    Coenen, Mrs. Edward (Regina) Mrs. Edward (Regina) Coenen, 96, De Pere, went to her eternal rest on Sunday evening Oct. 14, 2007. The daughter of the late Martin and Bertha (Schampers) Cornelissen was born in De Pere, on Jan. 14, 1911. She married Edward Coenen on June 9, 1936, at St. Boniface Church, De Pere. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1983. Together Regina and Ed were lifetime residents of the De Pere Area, farming in the Towns of Rockland and Hobart. After her husband was blinded in an accident in 1951, Regina continued to farm with her two sons, Gerald and Ervin. Regina ended her farming career in 1984 and moved into town shortly thereafter. Both Ed and Regina were active members of the Badger Association of the Blind and the Midwest Association of the Blind. Regina enjoyed Square Dancing early in her life and card playing later on, especially at the De Pere Community Center and with her grandchildren, always saving the "Big Black" for last. Regina was a committed parishioner at St. Boniface Church and Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Regina is survived by her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gerald Coenen, Ashwaubenon; and Ervin and Janice Coenen, De Pere; two grandchildren, Larry (Deb) Coenen, Freedom; Chad (Alishia) Coenen, De Pere; one granddaughter-in-law, Carrie Coenen, Waunakee; as well as one great-grandson, Kyle Coenen, Waunakee. She is further survived by her brother, Norman Cornelissen, and her brother-in-law, Harold Linsmier. Regina was preceded in death by her husband, Ed. The oldest of seven children, Regina was also preceded in death by her siblings, Angeline Klister, Geneva Linsmier, Lloyd Cornelissen, and Vernon Cornelissen, She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Keith Coenen. Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, De Pere from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2007. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5 p.m. with Father Tim Shillcox, O.     Edward P. Coenen, 79 route 5 Cyrus Dr. died unexpectedly Monday evening at his home. Born in the town of Rockland Dec. 19, 1903, he was a son of the late John P. and Nellie Hendr icks Coenen. He married the former Regina Cornelissen June 9, 1936, at St. Boniface church.
    Mr. Coenen farmed in the town of Rockland and Hobart. He then attended the Blind school in J anesville and learned leathercraft. He was a member of the Badger Association of the Blind. Survivors are his wife; two sons, Gerald at home and Ervin of De Pere. three grandchildren; o ne brother Lawrence Coenen of route 2 De Pere; two sisters, Agnes Coenen and Mrs. Lawrence (N ettie) Van Deurzen, both of route 2. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dora and Anna. Funeral services are being held at 10: o'clock this morning at St. Boniface church with the R ev.   • Note: Norman Cornelissen, 84, of De Pere, was guided by the hand of his loving wife on Tuesday August 5, 2014 to join her eternally in Heaven, where they will rest together after his long battle with cancer. The son of the late Martin and Bertha (Schampers) Cornelissen was born October 22, 1929 in De Pere. On July 11, 1951, he married Veronica "Monica" Eckardt at Old St. Joe's Church in De Pere. She preceded him in death on August 9, 2007.

    Norman was most recently employed at Paper Machine Converting Company, where he enjoyed working as a parts trucker until his retirement. Earlier in his career, he worked at Packerland Packing. He enjoyed camping, hunting, telling stories about his growing up in the family farm and his training in the service. He enjoyed working with his hands and working in the yard. Norman "Sonny" was an all-around handy man.

    Survivors include his daughter Sheila (David) Eagle, three grandchildren, Jessica (Tige) Lear, Jennifer Eagle, and Crystal (Chris) Fonder, eight great-grandchildren, Riley Hockers, Lexie Lear, Skylla Eagle, Ayden Christensen, Hunter Ferrington, Storm Ferrington, Winter Fonder, Lukas Fonder, and one sister, Verna Hockers, and numerous nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Monica, brothers Vernon and Lloyd, sisters Regina Coenen, Angenie Klister and Geneva Linsmier, as well as Monica's family, Francis Rosik and Irene Kocken.

    Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Saturday August 9, 2014.     Cornelissen, Veronica "Monica" (Eckardt) Veronica "Monica" (Eckardt) Cornelissen, 76, passed away peacefully in her sleep Aug. 9, 2007, at home. Veronica was born May 24, 1931, to John and Anna Eckardt in Birnamwood, Wis. She married Norman Cornelissen on July 11, 1951, at Old St. Joseph Church in De Pere. She enjoyed camping, cooking, playing cards, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and shopping. She worked as a cook at St. Joseph Priory and A&W then as a waitress at the Ferris Wheel and finally a launderer at Borneman's Nursing Home. Monica is survived by her husband, Norman; daughter, Sheila (David) Eagle; grandchildren, Jessica (Tige) Lear, Jennifer L. (Jesse) Christensen, and Crystal M. Ferrington; great grandchildren, Lexie Lear, Skylla Eagle, and Hunter and Storm (Maria) Ferrington. She is further survived by her special niece, Linda Kocken and nephew Ted Kocken. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, Francis Rosik and Irene Kocken. Visitation for Monica will be Saturday Aug. 11, 2007, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N.     Death of a 75-year-old Kaukauna man early this morning of complications resulting from injuries suffered when he was struck by a car Friday increased. to 13 the number of traffic fatalities in Outagamie county this year.

