    Martin C. Geurden
    'Tease' 510 E. 1st St. Kimberly

    Age 78, died peacefully Monday, December 24, 1990 at his home following a lingering illness. He was born August 5, 1912 in De Pere the son of the late Henry and Mary [Pittens] Geurden. Tease had been employed at Kimberly Clark, Kimberly mill for 35 years, retiring in 1975. He enjoyed fixing bikes and softball, which he had played in a semi pro league, and looked forward to the world softball tourment in Kimberly. He was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church, and the Quarter Century Club of Kimberly Clark.

    He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lucille [Jansen] Geurden; four sons and three daughters in-law; Roger and Donna Geurden, Kimberly; Clyde Geurden, Winneconnie; David and Sharon Geurden, Oshkosh; Randy and Chris Geurden, Appleton; a daughter; Mary Bruch, Kimberly; ten grandchildren; Tim Geurden, Kimberly; Michelle [Geurden] Paustian, Appleton; Tammy and Tracy Geuden, Oshkosh; Anthony and Barry Corrao [Geurden], Oconomowoc; Julia and Eric Bruch, Kimberly; Carrissa and Lucas Geurden, Appleton.

    He was preceded in death by a son, Rodney; three sisters; Anne Vandenberg, Grace Effa, and Kate Biesterveld; a daughter in-law; Felicia Geurden; a grandson, Cory Corrao [Geurden.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Al Geiser officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, 204 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, and after 8:30 a.m. on Friday until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. A memorial fund has been established in his name.

    Little Chute-Mrs. John Mollen, 82, died Tuesday morning at her home here after a lingering illness. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Alphonse Van Gorp, Canton, Ohio; Mrs. Simon Van Gorp, Appleton, Mrs. John Vander Putten, Little Chute; one son, Joseph, Little Chute; 30 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Tickler, Green Bay. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o'clock Friday morning at St. John church by the Very Rev. John J. Sprangers and burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Members of the St. Elizabeth society of St. John church, of which the decedent was a member, will attend the funeral in a body.

    Mary Rollo, daughter or Mr. and Mrs. Abner Rollo, was born in Champlain, N.Y. in February, 1855. She came with her parents to this city at the age of seven, and had lived here since. Her marriage to J.C. Hickey took place 54 years ago. Surviving besides the widower, are one daughter, Josephine; one son, J.C. Hickey, Jr., three sisters, Mrs. Charles Clifford and Mrs. Amos Lamore, Oakland, Calif., Mrs. George McDermott, Hortonville; and one brother, Charles Rollo, Mukwa.

    Her Illness Ended

    Mrs. Abner Rollo, for many years a respected resident of this section, died at the family residence in New London, at three o’clock Monday afternoon, after a lingering illness from heart difficulty. The deceased was fifty-five years of age, and leaves to sincerely mourn her loss, the husband and six children – four daughters and two sons, viz. Mrs. John Hickey, Mrs. Louis Le More, Mrs. George McDermot, Mrs. Emma Rollo, Alexander and Charles Rollo. The lady was a most exemplary member of the Catholic church and the services at the church edifice of that denomination Wednesday afternoon called an immense concourse of people who thus sought to honor the memory of a good woman.
