    Henry was born March 24, 1917 in Menasha, Wisconsin to the late John and Helen (Kolasinski) Gajewski. He married Annacile Kobussen on April 25, 1942 in St. John's Church, Little Chute. They resided in Menasha, Wisconsin from 1942 to 2006, when they moved to Stevens Point, Wisconsin to be closer to family. While living in Menasha he attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a charter member of St. John's Home School Association. After moving to Stevens Point he attended Celebration Church.

    He was employed as a printer by American Can Company for 30 years, retiring in 1979. Henry was a member of the Quarter Century Club, Pressman Local 77P and the International Printing and Graphic Communications Union. He was the first president of Boys Sports Association and was instrumental in building the first little league baseball fields in Menasha.

    Henry was well known and loved by many, always having a good word for everyone he met. He loved to fish and was known by his family as a magician, an inventor, a 'fixer' and a captivating teller of stories. Henry was a sports enthusiast and loved following the Packers and the Brewers. In the last few years of his life he became a walker, putting on 1 to 2 miles a day, rain or shine, and loving every minute of it. This gentle and tender-hearted man will be greatly missed.

    Survivors include two daughters, Kristine Sklar, Scottsdale, AZ. and Katie (Gene) Kohn, Stevens Point, WI; a foster son, Joe Kiesow, Appleton, WI; grandchildren, Lisa Miller, Boca Raton, FL., Angela Slate (William), Santa Monica, CA., Jennifer Hoppe (David), Oregon, WI., Ryan Kohn (Tawnya Schilt), Stevens Point, WI., Jaclyn and Julianne (Gajewski) Kobasic, Phoenix, AZ., and a step grandson, Brandon Roth, Phoenix, AZ.; great grandchildren, Samantha and Molly Hoppe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

    Preceding him in death were: his wife, Annacile; his son, Stephen; his parents; his brothers, Joseph, Edward and George; a sister, Marie Wisneski.

    Funeral services for Henry will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon immediately following the service at Germania's, 320 Chute Street, Menasha.

    On Henry's behalf, his family expresses heartfelt appreciation to Community Care of Central Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Henry's name. Donations will be given to this great organization. The family also extends deep gratitude to the staffs of Aspirus VNA, Wellington Place of Whiting and Ministry Hospice. May the goodness and kindness they shared with Henry return to them in full measure.

    Tennessen, Gladys M. Gladys M. Tennessen, Menasha, age 80, passed away on Friday April 13, 2007 at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Gladys was born October 26, 1926 in Little Chute, the daughter of the late William and Cornelia (DeBruin) Kobussen. She married James W. Tennessen on October 25, 1947 at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2006.

    Gladys is survived by her children: Tim Tennessen, Washington; Mark (Sue) Tennessen, Appleton; Mary (Jim) McFarland, Iron River; Suzie (Mike) Reiter, Neenah; seven grandchildren: Lea Anne (Scott) Hoelzel, Sarah (Jamin) Bowen, Matthew (Kati) Reiter, Erik Reiter, Jessica (Justin) McClure, Jacob (Katie) Tennessen, Andrew Tennessen and six great-grandchildren: Kiela, Jarik, Jaina, Levi, Samara and Adaiah. She is also survived by two sisters: Lucina Wydeven, Kimberly, and Annacile (Henry) Gajewski, Stevens Point, several nieces and nephews.

    Gladys was preceded in death by two brothers: Albert Kobussen and Robert Kobussen; her sister, Eileene Tennessen, and her brother-in-law, Vincent Wydeven.

    The memorial mass for Gladys will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 516 De Pere St., Menasha. Family and friends will be received at the church on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until the hour of the memorial mass. Lunch will follow at the church.

    Tennessen, James W. James W. Tennessen, Menasha, age 80, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday evening July 16, 2006, at his home with his family by his side. Jim was born December 12, 1925, in Kaukauna, the son of the late Antone and Martha (Balck) Tennessen. Jim married Gladys Kobussen on October 25, 1947, at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute. Jim served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed businessman.

