gehl Joseph P. Gehl, age 92, of Askeaton, died on Wednesday, February 16, 2000, at an Appleton hospital. He was born April 18, 1907, in Hilbert to Andrew and Anna (Britten) Gehl, the seventh child of 12.

    He worked at Kohler Co. for five years. He married Emily Jacobs on October 1, 1929.

    They farmed in the Forest Junction area for 35 years. He owned a trucking business for six years. He served as the Webster School Clerk as a trustee at St. Francis Parish, Hollandtown, and on the Village Board of Hilbert. He also worked for White Clover Dairy and for the Town of Woodville.

    Joseph is survived by two daughters, Dolores Farrell and Jo Ann Wall, with whom he made his home for the past five years, both of Askeaton three sons, Charles (Betty) Gehl, Sherwood Jerome (Mary) Gehl and Gene (Jo) Gehl, all of Kaukauna 26 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren five step great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by a sister Rosamond (John) Andes, and a sister-in- law, Helen Gehl. He is further survived by his in-laws. Herman Jacobs and Otto and Dorothy Reiser, Norb (Mary) Euclide, Eleanor Jacobs, Gladys Jacobs, and Carl Reuter. He was preceded in death by his wife Emily in 1994, his parents, six brothers, four sisters and two sons-in-law, Gene Farrell and Jim Wall. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 21st at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert. The Reverends Rallen Stencil, and Joe's nephews, Fr. Gordon Gilsdorf and Fr. Dan Gilsdorf concelebrating mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

    Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and then at St. Mary Church, Hilbert, on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of mass. A parish prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
