    Clarence J. "Bud" Koch of 320 E. 17th Street, Kaukauna, age 83, died Wednesday, October 18, 1995 at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna, following a lengthy illness.
    He was born March 27, 1912, in Kaukauna, the son of the late Otto and Agnes (Brill) Koch. He graduated form Kaukauna High School in 1933. Bud married Leah Sager on September 29, 1934, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. He was employed at Gustman Cheverolet as a salesman for 38 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Kaukauna.
    Survivors include his wife, Leah (Sager) Koch; a son, David Koch and his fiance, Barbara Sanders of Kaukauna; three daughters and a son-in-law, Karen Andrews of Kaukauna, Paula Brandt of Kaukauna, Christine and Michael Krueger of Sherwood; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-greandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Bob Koch of Milwaukee, Paul Koch of Kaukauna, Patricia Koch of Kaukauna; a sister, Mary Gossens of Kimberly.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerome Koch.
    The Mass of Resurrection was at 11 a.m.Saturday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with the Rev. John Hephner officiating. burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna.
    Pallbearers were Pat Kenney Jim Gustman, Tom Gustman, Al Mengarelli, Don Biselx, and Norbert Noie.
    A memorial fund has been established in his name.

    Koch, Leah A.
    Leah Koch, of Kaukauna, age 92, passed away early on Monday, March 3, 2008. She was born in Kaukauna on December 27, 1915, daughter of the late Albert and Anna (Ryser) Sager. On September 29, 1934, she married her high school sweetheart, Clarence "Bud" Koch; he preceded her in death in 1996. Leah enjoyed feeding the birds in her yard, spending time with her family and grandchildren and going out to eat.

    Leah is survived by three children: David (Barbara) Koch of Kaukauna, Paula (Dwayne) Beyer of Kaukauna, and Christy (Michael) Krueger of Sherwood; ten grandchildren: Brian Koch and his special friend Carla, Kelly (John) Swedberg, Craig (Karen) Koch, Daryl (Sue) Koch, Kim (Leo) Culloo, Robert Andrews Jr., Lisa (Richard) Ley, William (Michelle) Brandt, Kyle Krueger and his fiancee Bridget, and Cole Krueger and his special friend Alana; five step-grandchildren: Dwayne (Kristy) Beyer Jr., Deborah Beyer, Denise (Tony) Hardy, Danielle Beyer, and Kim Beyer; sixteen great-grandchildren, ten step-great-grandchildren, and one step-great-great-granddaughter. Leah is also survived by two brothers-in-law: Robert Koch of Menasha and Paul Koch of King, Wisconsin.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bud in 1996, a daughter Karen Andrews in 2000, a great-granddaughter Noel Brandt, and brothers and sisters: Art (Rachel) Sager, Albert (Amelia) Sager, Leonard (Irya) Sager, Edward (Esther) Sager, Buddy Sager, Ruth (Polly) Graeser, Lillian (Cal) Ericson, Edna (Ben) Diederich, and Esther (Ed) Kalupa; a brother-in-law Jerome (Pat) Koch; and a sister-in-law Mary Gossens.

    The Funeral Liturgy for Leah will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH (St. Al's Site), 2401 Main Avenue in Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again at the church on Thursday after 10:30 a.m.

    Leah will also be missed by her dear friends Helen Dix, Don and Donna Kott, and Paul and Mary Carnot. Paul and Jean Jansen were also dear friends and neighbors who "adopted" Leah - without their help she would not have been able to stay in her home until the age of 91.

    The family would also like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Brewster Village in Appleton. The nurses and CNAs were all so compassionate and caring. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

    Mom and Dad, we know that the 1932 Prom King and Queen are finally together again, enjoying another dance in heaven. We love and miss you both, today and always. Love, your family.

  • Note: My great grandmother's name is Leah Koch. She lived in Kaukauna all her life, and never worked. She was 93 years old when she died in March 2008. She got her first drivers license when she was 65.
    On Christmas we always went over to her house. She always dressed nicely. She always told jokes and made me laugh a lot! On Christmas she gave me presents.

    Age 83, passed away at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Appleton after a long illness. She was born December 14, 1882 in Kaukauna and lived there until about 10 years ago when she moved to Appleton. Mrs. Belling is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Earl (Lillian) Myers, So. Milwaukee; Mrs. Paul (Ruby) Wydeven, Kimberly; Mrs. Melvin (Olive) Skalmusky; Mrs. Robert (Elaine) Kersher; Mrs. Leslie (Joyce) Pelke, all of Kaukauna; two sons, John, Milwaukee and Carl, Kaukauna; one brother, Joseph Kroll, Bellingham, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. John DeYoung, Shreveport, La. and Mrs. Paul Hanig, Appleton; 20 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Church, Kaukauna with burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral home, Kaukauna, after 3 p.m. Thursday where the rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m.

Faye was born to Wesley and Edna Hansen Scutt on May 20, 1920. She graduated from Gillett High School with the class of 1938 and beauty college in Green Bay. On March 11, 1941, she married Harlan Metzler at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Oconto Falls. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and River Island Golf Club. Throughout her life, Fay had many joys, family times, golfing, playing bridge, knitting, sewing, crafts and traveling. She will always be lovingly remembered by her family for her great Sunday dinners of baked chicken and fresh apple pie. Faye always had an open door for her friends and neighbors to visit. Survivors are her husband of 59 years, Harlan; their four children, Carole Gary Van Zeeland, Kaukauna; Karen Dave DePagter, Tampa, FL; Tom Metzler, Green Bay; Cathy Kurt VanSomeren, McFarland; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Marian Fredrick; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob and Alice Metzler, Millie Metzler all of Oconto Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sons, John and James, as well as many bridge and golf partners. The family will receive relatives and friends with her urn present after 6 p.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Oconto Falls until the time of services. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church with Fr. Harold Beerntsen and Patricia DeGroot, parish director, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Jones Funeral Service, Oconto Falls is serving the Metzler family.

    CarolAnn L Meulemans, age 74, of Kaukauna, passed away on May 27, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born September 9, 1934, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Gordon and Lola (Luchterhand) Elsner. On February 14, 1956, she married Howard Meulemans in Kaukauna. CarolAnn was a member of the Kaukauna Homemakers and enjoyed crafts, baking and her pets. She had a pen pal, Olwen Dawson for 64 years in Australia.

    CarolAnn is survived by her children: Pamela (William) Cipala, Richfield, MN and Jim (Jane) Meulemans, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Kelsey and Wade Cipala; Jayme and Travis (Crystal) Meulemans; great grandson: Kaynen Meulemans; sister-in-law: Toshiko Morgan; brother-in-law: Gerhardt Pergande. She is further survived by several Elsner cousins, Howard's siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    CarolAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; son, Thomas; brother, Merlin Elsner and sister, Dawn Pergande.

    A memorial visitation for CarolAnn will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