    Jim was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Menasha. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and he was an avid card player. He was a past president of the Menasha School Board, a member of the Nicolet Council Knights of Columbus #1838 and the American Legion Post #0436.

    Jim is survived by his wife, Gladys, his children: Tim Tennessen, Washington; Mark (Sue) Tennessen, Appleton; Mary (Jim) McFarland, Iron River and Suzie (Mike) Reiter, Neenah. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Lea Anne (Scott) Hoelzel, Sarah (Jamin) Bowen, Matthew (Kati) Reiter, Erik Reiter, Jessica (Justin) McClure, Jacob (fiancee' Katie) Tennessen and Andrew Tennessen, five great-grandchildren: Kiela, Jarik, Jaina, Levi, Samara and a baby to come. He is also survived by his brother, Robert (Lillian) Tennessen of Little Chute, and several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his brother, Art Tennessen and his sister-in-law, Eileen Tennessen.

    Memorial services for Jim will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2006, 6 p.m. at Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha. Family and friends will be received on Thursday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the hour of service. Following the services a luncheon will be held at Briarwood Cottages in Menasha.

    In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.

    Jim's family wishes to give a special thank you to his hospice nurse Rachel Schroeder and close family friend, Neal Isbell.

  • Note: Age 85, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. Della was born in Little Chute on October 4, 1915, daughter of the late William and Anna (Evers) DeBruin. On January 30, 1937, Della married Carl Gast; he preceded her in death on February 3, 1995. In her younger years, she was employed by Kaukauna Club Cheese. Later, she and Carl purchased the Pine Castle in Seymour and eventually owned and operated the Hill Club in Nichols. The couple retired to Green Bay in 1980.

    Della is survived by two daughters: Shirley Yonke of Appleton and Valorie (Bob) Paul of Green Bay; four grandchildren: Leanne Paul of Green Bay, Erik (Tricia) Paul of Green Bay, Leslie (Scott) Hoffmann of Oconto Falls, and April Fink of Appleton; three great-grandchildren: Kayla Posvic, Bryce Paul, and Hunter Hoffmann; four sisters: Betty (Ellis) Batley of Milwaukee, Grace Bagin of Milwaukee, Eunice (Cletus) Ertl of Little Chute, and Florence Munes of Kaukauna; two sisters-in-law: Margaret DeBruin of Milwaukee and Connie DeBruin of Menomonee Falls. Della was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl in 1995, a granddaughter Robin Lea Paul, a son-in-law Herbert Yonke in 1989, a sister Dorothy (Martin) Natrop, brothers Richard and Donald DeBruin, and brothers-in-law Eugene Munes and Frank Bagin.

    Funeral services for Della will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 6, 2001 at TRINITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 804 Grignon Street in Kaukauna with Rev. Ronald Raddatz officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.

    Munes, Florence M. "Bubbie" Florence Munes, of Kaukauna, age 76 years, died on Thursday, December 27, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born June 10, 1931, in Little Chute, the daughter of the late William and Anna (Evers) DeBruin. Florence enjoyed rock-n-roll, crossword puzzles, reading and loved being with her family.

    She is survived by her sons: Dave (friend Sandy) Munes, Dan (Tracy) Munes and Bill (Jackie) Munes; her daughter: Debbie (friend Jay) Wiegert; grandchildren: Kelly, Amy, Jacob, Eric, Amber, Ashley and Sara; great-grandchildren: Alivia, Collyn and Gracy; sister: Eunice (Cletus) Ertl. Florence is further survived by her niece and special friend, Rosalie Natrop, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, son Donald Munes and many brothers and sisters.

    The funeral liturgy for Florence will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 29, 2007, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL — ST. MARY SITE, 119 W. Seventh St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery. Visitation at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