    Dead is John Kersten, 215 E. Ducharme street, Kaukauna. He died at 1 o'clock this morning.

    Outagamie County Coroner Bernard Kemps said Kersten died of pneumonia resulting from injuries he suffered in the accident. No inquest will be held, Kemps declared.

    Friday Morning

    Kersten was struck by a car driven by Susan Mae Reddeck, 19, Wauwatosa, as he attempted to walk across Highway 41 near Highway 55 about 10 o'clock Friday morning. He suffered a fractured pelvis, ribs and from shock.

    Kersten was crossing west on the highway when he was hit by the right side of the vehicle. Miss Reddeck's car skidded 110 feet as she tried to avoid striking the pedestrian, but the car struck Kersten a glancing blow, knocking him to the pavement. Kaukauna police said.

    Funeral services for Kersten. who was born July 25, 1881 in Johnsburg, will he held at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at Holy Cross Catholic church. Kaukauna, with burial in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Thursday and Friday evenings at the Greenwood Funeral home, Kaukauna, where friends may call after 7 o'clock tonight.

    Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Clem Nabbefeld. Appleton, Mrs. Orville Spaulding, Combined Locks, Mrs. Al Bloch and Mrs. Edwin VanDyke, both of Kaukauna; two sons, Edwin and Paul, both of Kaukauna; one sister, Mrs. Louis Haensgen, Johnsburg; 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

  • Note: Donald Van Dyke, 79 years, of Howard, Wisconsin returned to the Lord Thursday, December 29, 2016 at ManorCare West, Green Bay. He was born August 25, 1937 to his loving parents Edwin F. and Dorothy M. (Kersten) Van Dyke in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. His early years were spent squirrel, rabbit or deer hunting on the family property. Don was a graduate of Kaukauna High School Class of 1955. He was drafted into the US Army and served during the "Cold War".

    On July 31, 1965 Donald and Patricia (Brechlin) Van Dyke were married at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, Wisconsin. Together they settled in Kaukauna to raise their family. His favorite times were traveling to Milwaukee to visit family and catch a Brewers or Bucks game. He also enjoyed watching Packer or Badger games occasionally getting a ticket to see them. Don was an avid fisherman taking the family on trips to Lake Winnebago where the kids would skate during ice fishing season. Don and Patricia would take casino bus trips to Green Bay and Escanaba to try their luck. Most of all Don loved to spend time with family and friends at Octoberfest at Holy Cross.

    Don will be missed by his wife Patricia (Brechlin) Van Dyke, children Melissa (Thomas) Arnoldi of Howard, and Sara (William) Rieselbach of Milwaukee, grandchildren Kayla and Matthew Arnoldi, and sister Charlotte (Joe) Weyenberg. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Preceded in death by his parents Edwin F. and Dorothy Van Dyke and a brother Edwin T. (Judy) Van Dyke.

    A Memorial Mass for Don will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 11 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna. Fr. Tom Pomeroy celebrant. Private inurnment Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at Holy Cross Catholic Church Thursday, from 9 am until time of Mass.

    Don's family thanks the staff of ManorCare West of Green Bay for their loving and professional care of him. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Don's name contributing to the National Parkinson Foundation will be established.

    Margie was born January 17, 1924, in Appleton, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Scherer) Kersten. While she was attending Kaukauna High School, she met her future husband Orville and they were married in June 1944 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. He preceded her in death in September 2004. Margie then met her other sweetie Len Kutz in 2006. It was Len's gentle encouragement that Margie became a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Appleton. During her lifetime, Margaret worked as a secretary and as a child care provider.

    Survivors include her sweetheart, Len; her son, Thomas Spaulding, Appleton; two grandchildren: Jesse Spaulding and Shelley (Jeff) Christopherson; great-grandchildren: Dylon, Benjamin, Lexa (deceased), Mickayla, and Nathan; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by all her siblings and spouses: Lucille Nabbefeld, Bertha Bloch Effa, Dorothy Van Dyke, Paul Kersten and Edwin Kersten, and all of Orville's siblings and spouses.

    The memorial service for Margie will be Thursday, May 23, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Star of Hope Chapel, Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Visitation will begin Thursday at 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the Highland Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Margie's honor may be sent to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Building Fund, 2330 E. Calumet St., Appleton, 54915.
