Voet was born Feb 27, 1903 in Wrightstown. He had operated the hardware store since coming to Kaukauna in 1936 He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Council 1033 and a member of St Man Holy Name Soneh Survivors are his wife Ruth, three daughters. Si¬ętrr Man Soma of Milwaukee Mary Voet at home, and Mrs Richard Mayette nf Milwaukee, two sons. Peter, at home, and Daniel. Kaukauna. one brother. Emil of Wrightstown: two sisters. Mrs James T i e r n e y . nehtstown. and Mrs Ervin Smits. De Pere. and three grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 11 30 a m Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kauk.iuiia Burial will be in the parish cemetery Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home in Kaukauna after 2pm Monday until the hour of the service. The rosary will he prayed at the funeral home at 8 p m. Mon.

  • Note: Philip A. Van Gheem, 76, of Town of Lawrence, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 28, 2017. He was born December 17, 1940 in the Town of Lawrence to Raphael and Alberta (De Ruyter) Van Gheem. On June 23, 1962 Phil married the former Delores Van Den Heuvel.

    Phil was a dairy farmer all of his life on his farm Hemlock Creek Farms in the Town of Lawrence. He was a truly hard working man and he took great care with everything he did for his family, the farm, his garden, or with anything he was associated. He appreciated his drives around the farmlands to assess his neighbors crops.

    Phil was a retired Town of Lawrence firefighter, a member of the Abbot Pennings Council 3955 Knights of Columbus, and was an absolute Green Bay Packers fan.

    Phil was a true humble man who did things quietly where necessary. He was a devout Catholic member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish with his 7:30 AM morning mass family.

    Phil's life was always centered around his family, no matter what, he truly loved every moment with them playing cards, sheepshead, or anything.

    Phil is survived by his wife Delores Van Gheem; three daughters: Susan (John) Amond, Jennifer (William) Buechl; and Peggy (Troy) Schneider; his 8 grandchildren: Skye, Chris, and Erick Amond, Meghan and Emilie Buechl, Phillip, Garrett, and Collin Schneider. He is further survived by his siblings: Anna M. (Louis) Peterson, John "Jack" (Mary Ann) Van Gheem, and Nick (Connie) Van Gheem; nieces, nephews, and Delores family. Phil was preceded in death by his parents Raphael and Alberta Van Gheem; brother Daniel (Gayle) Van Gheem; father and mother-in-law George and Elsie Van Den Heuvel; and extended family members.

    Family and friends may visit on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere. A Prayer service will be at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, De Pere, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM with Fr. Tim Shillcox, O.     Mrs. Lester A. Janssen

    Age 57, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Rochester, Minnesota following a lingering illness. She was born October 16, 1921 in Appleton. She was employed at the Kimberly Clark Corp, Neenah, for 30 years, until her retirement in 1971. Mrs. Janssen was an active member of the First English Lutheran Church and the Quarter Century Club of Kimberly Clark.

    Survivors include her husband, Lester; her mother, Mrs. Karl [Clara] Streck, Appleton; two brothers, Earl Streck, Rt. 1, Menasha; Vilas Streck, Appleton.

    She was preceded in death by her father in 1972. The complete funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First English Lutheran Church with the Rev. Leonard A. Ziemer officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park. The casket will be closed, however friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Wichmann Funeral Home and after 1 p.m. Friday at the church until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.

  • Note: Michael L. Janssen, Kaukauna, age 60, died Sunday September 9, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. Mike was born in Appleton on August 5, 1952 to Roman G. and Bernice F. (Mancl) Janssen. He married Alice M. Brooks on August 31, 1973 at St. Mary's Parish in Menasha. Mike was an Army veteran and a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258, Little Chute. Athletics were a large part of his life. He played baseball for many years and had a faithful exercise regimen, rarely missing a day. Mike also was an avid follower of the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. As a Janssen, music also played an immense role in his life. He and his brothers sang together often. Mike was a member of Holy Cross Parish where he sang with the choir. He recently retired from Appleton Coated after 40 years of service. Mike cherished his family and treasured each of his 13 grandchildren.

    Mike is survived by his wife of 39 years, Alice; children: Adam G. (Sarah) of Kaukauna; Amy M. (partner Ramiro Garcia) of Kaukauna; and Ann T. (Kevin) Schmid of Neenah; grandchildren: Dustin and Tamara Van Asten, Logan and Lauren Janssen, Cole and Haley Beach, Cody, Justin, Kylie, Alexy, Lola, Isabell and Wyatt Schmid; mother Bernice Janssen of Little Chute; brothers and sisters: Greg (Nancy), Geri (Joan), Doug (Deb), Mary (Dave) Vandehey, Jim (Nancy), Bill, Peg (Al) Van Asten, Marty (Harriet), Laurie Verhagen, Kris (Bruce) Evers and Ellen (Steve) Reynebeau; father-in-law: Robert Brooks; and sister and brother-in-law: Joan (Mark) Christman and Tom (Jayme) Brooks. He is further survived by 50 nieces and nephew, as well as other relatives and many friends.

    Mike was preceded in death by his father Roman Janssen; mother-in-law Luella (Moehn) Brooks; brother-in-law Walt Audette; niece Rebecca M. Janssen; and nephew Joseph R.M. Christman.

    Visitation will be held Thursday September 13, 2012 at HOLY CROSS PARISH (309 Desnoyer St. Kaukauna) beginning at 1:00 p.m. until Mass at 4:00 p.m. The Rev. John Christman (Mike's nephew) will officiate. Military rites conducted by the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258 will immediately follow. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery.
